We are there the first 2 weeks of September, we will be on Diamond Princess.
Cruisecritc has tons of info on Alaska
It looks great and I am excited just reading all the stuff and spending the 2 weeks with friends etc.

Thanks for the tip. September will be wonderful. But, we cannot leave the house, the pets, the work, the Mother during the height of hurricane season, we need to be here to prepare, to wait in long lines, to have no air, to see our house and landscaping destroyed. Oh well....

Thank you! I'm looking forward to it. Not that I questioned my decision to leave, but it was solidified this morning when my soon-to-be ex-VP told me that in his opinion work/life balance goes both ways, and obviously I was leaning more towards LIFE. Uh, yeah. What... EVER!

Hopefully they'll parole me on Friday. You'll all hear me dancing with joy when that happens.

Had a job interview once where the VP was actually proud he was missing his son's Winter Play to meet with me - ok, that was NOT impressive, and I don't even have kids. He sure called that one wrong, and you sure called it Right....

So this evening DS came to ask me if he could go to our neighbor and I said okay, then DD came to ask and she went, she came home saying they were not there and where was Adam.
He went to friends down in the cul-de-sac and about 1/2 hour later I sent her to go get him and she went out the door and a couple of minutes later came in saying he had fallen in the river!!
I ran out the garage and there was DH with the friends dad from down the road, they were playing by the river - the Chatahoochee is far down from there house and Adam slipped and fell in. Luckily he was not hurt and they managed to get him out he was just soaked from head to toe and freezing!!
He is so lucky there was a parent there as he knows not to go to the river without a parent or I would kill him!!!!

Hey all. Not much going on here. I had to take off early this afternoon and pick up Ashley at school. I had a splitting headache, so I came home and took a nap. Feel better, just still light headed. So glad that I didn't have to go do lots of kid running around today.

OMG... I can't believe that some people are PROUD of stuff like that.

I'm glad you guys are all getting a kick out of the situation. I've been laughing about it for a while. Most people can't believe it. But whatever... I'm almost done there!

And about the parole... Well, it sure FEELS like I'm incarcerated when I'm there, so I bet I'll feel free as a bird when they release me!

Oy... I feel your pain. Jim just did ours today (it took this long to find all the real estate paperwork from our house selling/buying last summer). At least it was better than previous years. If I hadn't been working, we would have actually gotten a rebate! I'm trying to convince Jim that that's a good reason for me NOT to work, but he's not buying it.
