Hey....who remembers the "Amanda" pin? I took mine to the jeweler and they made it into a pendant. I just picked it up today...I love it! And it's a one-of-a-kind!

For you Crocs experts -- where can I find the Nile version. My dillards only has the Beach and the thong style one. I think I would like the Nile version better. Any suggestions.

The Nile seems to be hard to find at stores. I went to crocs.com and searched for stores in my area and called. I did find the niles on rei.com (not in the store) - and they are only $19.99! Of course you have to add shipping (5.99). They offer store pick up for free but it takes longer. There's also tax if there's a store in your state. So, Fran, I did what you said and ordered a pair - two actually (black and lime green). I hope I like them and that they fit. If not I can return them to the store

Thanks for the swimsuit links Stacey. I have a suit that coincidentally has a lime green stripe - haven't worn it for quite awhile. I guess I need to try some things on as well. Not looking forward to it!

I've got to get the luggage out and check it. One may be too big (we've never flown with it) and one is heavy before you even put anything in it. Good thing those crocs are light

As for the sister topic - I'm an only child. My parents were married August 31st and I was born March 7th They were married 5 years or so. It was the second marraige for both of them - no previous kids. I found out accidentally when I was in college. A few years later I was home visiting my dad for his birthday which was Sept 26th. My godmother was with us (Sept 27th) and her brother (Oct 7th) and another friend with a fall birthday. My dad had a few margaritas while we were out to dinner and said "if you count back from the coldest day in the winter you get to Sept. 26th".....on to say something like that's when everyone's born. I looked at him and asked "why was I born in March?" and he said "well, once in awhile everyone has too much to drink!" My godmother looked at him and said "Woody, sometimes you should just keep your mouth shut!" It was pretty amusing, but had I not already known I'm not sure what I would have done............... My mother was a dance instructor and my dad loved to dance. A mutual friend introduced them (hey you New Mexican's, did you know the Chez Renee in Santa Fe way back when???? - it was Renee). My father and I were much closer than my mother and I are.

I'm rambling again and I didn't even have any caffeine today I'm sure there's other things I wanted to reply to but I can't remember them!

I'm all alone tonight - off to find something in the freezer for dinner.

Well, i was dreading ballet tonight....just not ready to get back into the swing of it and also gear up for the recital (although we still have no idea IF there will BE a recital and/or when it will be but that's another issue)

then today in the mail i get the ballet newsletter. No ballet b/c of spring break!! YIPPIE!!!

so we went to see The Wild.

Cute movie. Predictable. Keifer Sutherland (24) was the voice for the main character so that was neat listening to him (although i kept picturing the lion as a CTU agent!)

Would have loved if the lady in the row behind us and down 6 seats would have stopped all her kids from kicking the row in front of them. Grrrrrrr. Just wasn't in the mood to confront tonight.

Now If I could just figure out how to file again, and pay for a new 'fridge and new carpet in the bedrooms..........

OK, fact is that I kept waking up all night long cause I didn't set the alarm clock (not to wake DH). So needless to say, I was a little tired today but I didn't lose the bet...NO WAY!!

I WON THE BET!!! DH had to pay me $40. I left the house at 7:20am. It would've been earlier but AJ was up already and I was chatting with him. But DH said what difference does it make, you can have all the money anyway. Isn't he cute? Smart, too. I had to wait for the post office to open at 9:00am. I was finished food shopping at 8:40. Not much was opened yet. I'm not used to that.

Did get a lot done today. Made Easter pie, carrot cake and an apple pie (all from scratch). Hubby cleaned and we're ready for tomorrow.
