We are leaving on the 19th...we are checking in at OKW on the 20th. It will be the 1st time we have stayed there....does anyone have any tips as to what to request? or what not?

Amanda -- we have stayed at OKW several times as we own DVC. We love the spaciousness of the rooms at OKW (they are biggen than any of the other DVC resorts). The resort is lovely, h owever very big. On your reservation, call and request a room as close as possible to the hospitality house. That way you are closer to the main pool (sandcastle slide), plus the stores, restaurant, etc. What size of room are you getting? Did you rent points or are you paying cash?

We need to let them e-mail... Shelby is convinced that there are only teens on this cruise... getting very jealous of DD13's ability to post...

Maybe we should start a 'Tag-a-longs' thread for the 9 and unders.... Probably be like every other toy... they will play/post for 15 mins and then lose interest! princess:

Bridget would love it, plus there are a couple other 7-9 girls on the trip with us.

We are in an inside cabin this time too... First time w/o a view or air :rolleyes2 I am a little worried but have heard lots of people say they like the room arrangement better. We have had a Cat6; 3w/ a4; and a secret PH on the last trip. So here's hoping the experiment is worth it :thumbsup2

I am looking forward to the trip when the girls are old enough to put in their own inside across the hall from my and DH's cat6!! :woohoo: Party in the room.... if we are still young enough... :rotfl2:

We are up to 3 TX families... or are there more? Last cruise we got in on a pic with 25 TX families and we met a fanily who lived about 15 mins from us!
I am afraid we are transplants. You will be more likely to find DH in a Razorback hat. Shelby is our only true Texan and she is campaigning for a move to Hawaii. :rotfl:

There are actually a few more of us, I think 5 or 6 families. The others don't post as much as Monica or I do. Maybe they have a real life:rotfl2:

Pam,
Thank you so much! This is the info I was looking for... I rented from a friend. We are in the 2br. Friend is a new DVC member, and I am actually getting to use her points before she does! So she did not know much about it either, just that it will have a king bed in master bath and 2 queen beds. I did look at the resort maps and saw how HUGE the resort looks! Would you say that it is bigger than the AllStar resorts put together? Is that close to the bus stop? Is there only one bus stop for the whole resort? That just seems so far!

Karen -- my daughter has extremely sensitive skin and I buy her the new Coppertone Spectra. My pediatrician recommended it and it is the only one that I have used on her face that 1)doesn't iritate it, and 2) doesn't burn as easily. Ibelieve it is about a 45 SPF. She can use a 30 everywhere else, but not on her face.

a second UTOP for tonightpirate:

Thanks! I'll look for it.

Oh gosh! the first many books were awesome! I think that when she killed Benton and then brought him back, that is where things started going down hill! Sorry hope I didnt spoil anything for anyone!

Nope, i am in total agreement with you.

Amanda --

Multiple bus stops, multiple pools. We have stayed in the front of the resort and in the middle by one of the pools (Turtle Cove??, Turtle something). There are lots of bus stops, so no matter when you are at, you can get a bus. We always use our own car because we hate waiting for the busses.

Make sure they don't put you in one of the handicap rooms. They have really funky showers and all of the counters are lower.

Well remembre, I am **only** 5 feet tall! LOL maybe those counters will come in handy! hehe

AManda -- Forgot to mention that you will love a 2 bedroom. THey are huge and you and your husband will get to have some quiet time. The living room/kitchen is between the Master bedroom and the 2nd bedroom

Are they as intriguing as the 1st 2? I think oine of the reasons I was so intrigued by Angels and Demons ad Davinci, is that I was raised Catholic...

They actually predate those, I think. And no, they are not at all similar to those 2, but still pretty good. Espionage, etc.

ACK DBCS! LOL In True Blabbermouth fashion pirated the P/A page away! Cool! You are a true blabbermouth! BTW what is your real name?

YO HO HO pirate: :cool1:

But don't think it was planned.... I am a very slow typist and am also watching Sat. Nt. Lv. I don't have the computer or attention skills to be able to plan my pirating

DBCS is all of us.... Doug (DH) Barbara (me) Chelsea (DD13) & Shelby (DD7)
HI!! :wave2:
