The free upgrades are sort of like the lottery. You don't know when and how they happen they just do. Those, however, are few and far between especially on a sailing like ours.

Especially for me!!! Always happens to someone else but I always book what we can live with, this one is oceanview as the last was balcony and I just don't spend the time to warrant the additional $$ and then again it's not our only cruise this year

Yes, we're at the Hyatt. It just seems like every place we go anymore sells Coke, rather than Pepsi. But you may be right as far as just the "regular" store at the airport...the one that sells books, candy, medicines, etc.......

I just hate the thought of stopping, once we're on our way to the port. There are some things that are even more important than my Pepsi!!

Yes, we've been "gone". Alicia's big competition was yesterday. Friday night was the final rehearsal, Saturday morning spent scrambling around trying to find everything she needed, Saturday night everyone went to dinner together. We got back after 11.

Results below. WARNING, major parental braggage!

This was a regional competition with over 160 competition numbers, and about 15 studios participating. Alicia was in eight numbers.

The modern ballet with five dancers was called back to re-dance with three other numbers to compete for a special choreography award. They received second place and a money (!) prize. Another large group number received a Platinum and an award for highest scoring Line number. That's sort of a Production number award. Three numbers she was in got Gold awards.

Her duet number, the "At Last" number I posted pictures from earlier, received a Platinum, a special award for Most Entertaining, and the award for highest scoring Senior Duet/Trio. More money, big thrills! Here's a picture Kevin took last week. As you can tell, it was a comedy number, but also involved some real dancing, including some big jumps and several lifts. They were great! Not the prettiest picture of Alicia, but I love it:

I wasn't posting to be begging.......but, are you really giving me a choice, here?? LOL I don't see that I CAN say no..I think you threatened me!

If you would, if you really, really mean it.....then I would accept. But....you can PM me, and say that it would be too much trouble, and that would be okay. I would only rat you out to a FEW THOUSAND of my best DIS friends.

The 12 oz bottles work the best in the little refridgerators. And I don't know off-hand if they come in a six-pack or separately.....I can get by with four of them, and buy some more in Cozumel if I need to.

We just got back from Sam's. We came out of church and found a screw sticking out of a tire. I told DH might as well get it fixed today, so off to Sam's. Also told him that we didn't need anything; we'd just walk around until the tire was fixed. Everyone knows what happens when you just walk around Sam's. It only ended up costing us a little over $100 for stuff we HAD to have...

Nice to see the updates to the picture gallery. Ours is 2 years old, but we don't have anything recent with all of us. The boys are napping in the living room; nice and quiet around here except for the wind howling outside. Time for me to grab a nap, too, I think.

With the addition of Lunsusie, we now have 56 people on the late dining.

I am now officially "closing" late dinner seating. I'm not pushing our luck by contacting DCL again.

IF anyone wants to be added at this point, I will contact them the week before the cruise...but there will be no guarantees.

WOW! That's a big group! Thanks again for all your help pulling this together. Have you found out our rotation yet, or is that going to be a surprise when we get on board?
