iccy - but Sam and I thought we should renew our tetanus boosters last year but missed it - we really need to do so as part of our hurricane preparations. Grace is not my middle name and I missed stepping and putting my hands on nails many times last November.

So, with Mike's recommendation as well, we will do so before the cruise.

I wonder how we get Hep "A"???

I just found out about this group, and I realized that I have the three cabins next to Jilliebean. This is our first Disney cruise and we are so excited. DH and I took DS1(9) and DD(7) on a Carnival cruise last year, and we had a great time. This year, we are also taking DS2 (3). We are traveling with some good friends, and we can't wait! I am nervous b/c of age difference with 9,7, and 3. DH is afraid that DS2 will not want to go to club/lab, and maybe he won't behave during meals. I need to learn how to add the countdown so that I can see it!

gptmba - welcome to our nutty bunch of folks. Hi, my name is Maria and this will be our 1st Disney cruise. There's me, my DH(Augie), DS(AJ-10), and DS(Anthony-6) and we're from NY. Very excited to be going with this crazy bunch. It should be a blast. Jump right in, don't be worried we're friendly. In fact, some of us are TOO friendly . Like someone else posted, we are ordering T-shirts and bags on Mary's website. You only have until April 7th to order, but if you could do it earlier, that would be great.

All those new construction materials can be a killer. The treated wood, paint, carpet, all have to offgas for a while. It could be getting to you.

It is another gorgeous day here in NY. Temps supposed to get up in the high 60's again. Tomorrow even hotter. Windows are all open in the house, fresh air is flowing freely. Gotta love it.

I won't be cruel and tell you that I am DIS-ing by the pool (hey... wasn't that a Dire Straits song?) on my day off... just came back from the beach, and lunch with some guy who's a new on this board. (He's working today... Hi hun... I'm sure you're lurking somewhere... another boring day at work). It's getting cloudy though ... and I need some more sun before I have to wear the new blue gown Saturday night...

You think you're bad about shots ... I can't remember the last time I got any kind of tetanus shot!!!

Me either... all I know is that I haven't gotten one since I left Connecticut... that was 1986... think I'm due? NAHHH!!!!!

This is a DISNEY cruise. Full of kids and all about them. Well, okay, they do have some cool stuff for adults, too.....but the waitstaff is soooo used to kids, they can come up with all kinds of ways to settle a restless little one!

WHAT??? There are KIDS on this cruise? No way... I'm not goin'... nah... we'll just throw them overboard when they get out of hand... well... OK... maybe...

Lisa has Monkey PJ bottoms that she wears to the Gym with her Leos. Monkey clothing is VERY popular among the gymnastic crowd. There is a a lot of clothing featuring monkeys at the meets.

They're very popular with the ENTIRE middle-school-girl crowd, thanks to the marketing machine of Bobby Jack and all of its knock offs... Elizabeth is the Monkey Queen...

Gotta run... need to get a haircut before Elizabeth gets home... somehow I need to find a way (with about 80 safety pins) to make her dance costume fit before tonight's performance...

I've been wondering about the Hep A shots as well. A restaraunt we like to go to occasionally was shut down because one of their cooks had it! Fortunately it had been a few weeks since we were there. We haven't been back since.

Well May is not soon enought for me???? My DW tells me everytime we go to Disney world that I have OCD She is right of course. I have the whole disney World Web Site printed out so I can take it with me as I plan our Vacation at work when our system goes down for maintaince from 10-11. But I thank you for doing that I really appreaceate it I am really looking foward to seeing what is going on on that cruise.

I'm going to remember that answer for "How long are you going to be gone".....I hate it when someone asks me that. Most of the time I have no idea, and if I give them a time, and I'm later than that, they whine.

Hi, Gptmba! Welcome to the board!!! This is our third DCL cruise - you'll love it!!! Don't give a second thought to your 3YO's behavior at dinner. As others have pointed out, this IS a Disney cruise, and from our experience, the wait staff is amazing at working with both the little ones and their parents.

Also, our daughter was 3 1/2 on our first cruise. I couldn't tell you how she behaved at dinner because she was NEVER THERE!! The first night, she decided she loved the kids' club, and we had a hard time getting her out.

Welcome, and we'll be seeing you in 56 days!!!

There are days when I really am not crazy about living out here in the middle of nowhere.
Yesterday morning there was a bobcat on our back patio. Now I have to go out with the dog every time he has to "go"....and all the million times he doesn't.

But...today was nice. There was a young buck in the middle of the creek....he was so gorgeous!

My DH works for Sherwin Williams (although here in Georgia, it's often called Sherman Williams ). Although he probably won't approve of my description of his job, he talks to Architects about paint!

Oh! And this week he's out in Las Vegas "talking" to Architects about paint!!

And I work for the UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN GO BLUE!!! (sorry, I just had to do that for all the Ohio fans!!) I work for their Institute for Social Research as a Field Interviewer in Atlanta.
