Not me - Did not make it back to 'puter in time to pirate:

Have a good day all.

I need to take the car in - it seems the air worked fine befre they replaced the strut and now no air....well, no air when it is hot, the air works fine in the morning and evening, but not when it is over 80....I can see it now, I drive the car in, complain, they test, the air works, I drive it out at lunch and it is hot and the air does not work,
oh trials,

oh tribulations,

oh woe is me......

and lucky to have such silly issues to complain about.

Stay safe in TExas, just saw the NEWS, fires look bad...

OMG! Nick is growing up :sad2: . This is from his lacrosse coach:

We would like to start practice this Wednesday. That means full equipment (cup and mouthguard included).

I guess when I wake up tomorrow he will be shaving and dating.

I hope you enjoy your trip to the store to pick up all the supplies he needs.

I'm sure it will be an interesting discussion. Small, Medium, or Large?

I'm talking about the mouthguard. :rotfl: If Nick is a ''true" man, he will say Large. We all do! :lmao:

This is just a carry over from the high school conversation that was held here last night.

I hope his Dad takes him, not sure I could be adult enough not to chuckle! About the mouthguard, of course.

Good morning all! My, y'all were chatting last night while I was watching "24" and getting some shut eye.

Exciting morning for us ... Emily has her 1st loose tooth! At first she was a little freaked out about it but think she is getting a little more excited.

Reading this morning was like taking a bunch of high schoolers to school. Very mature conversation last night, like NOT!

And of course we ALL know Sir Scuba is WAY above any of that immaturity!!! :lmao: :lmao: :stir:

Awwww, so sweet! Enjoy these days - they'll fly by. Tori just yesterday lost her "last" baby tooth :sad1: (of course, it does make things easier now that she's got braces on!!!)

What we had Tori do early on was write a note to the tooth fairy. Those (dated) notes are now cherished mementos :cloud9:

Dry cleaners in Fla. are strictly regulated and most cleaned up their act voluntarily and now have in place conrols to prevent the escape of the chemicals to the groundwater. The end result is probably a lot more environmentally friendly than the fertilizer many apply to their own lawns...(end of policital comment)

You viewed that as a political comment somehow? Wasn't meant as one, just information. I was a field service tech for the industry for over 10 years, and have seen it all. And yes they have good solid rules for them up here too. But people still fudge them and try to get away with things. Here's a good example.

I get a service call for a machine that's not drying the clothes right. Arrive there to discover they have a machine they're still operating that has been long outlawed. I inform them that I won't be repairing it, and why, as the place I work for could also be liable for fines, and sure they're not happy but accept it. About a week later in the shop, I overhear that this same customer is getting delivered a new laundry dryer. I immediately stop the delivery and yep, find out this place was going to use it to dry clothes cleaned in the machine I wouldn't fix last week. As in, it would be blowing all the vaporized solvent from the clothes out into the air! Hazmat scene for sure if that would have happened.

I'm all for dry cleaners being responsible to the environment. All I was saying is the ones that are really overpromoting the 'greener' stuff saying they don't use any hazardous chemicals are using some of these new, experimental processes, which some do use water (as OhioKaren said, so much for 'dry') and as such are experimenting on your clothes. And designer items will take damage from these processes as a lot are zero tolerant of water.

If you really want the long boring review of all the current cleaning processes, I could go there but don't want to bore the heck out of eveyone, probably doing that already.

The short answer is the ones that are truly environmentally safe cleaning processes are with co2 or petroleum. Perc is a risk if misused. However, the modern cleaning machines are of a type now that the risk of any kind of environmental impact is very much zero with any solvent if the machine is operated and maintained correctly.

Hey, I survived 21.53 seconds!!! I surprised myself. That is very cool stuff.

WOW. Great job!! I just went back to try it (b/c I'm putting off my blood draw) and got to 23.57! Seemed like those blue blocks got faster and faster. Maybe it was just my imagination. The hard part is my eyes dry out b/c I can't blink. If I blink, I hit something. :)

Ok, really, off to get ready for the day. Blech.

OM - You're good. I'm not even going to post MY avg. error. I better get back to school. I'm learning geography from my 4th grader. Actually, I'll have him do this test later when they get home from school. Good one. Thanks for making me dumber than I already am....my DH does that when we watch Jeopardy.

Do your kids know about the cruise yet? I want to get them writing with Jake (5th) and Katie (3rd). Jake's written Courtney a few times and seems to be interested in it. Look forward to hearing from you and the kids.

Mike is also in 5th - and Maggie's in 3rd - They'd love to start meeting kids - if they would like to write them, too...

Gotta love Spring break - grandparents are coming tonight, the kids are busy vacuuming, sweeping, and dusting, and I'm DISing! :lmao:

Slave labor is wonderful!
