Good Morning Cruisers!

We sail in 21 days!

Three weeks from today!

Last call for the buttons and navigators! Deadline is tomorrow.

I put up the newest version of the navigator list that has all the corrections sent in. Thanks to those who checked and thanks to the people who told me about one typo they caught of someone else's since I never did hear from that person. :)

Hi Mary - Good Morning!!!!

well I have to admit, I always wondered how the necklaces still would not tangle in a jewely roll??? I appreicate the offer, but I am going to take your word on the cardboard and tape idea!

Amanda - I use zip locks - very small, but do not put the entire necklace in the bag, instead leave the catch outside with an inch or so of the chain outside - it does not tangle.....

And are we close to a milestone..I never checked...

Happy Anniversary to Armyfam - Susan & Paul!

Hi all --
My mood is pretty sour right now. I am sure I would be feeling better if I got my documents today. I can't believe Ron in Vegas has them before me here in Texas has them. What's up with that huh?;)

TaTa

Hope you have better day!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's a link to Trader Joes website. They have information about their products, a newsletter, recipes. Kind of fun to browse.

I like TJ's too.....problem is, it's caddy-corner to Whole Foods.....which isn't convenient for me. Why can't they spread out the love and put these stores AROUND the city instead of grouping them all in one place????

OK I know yall are going to think that I am strange,,...but I am curious if anyone else if feeling like me?
While I am very very very excited about our trip, it has dawned on me that it will be over soon. THat is making me very sad, and now I dont want the time to fly by so fast.....This past year and a half, when I was sick of work, this trip has kept me going....once we got back then what wil lI do??!?!?

Yeah, right. Like we don't already!!! You think THIS is what's going to determine it??? :lmao: :lmao: LYMI!!!

I just have two words for you.....RE-book. Even if it's for next fall (2007) and you know you'll be switching that to sprint of 2008 when the dates open up.....re-book. :)

Here's what I do, and it's cheaper than a jewelry roll.....I use note cards...or even just a piece of cardboard, and tape my necklaces to it...all the way down the chain, but not on the pendant. Works better than anything.

My mom bought me some jewelry case. It's like a faux leathery thing, hard case with compartments in it. The thing is bulkier than anything, and considering I bring about....oh TWO pieces of jewelry, it's OVERKILL. Plus, last time, I put my two necklaces in it, and KT wanted to bring two and even with all of their anti-tangle mechanisms in place, our necklaces were completely tangled when I opened it.

Guess what is NOT coming on this cruise. I like the dishtowel/safety pin idea. I do have some old cloth diapers around, that would work. I'm picturing this......do you just safety pin the tops and the bottoms to the cloth and then roll it up???

It IS pretty late there! I have to go to bed at a fairly decent time....Jordan has a final dress rehearsal for dance. They're performing The Secret Garden tomorrow night....rehearsal's in the a.m.
Jared has a noon game (out in the blasted heat) and then *duh* Jordan's show tomorrow night. Long day.

Wow, that's a lot of dancing in one day. As recital time comes closer here, I'm getting disgusted with how it's run every year. The recital is on the 21st. They JUST found a spot for it. Several girls still do not have costumes. Hats need to be retrofitted to the girls heads. The program is still not started. And the teacher is still bringing out new dances for the girls to learn. It's just such a mess. Plus our "normal" space to practice was being remodeled, and apparently they found asbestos, so it's closed the rest of the year, that means last minute changes every week once the teacher finds somewhere to even practice!

Then I find out that next year they will probably do Phantom of the Opera (they do 1/2 praise and worship, then 1/2 something else) I don't really care, except there is one loudmouth high school student who has personally picked the last THREE themes. She has badgered the teacher into doing it her way every year. Two months ago she already started badgering the teacher about what next year's theme should be (POTO) and she won't let it die until she gets her way.

Good morning all! Busy day for us here. The girls have swimming lessons then we're having their friends and parents over this afternoon. The weather should be nice so hopefully we can hang out in the backyard.

I need to catch up on posts from last night. Guess I'll take a few minutes to do that while I'm having my morning coffee. Then off to clean ... YUCK!!!

Starting tomorrow I'll be a single mom for the week. Bruce is going to Vegas for a conf. for the week ... lucky him!

I've been thinking the exact same thing..........:sad2: I know the standard answer is "Book another cruise"...but it's not the same.........

oops. DON'T see my previous post! :)

Thanks for sharing. Double thanks for the info, I don't think my TA is doing a very good job. They are not really good about getting the best rates. :sad2:

At this point in the game there aren't going to be any good deals. It's so close the rates have all gone up. The best time to book DCL is way in advance. I know some of us, who booked long ago, checked what it would cost if we booked now and it is THOUSANDS of dollars more!!! Same cruise, same food, same entertainment....lots more money.

But...if you are so inclined, I guess I'd have you check out Dreams Unlimited....the DIS sponsor.

p.s. we book through DCL and don't turn it over to a TA. guess it's that loss of control thing. :)

catching back up and finding the U TOP!!!

What is the discount if we rebook on board? I am so excited about this cruise and we have not even sailed I am already thinking about the next one. The DH will call me crazy!!! hahahah

I believe the discount to book onboard is about 10%, but then they usually offer a stateroom credit on top of that (usually $200 for a 7 day cruise)....
I say, even if you aren't sure, rebook on board....you'll have the credit attached to that reservation....and then you can always change the ressie and keep the credit. Or, at the least, you have many many many months to decide if you are going to cancel. :)

You can also book staterooms for friends that will sail with you---on our first cruise we rebooked for ourselves AND a separate stateroom for my parents.....we just had to pay the deposit on both staterooms.

OK ??? and then I really am going to sleep..We are arriving on the 19th...I got a great deal on a flight for my mom but it does not land until 1046pm on the 20th....I need a hassle free (cheap)way to get her from the airport back to our room (that I have yet to reserve) without one of us actually going to pick her up....I was going to try and stay at POP or ASstarts so we could use ME but there is no availabilty...other suggestions? I just dont want to have to drive all the way to the airport wen we could be parking :-)

we've used FL Town Cars for quick, easy, painless transfers to the resorts. Cheap? Dunno about that....I think it was about $100 ROUND TRIP (that included the tip) It's probably more than 1/2 one way....but the drivers are professional, they meet you at the baggage claim, the cars are clean and nice....... much nicer than the taxi situation (which is pretty expensive anyway)

:furious: Now I am really bummed that my aunt didn't book when I asked her to. We all could have been chillin but now she will just have to live though the DD who will share all her DCL moments with her poor cuzin. :sad2: On the other hand I am sure glad we are going!!  :bounce: :yay: :Pinkbounc :woohoo:

That's right! Early bird gets the worm. :)
