I think he is a music producer, still at it. He's the partner of the guy that produces the show, also named Simon.

Now he's famous for being mean, isn't that grand?

He is "mean" but there are times when these people need to hear the TRUTH. He's just blunt about it. Randy is a decent judge, Paula just gushes over everyone (for the most part) so they don't have their feelings hurt. Simon says it like it is.

I don't know what Paula's problem was last night, but she didn't like most of the singers....maybe she was due for a fix or something and was cranky. That's unlike her.

I broke my own eBay rule tonight. I've been watching a cute black dress. I always wait to bid until the last minute so that I don't let anyone know that I'm interested....and to keep the bid price down. Well, stupid me...placed a bid and within minutes, someone outbid me. Now I WILL have to wait until the last minute and sneak in and nab it. But it ends late tomorrow night and I wasn't sure if I'd remember or even be awake.

As a buyer, I HATE when people bid something up that I'm watching with lots of time left in the auction.

As a seller, I LOVE when people bid something up that I'm selling with lots of time left in the auction.

For the little I buy off of ebay, I put in the maximum I'm willing to go on a bid and that's it, sit back and see what happens. The last one did have at least one snipe on it, as there were a bunch of last minute incremental bids, but none beat mine. Best way to defeat those programs.

And I find that when I do that, I wind up bidding more than I'm happy with. A bit of competitiveness kicks in. As a seller, I love it when that happens. As a buyer, not so much.

I do not have a snipe program, but will winn 99% of the auctions that I really WANT to win. Of course, I don't start bidding until there is about 1 minute 20 seconds left, so that 1:20 is VERY intense!! My heart races, my hands sweat, I get shakey. Fun fun stuff.

OHMinnie, you asked when we were going to WDW. I was thinking of either the week of Jan. 1, spring break (first week in April, I think) or week of Mem. week. I've never rented points before. Which property are your points? Any suggestions on which week would be best? I need to sit down with Bruce & decide which time of year would be best.

We own all of our points at VWL (the villas at Wilderness Lodge)
Personally, I'd avoid spring break week at all costs.
We've been down there in the "winter" ...December, January, and it can be cool, but the crowds are dead (unless you're there right over the holidays) And, "cool" is relative. When you're coming from Ohio, in winter, 55 is HOT!

As far as American Idol - will Paula never learn! Asking Ace about his scar. Ryan did ask about it and Ace said that the short story was he was playing basketball I think and fell onto a t-bar I think he said.


I didn't care for last night at all. I don't think I've heard any of the songs. Karen I agree with you about Katherine. I usually like her but I think she sounded terrible last night.

I adore Taylor but honestly don't think he'll win it all. Hope I'm wrong.

I think the only song I recognized was Lisa's...."Because of You." And that's really only b/c the kids are big Radio Disney fans.

God Morning All -

Message to Kevin - no more posting of shark pictures pleased.

I had a dream last night that we had to "tender" to the shore via an underwater shuttle and then we had to dive to reach the boat on the way back in--the dive took us past fish in underwater large aquariaums and on our way a group (pod, covy, gaggle?) of tiger sharks swam right through all - no blood, all were ok, they just swan throuhg minidng their business.

I think that Disney will have a more tradtional tender - yes?

Good morning everyone,

It's a beautiful day here in NY. Another one, I should say. This week has been warm and supposed to get warmer. Friday should get up to 64 degrees. See, the temps go from 50's and then all of a sudden - BAM 70's (I feel like Emeril).

I have my little guy home today with STREP throat. We went to the Dr.'s last night and it was positive. A 3rd day stuck inside at home. I'm starting to get a little cabin fever.

Anyway, guess I should get back to my schedule....housework, paperwork and organization.
