Why? It's got another 4 days left on it before it's considered "out too long." :lmao: At least in my house.

I can only do laundry on the weekends....so I know it's bad when I have to put away the folded clothes in order to collect the dirty clothes!!! I TRY not to let that happen too often but getting the clothes put away is my LEAST favorite job of laundry!

OM - I am the same way. I will fold and even iron them but someone, PLEASE, someone put them away. And being the control freak that I am, yeah can you believe that?, I have to put them away otherwise they will mess up my neat drawers. I'm very anal when it comes to folding and putting away clothes. My neighbors laugh at me. I guess I get it from my mom. She used to iron my ruffled underwear when I was little, very little. I guess the apple didn't fall too far.

No sister for me, either, just one brother that's a complete jerk. I was rather close to his wife, just like a sister, but they divorced a couple of years ago (after 25 years), and I don't see her much anymore. Can I join the club?:confused3

Sandi, of course you can join us. The more the merrier. What's the expression - Misery loves company. See ya in the hot tub. heehee

Wow - a U-TOP from burst posting with the "sisters" club....

We can start a club - you, me Amanda - no sisters....the "siterless club"....."the sisters club".....sounds like a book title....now who would play us in the Movie version which would go on to win Acadamy awards... :teeth:

Count me in on the no sisters, have 2 brothers - 1 older, 1 younger!

Well - I'm going to have to leave all you people for now. Duty (no, not that duty) calls and I have to get back to cleaning and preparing for Easter "Saturday". I hate that, cause that cuts off a day of preparing for me. And then Easter is just not the same without all the hoopla.

TTFN

Maybe that's a good thing???

While we're on the subject....got this joke via email:

A man, his wife, and mother-in-law went on vacation to
Jerusalem.
While they were there the mother-in-law passed away. The
undertaker told
them,

"You can have her shipped home for $5,000, or you can bury her
here
in the Holy Land for $150.

The man thought about it and told him he would just have her
shipped
home.

The undertaker asked, "Why would you spend $5,000 to ship your
mother-in-law home, when it would be wonderful to be buried here
and
you would spend only $150.

The man replied, "Long ago a man died here, was buried here, and
three days later he rose from the dead.

I just can't take that chance .

Morning Stacey - time for me to clean the house for Easter before wrok....I hate house cleaning, which is why it never gets finished....My version - take junk out of room 1 - move junk to room 2 -- clean room 1. Take junk out of room 2 - move to room 3.....get the picture......it's not the cleaning, it is the "stuff" ...... although I did finally unpack the boxes I tossed the junk in for the hurricanes/.....I feel it is time for an Easter Box - toss all junk into it....sort it later.....yeah, that's the ticket.

OMG, my husband will never believe that there is another person who cleans house the way I do. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: He gets so aggravated with me. I tell him that if he doesn't like if, then he can do it! But I had better improve. My MIL is moving in w/us for awhile at the end of the month and she was a Navy wife, and still keeps her house white glove perfect. YIKES! She is in for a rude awakening in mi casa. 3 kids, a dog, and 2 working parents = messy (not dirty) house

Ohiominnie,

you made me spit my rootbeer! I was taking a drink as I was reading the punchline of your joke! :rotfl2: :lmao:

It's my "Friday" too. In one of my classes today, we are having a "cultural observance", which just means we are having a FIESTA! :cool1:

I was joking with my sister that that would be the one reason why husband would ever divorce me. I too have the messy (not dirty) house.

Ok ... I'm a skinny minnie but I too have problems finding a swimsuit that looks decent on me. I've bought 5 and don't think any look good on me!!! Let's just say ... I may be a skinny minnie but am not well-endowed up top ... so all of these halter-style suits that are so popular this year look HORRIBLE on me. I don't think anyone has a perfect body except models.

And they probably paid big bucks for those "perfect figures"!

Yes, will do. What I'm REALLY afraid of is that she'll start screaming that she pee-peed in her panties when in fact it's only one little, tiny drop. I'm afraid that counselors will think she's not potty trained. She MUST change her panties when she does that. That's why I can't figure out for the life of me why she had 2 full-fledged accidents over the weekend.

If you figure out the answer to this one, you could write a book and make a fortune. Parents everywhere would be paying to find this out. You're definitely not alone. All three of mine went through this at one time or another.

I am finally back from Philadelphia... great trip- good meetings, good food, good fun, but tiring, as usual. Trying to catch up on here now, doing the "Virgil thing"... lets see how long it takes to get through what I missed...

- laptops... I've got a Dell with an extended battery- lasts a good 6 hours (less if you're playing a DVD)

- pants at dinner... If I can get Christopher to wear pants for dinner on informal nights, I will... if not, I'm choosing my battles, and wardrobe isn't one of them.

- Sox on Crocs... sounds like a Dr. Seuss book

-Happy Birthday, Alicia! (Sorry... its a little too late, now)

-I see that my DH has been picking on my lack of "morning personality"... DD is even worse! Sounds like I need to invest in new Disney jammies before the cruise...

- Stacey... thanks for your "Sunrise, Sunset" serenade... that's what I walked down the aisle to with my dad...

No Friday off for me... and only a 1-day weekend... I've got a big event on Saturday for Combat Veterans Recognition Day @ Gemini Springs... we've got a Clydesdale coming, and lots of cool stuff planned, including a phone call from the White House. Should be between 5-10,000 people there. As much as we need rain, it had better not be on Saturday!!

Stacey - what cruise line did you cruise for the Vegas one? My brother has the same offer and was curious to see which line you cruised? His is from the Hilton though.

Ours was with the Mirage, and it was on Princess' Caribbean Princess...their newest, biggest.
I'd had an offer from NY NY also, that I turned down. They were sailing on Royal Caribbean.
The Mirage has another one coming up, but I can't go, it's at the same time as the 11 night cruise. Not sure what cruise line they're going on this time.

All I can say is that no matter what cruise line they take you on, they do a great job of making sure everyone is happy. They gave us Princess' Elite (top of the line, every perk you can imagine) status. It would be hard to go back on Princess now, and be a plain old newbie!

Now that I caught up doing Virgil's thing....gotta go. I don't know that I'll manage to stay awake all day, but I'm going to give it the old college try. Well....maybe not. Won't admit to what we did in college to stay awake! :guilty:

OH.....no sisters here, either. Just the two older brothers. And I'll be the first one in the hot tub.
I did really like the suggestion of "Look! Over there...flying fish!". :rotfl:

I love that song, makes me cry every time I hear it. Megan wanted it at her wedding, too...but then she did a Disney wedding, and they played Disney music instead. Plus a few traditional.
Anyway....maybe some nice person will post the entire song on Karaoke Friday. HINT HINT

WOW! That's a huge range. Somewhere between 5 and 10,000 people? Do you plan for 10,000 and only FIVE people show up? Or do you plan for FIVE and TEN THOUSAND show up?

Cool, a U TOP with another Karen (and my smart alek attitude)

Didn't you just e-mail me and say we're having tacos for dinner? That means we're actually having dinner TOGETHER!!!!! (BTW... did you buy more sour cream seeing as the bottomless-pit-DD ate it all???)
