Well -- I am in between the kitchen and computer. Helping 0Ashley color eggs. Unfortunately, this is something that Dad always likes doing and I don't and he is working tonight. Oh, it is okay, but I just hate messing up my clean kitchen. Doesn't that sound awfully selfish of me. Now that the kids are older, it is just not as much fun as when they were little.

We never grew up - no kids and we still color eggs.....

Happy Monday!

We have all the clothes picked out for the cruise and they are now on the dining room table or hanging on the clothes rack. Have a few things that need to be sent to the dry clearner and then we'll be good. Still haven't done our door signs so I'll work on that this week.

Can you come show me how one works........pleeeeezzzzeee!!!

I'd love to. I actually LOVE to wash windows now! We have some sort of glass guard on our "new" windows that *supposedly* repels the dirt (doesn't work.) BUt because of this glass guard, we cannot use windex on our windows (it smears the glass guard) so we can only use water. Did you ever try to get a window clean with water?

We have a sunroom with windows all around it and FINALLY we have clean, streak free windows!

"Adult movie!" That was a good one.

We watched Flightplan last week. You'll have to tell us what you think. Enjoy!

Good movie. Some slow parts....like when the therapist was trying to talk to the mom. Mike and I were both dog tired and decided if it didn't get more interesting soon, we were turning it off and going to bed. :) But it did. Amazing how I flipped flopped between "she's crazy," "she's tellng the truth," "she's crazy," "she's telling the truth." :)

I wish DCL would have Bananas Foster. We had it prepared at our table on the Norwegian cruise, it was to die for! We also had chocolate fondue that night....yummm.......and then we rolled back to our room! :rotfl:

I LOVE bananas foster. In fact, that's the only way you can talk me into going to Rainforest Cafe......bribe me with the bananas foster (and that's probably not even a GOOD bananas foster.) The way I look at it is this....it's got a piece of fruit in it.....it MUST be healthy for you!! :)

cool!! I was doing the Virgil thing and when I finally caught up I found out I had a U TOP!!!!! Shared with Stacey, Virgil and BANANAS FOSTER!! Glad my bananas don't do this though:

I still need to watch the end of Flightplan. I watched most of it on the plane home from my parents'....just didn't have time to see it all.

Yikes. I don't think I'd like seeing THAT on the movie listings for an airline! LOL!

Wow I am impressed. I haven't done near that much.

Never compare your packing to Stacey's. 10 days before the cruise sets sail, she'll announce that she's COMPLETELY done packing, cleaning, preparing, etc etc. That's just Stacey! Somehow, everyone else gets everything done at least by cruise time!!

I use Stacey's announcements of her packing progress as reminders. See, she said "I made our thank you cards" and I made a mental note "ohiominnie, in 5 weeks, make your thank you cards." :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

LYMI, Stacey!!!!!!

No way you can mess them up....just use plain paper for a "practice" print, before you print with the magnet paper.

Well, you CAN mess them up. DON'T buy the cheap brand of magnetic paper. It won't feed through the printer. We did that for the 10 day and messed up about 6 of them before we realized the cheap paper was.....well, CHEAP. One trip to Wal*mart for Avery brand and all the rest of the signs printed out without problems. We do not do a test run on blank paper. Again, I'm too cheap....don't want to use the ink!!! :)

How do you DO that? Packing for me usually takes place two days before we leave, mostly because we NEED those clothes before then. We dress like schlubs for those last few days, because everything decent is in the suitcases. No way I could pack this early. Actually, I haven't even finished Erin's spring/summer shopping yet (she's still at the age where she outgrows her clothes every season), so she's way lacking in the warm-weather wear department.

I'm jealous...

Stace - how many door signs do you have? I have only made 1 so far. It takes time and it's something that I don't have right now. Guess I better get a move-on, huh?

For the 10 day we had signs for the general cruise. We switched those out for pirates night. Then had a third for some other night (can't remember what it was) :)

I did that flip-flop too. Thought it was entertaining, but had to keep reminding myself that it was a movie and far too far-fetched to actually happen. (Like all those stars would REALLY align perfectly for them to pull it off!) But for the most part, enjoyable. Glad you liked it!!!

First day back to school in 4 hours. Yaaahhooo!!! I think I'm going to go out and give that bus driver a big kiss. Please take them away!!!

Think how excited you'd be to put them back on the bus if they'd have had 4 DAYS off!!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Amanda!?!?!?!??!

You mentioned something about possibly telling your kids about this cruise this past weekend.....

WELL????? Did you tell them?

How did they react??????

Well Mark wears a uniform to work so having his clothes put aside is no problem. As for me - I'll be a little short on work clothes a couple of weeks but I'm still wearing a lot of the darker colors of Winter.

We are planning on packing light so I picked things we could mix and match with. For example I have a long black skirt I'm wearing for both formal and semi-formal night just with different tops. I'm brining 2 pairs of tan pants for me and 2 for Mark and we'll have different tops with them as well.

Then we have 3 or so pairs of shorts each and lots of different t-shirts. Warning - we are geeks that like to have matching t-shirts :) We plan on wearing our 10 day shirts on Friday when we head down and meet up at JB's (at least we'll be easy to spot). We also have to consider the two days after the cruise when we'll be at WDW.

:rotfl: Yeah, but do you *sound* like your Mother when you say it?!! Wait till you say something and you swear you heard your mother's voice - that's R-E-A-L-L-Y freaky!!! :lmao:

It sure is!! Both DH and myself say and sound like our respective parents. What's worse - I am shaped like my mother. So not only do I sound like her sometimes, my body looks like her. Not fair or funny....

Please post :goodvibes

OK, very simple..

You need a Spring Form Pan, purchase some regular brownie mix and follow directions on box and cook in spring form pan (I will sometime add Chocolate chips to the mix prior to cooking) once the brownies have cooled, take 1 Can of WHole Berry Cranberry Sauce and spread over top of brownies still in pan, take 1 container of Cool whip and 1/4 cup of Cranberry Juice and mix together then spread on top of the Cranberry Sauce, I will sprinkle Chocolate chips on top. Place in refridge for about 1 hour, when ready to serve open the spring form pan and serve on the bottom piece, and I slice it like a pie and serve in wedges....

Real simple...enjoy

Good morning all. I noticed something and I guess Amanda is the one that can fix it. The title of our thread needs to be changed - 6 weeks instead of 7 now. Closer and closer.

Sounds like everyone had a good weekend. Now it's back to reality and work and all that fun stuff. I have laundry calling my name. Yck!! Not too fond of the laundry. Monday, Monday....
