Hey,
I am alittle sad tonight. My husbands boss said now it might just be better if stay in Dallas instead of moving to Altanta :(
I like it here, don't get me wrong, but if we lived in Atlanta we would live closer to my family and WDW ;)

Sorry to hear that, we were looking forward to having you here. I'm sure things will work out.

I am here what type of rest is Bridgetown?

It has jamaican kind of food, jerk seasoniong etc, just felt like something different, mostlw served with plaintains etc.

Amanda,

Bridgetown is Caribbean!! Julia, you must be getting ready for a cruise, eh?!! :goodvibes

Yip and we mostly discussed cruising as our friends who live diagnally to us and were neighbours in our last house just got back from a 4 night RCCL and were very disapointed with the food and service.

Yep, Its because of reorg. in the company so, his boss is now saying that due to the reorg, it might be better we stay here, but that maybe they can work something out?? Those darn company reorgs! :headache:

My company seems to be constantly reorganizing and our dept just did, I was one of the few moved and still deciding if it is a good move or not, I will get to do some traveling for this project, mostly to Chicago with my first trip around the middle of March.

Yes I know all about the darn comp reorgs...we are awaiting anouncement of surplus on the 15th.....we know it is coming we just just dontknow how many and who....kinda stinks since our fianl payment is due on the 10th...one reason I have been holding off telling the kids about this cruise...it will really stink if I send final payment to CC on 10th only to be told layoff on 15th ya know...

Hopefully that won't happen and at least the cruise will be paid for - hence best to just go and enjoy it either way!!

pixiedust: pixiedust: and :grouphug: for you

The traveling was what I enjoyed most about my last job. My career was winding down so I could pretty much pick the location and length of stay.

I'll never forget the date we saw it..... September 10, 2001. We all remember what happened the next morning

I haven't heard any dates for Madonna - will have to find out

No MED cruise for us. I'll be interested in hearing the pricing though

Well, now I really do have to run. Nite!!

On the night of September 10th DH and I were flying back from Biloxi MS, we were at the world trade centre in the July, the line to go up to the observation tower was over 3 hours long so we decided to wait for our next trip, we had been before but the kids had never, we learnt not to put off some stuff for next time!!

Good morning Cruisers!

We sail in 13 weeks!

party: Woo Hoo - another week closer to cruising! party:

I have been over the shore excursions many times. The only one I will book in advance is on CC with the stingrays. Nick and Liz can go, Jeanne and I will enjoy the view. In Costa Maya and Coz (or wherever) we will see what is there. Nick loves the beach so he won't be hard to please. Sue

We are 400 miles to Orlando...Once I hit Orlando I stop couting because in my eyes I am there! LOL On a really good trip with only 1 stop for gas I can get there in about 6 hours...on a normal trip with all the hooligans with me and potty breaks it is a little over 7 hours...It takes me just as long to get to I-75 S in Valdosta as it does to get from Valdosta to Orlando! LOL Yes we would move from GA Our ultimate goal s to get to FLA....hopefully Melborne or Cocoa Beach......

My DH goal was to move to FL, he really likes Boca and hence he is in ATL hoping to afford it one day but a change of plan since we visited Australia last year he is now hoping to convince me to move to Brisbane, I said I would go if the kids were happy to go and if I could go with big $$$$$ so I would not have to work or want for anything - I sure know how to rain on his parade!!!! Plus we would have to get all our cruising done as it is really expensive to cruise there, plus, plus, plus!!!

A few families are doing the ruins with David and Ivan. They run a local tour...here's the website: www.chacchobenruins.com. Our family is doing an 8:30 tour for 1/2 day. They have great reviews if you'd like to look them up on the main boards.

Thanks for the link, Susan. I'll take a look.

To be followed by the "Princesses in Training"(Pre-teen) Parade!!!

Yes, I am up early. We are off to Tampa this morning for Lisa Gymnastics Meet and Jim is running a 5k in Tampa as well. So, I am having breakfast while I read before we start our early day.

Good luck for Lisa and Jim and you for having such an early morning and long drive!!

Sue

I'm kind of looking forward to it too, I have been up there to our office before and done some travel before but nothing regular. It will be good to have some time to read and relax in the evenings. The kids are getting older and DH helps with carting them around etc so they probably won't even miss me!!

I am not booking anything, we are just going to hang out at the beach and snorkle at CC, we have been to CM a couple of times before and hopefully hope not to get off in Coz.

Looks like we're going home in the nick of time...the weather is turning cold again. Guess I'll take my nice weather back to AZ.
I do kind of like it here, though....I've been "carded" twice. Was told they have to ask everyone who appears to be under age 30. No kidding! And some lady asked Megan last night if I was her sister. Gotta love that!
Tell Megan THAT's why you brought her! :hyper:

Oh I forgot, My friends cruise went to Coz, they tendered in and she said it was really bad, she also said the people were really haggling to sell stuff and it was very unpleasant. I never asked if they went to the beach or anything but will.

I am looking forward to the beach time! Park Jeanne under an umbrella with an umbrella drink ;) then Liz, Nick and I will get in the water. Story about Liz, she had never been in the warm, gentle 'caribbean' ocean til Bermuda. Then when we were in GC last month she walked right in. Can't get her out now! I took pix so her DH would believe me.

How long of drive is it for you to go to WDW? I am thinking around 8 hours if I recall correctly? :confused3
Would you all ever move from GA if you needed too?
Oh man here I go again thinking about the move, I need to slap myself

In Atlanta, depends where you live as to how long a drive. With no traffic problems it would be about 8 hours. The tricky part is for those of us who have to drive THROUGH Atlanta

We would have no problem leaving GA, but would depend "where" we were moving TO!!!! My DH is from northeastern SD (yes, South Dakota!!!) and I can honestly tell you that's one place I've crossed off my list!!!!
