Juletime said:Next week is Dad's 70th birthday. We have a surprise party planned for him and it should be alot of fun (I'm bringing a case of Banfi!). That is when we will tell him and Mom about their birthday/anniversary/christmas present. We booked a room for them with us on the Holiday Cruise in December. It would be wonderful for them to be with us. My only question is if they will actually go, as it means being away from the rest of the family during Christmas.
I will let you know next week.
My parents came with us on the 10 day Christmas cruise in 2004. That was one of my fears....that they would feel like they were "playing favorites" by being with me and not the rest of the family. We were in St. Thomas Christmas day and I think they did find a phone and quickly called the siblings (who were all off enjoying Christmas with their other families and enjoying not having to split their time!) Then the family celebrated Christmas all together after everyone got home.
I've got to go back and look at the card that came with the chocolate....I think the back of it had the disappearing ink invitation to the Banfi...I mean to the PARTY.
