We dont! We dont even get ready for dinner until after the show (late seating) unless it is formal night, then it takes more time to get all snazzied up

Good morning everyone!!!​

I can't believe we are soo close to cruising. I am just besides myself. There is nothing, I mean nothing else on my brain but this vacation. Not too many people want to talk to me anymore cause that's all I'm talking about. Who wants to hear about someone else's vacation?


One question though--for the kids do you pack a lot of T-shirts or Tanks? When they are in the clubs, is it mostly at nighttime or daytime? Is it cold in there?

Oh, just one more--is it worth it to pack a travel iron?

I am sure it has been answered but in case not, I pack Tees for my kids. They are easy and comfy.
Travel iron, I think are not allowed in the staterooms for fire hazards. We usually send stuff out the first thing to be pressed.

Speaking of gicing things out, I read a thread on the main board about DISers giving stuff out to fellow DISers once onboard...the only time we did something like this was at halloween time....some of the ideas on the thread were really neat, but please tell me I am not going to feel like a shameel (sp? real word? whoknows) LOL for not having thought to bring anything to give out to yall?!?!? I like yall and all that, but I dont think about stuff like that! LOL

We've had it in varying degrees. We prefer to give our gifts out at the start of the cruise in the form of the buttons.

On the 10 day we got a couple different gifts. Some ornaments from a couple of very nice families (thank you very much). One of the members on early seating gave out small flashlights from his company to all the DIS members sitting around him (don't know if he ever made it to 2nd seating). He also gave out pins that his wife designed (they are big pin collectors).

On the Member cruise one family gave out pens with the cruise date on them, another family gave out bookmarks they made for everyone, and two of the girls gave out pedicure kits so a select group of the regulars after we had a day long discussion on pedicures.

I know that little gifts and trinkets were big on the repo cruises as wel.

As for me I value the friendships I've made as the greatest gift.

UPDATE: BAGS/SHIRTS

Talked to the vendor this morning and it looks like things are going well. The extra shirts came in and they are printing those today, as well as finishing the bags. She said things should ship tomorrow afternoon. She is going to be in my neighborhood tomorrow, so she is delivering mine to me. When I get my stuff, I will let you all know....

A Downtown Disney Question for those of you in the know - never having visited without Disney resort transportation - what is the parking situation like at DTD? is there a charge? Any parking suggestions?

We arrive at MCO around noon on Friday and would probably spend a few hours at DTD until the meet at JBs.
