Thanks, while I was on the Banfi web site and found several stores near me that sell it. Virgil swoops in the song answer. Oh bother, I knew that one.

Ding Ding Ding...another winner! It's okay, we make up our own rules, so I say you win too!

There's a GREAT T.O.P.......me, Jeri, Banfi and winning!!!

I need some suggestions from all you creative types out there. At the end of April, we are going to a small town art auction (The Big Event). It benefits the Bosque County Conservatory (www.bosqueconservatory.com) Normally they have it at the Conservatory but this year it is under renovation so they will have it under a hugh tent. The theme is "Under the Hard Hat" with dress as "Construction Chic".

So what are some ideas for "Construction Chic"?

:cheer2: :woohoo: Thanks for that! My mom was a big Doris Day fan so I guess I inherited it a bit :cloud9:

OOPs, DH just got back from his cycle trip around the lake and I havent done my WATP video. Busted! Well I'll go take care of that real quick and be back for more fun here later. :yay: :yay:

Ok so I'm a little out of it today. I see Stacey asking the question who sang the song. So I'm thinking she's talking about Hip to be Square. Then Virgil answers Doris Day. I'm trying to picture Doris Day singing Hip to be Square. :lmao:

BTW - Huey Lewis and the News sang Hip to be Square.

Hey Kevin..... (I know I said I was leaving) This morning, the mountains behind us are really amazing with the snow on them.....but I can't get a shot of them. Too much white, I think. I wish I could get the same image of them that we can see. Ideas?
Sure, a couple. The problem with snow is that it's very bright. It can fool the camera when the picture is taken in Program mode. Try changing it to Aperture mode and dialing up the aperture setting to about f/11. That will give you a pretty good DOF (depth of field). Remember that snow is a somewhat different kind of subject than most of the things you typically photograph. It is extremely reflective, and it can confuse your camera's exposure sensor. The bottom line is that in the presence of a lot of snow, your camera will probably try to underexpose the photograph.

There are a couple of ways around this common problem. The easiest solution is to set your camera to its snow or beach scene mode, if it has one. This preprogrammed exposure setting takes bright, highly reflective subject matter like sand and snow into account and overexposes the picture automatically.

Alternately, you can overexpose the picture yourself using the camera's exposure compensation dial. Set the control to about +1, which will overexpose the scene by one stop, admitting twice as much light into the photo.

The other problem is the lens. Our eyes see in wide ange and the camera does not using a standard lens. I believe your camera has a wide ange view of 36mm which isn't bad, just not like our eyes. Does your camera offer any panoramic settings?

I've been total amazed at the DSLR cameras with great lenses. It's awesome the pictures you can get. Of course, it's the same thing as the TEVO, more stuff every 20min and the budget can only take so much.

I must be out of it today too! I knew the answer, but thought it was a *trick* question!! :lmao:

Oh, how I LOVED Huey!! He's touring again. :woohoo:

Thanks, Kevin....makes sense, and I'll try it and let you know. Yes, I can use the panoramic mode, too. Going to go try a few.

I'm sorry, my fault. I guess it was confusing. And I thought I'd heard Hip to be Square. The only thing my mind was coming up with was something from Sesame Street!

Just checking to see if this font is "readable" with this color. I miss my pink, but at least my eyes don't hurt so much.

Did you read your own posts alot? I post and then when I catch up I don't actually READ my own posts....seeing as I know what I had said! :) :lmao:
