Well -- didn't watch any of the race today. Made a late afternoon trip to Kohl's. Great sales. Got hubby a very nice pair of dress slacks, shorts, greg normal polo and a short sleeve island type shirt for under $40. Couldn't believe it. Original cost would have been about $180.00 He has to go on a business trip to Atlanta first of March and I told him he could use them for that, but they are mainly for the cruise.

I was just looking at my calendar and I will be in Orlando at WDW in 39 days. Hard to believe I will be there without my family. I will have to commute from WDW to the Peabody, but that shouldn't be too bad. I would rather be at WDW on my free time than stuck over on Idrive. I got an AP rate of $110 at Port Orleans. That was $100 less a night than the Peabody.

I can't believe our kids don't get off for President's Day. Hubby is the only one off tomorrow (government employee) Both the kids and I have to go to school/work. Do most other school districts observe President's Day??

Our spring break is early this year too - March 13-17. Unfortunately, This is the year that I have to work, so no plans for us.

kids are in school tomorrow and with state testing on Tuesday, don't mind that they are in school tomorrow, and our spring break is also the 13th - 17th. Gee, we must live in Texas, too....

No travel plans for spring break - John'll have school on one of the weekends. My parents are coming down from Chicago for 5 days during spring break.

Tori would have had tomorrow off, but Georgia had a "2 day fuel emergency" after the hurricanes. Gov'na Purdue (that's the southern pronounciation!) had Georgia public schools close for 2 days - saved millions of gallons of diesel fuel by not running school buses; but, those 2 days had to be made up so no holiday for us tomorrow!

Gosh, that does seem really early for Spring Break. Our's is 1st week in April.

Which Port Orleans are you going to? I've stayed at both solo. You'll enjoy either!

I will be at Riverside. There were no regular rooms in the French Quarter, I would have had to pay extra for a King room. We have stayed in both. We stayed in Bayou section, but it has been years and we stayed in French Quarter once. I would like to stay in the Mansion area since that is the only one I haven't stayed in.

Always got to add in an extra hour or two with live events, dunno if a dvr can do that or not, dont have one yet. I should also toss in TS stuck his foot cleanly in his mouth postrace with a comment of "He started it, but I ended it" in reference to that bizarre bumping around he did with the 17, forcing him thru the grass.

I enjoyed the Mansion -- I had a parking lot view, but the price was right!!! I think the grounds at Riverside are so beautiful. Did you put "mansions" in your request?

You caught that, too. Open mouth, insert foot. Na Na Na Na Poo Poo...he started it. Typical of the little cry baby that he is. And BTW, he should've been penalized a lot more than just put at the end of the line. I was hoping HE would get knocked into the wall. Maybe next week. I can dream, can't I? Can you tell I'm not too fond of Mr. Home Depot?

This is the first time I have had President's Day off. The kids and I are all home. Sharon goes to work....someone has to make money today!

Lisa started yelling at Dale, Jr. He was Mr. Stonewoods. She thought he was "stupid" for trying to go outside. Those were some pretty strong words for her.

Guess she felt pretty strongly that she wanted Stonewoods.

Jim/Karen - any word on injuries in the stands at the race. On the one wreck it looked like a piece of the car (the spoiler) went over the catch fence and into the stands. Hopefully no one was hurt too bad.

Mark and I both work today though woke up late because I forgot to turn the alarm back on last night.

I'm working today, too. You're right... SOMEBODY has to make money today! Ray is working, obviously 'post-race' breakdown, but probably not for very long.

We're headed to Stonewood's for dinner tonight... our friends from Boston are still with us til tomorrow. If you were a nice Daddy, you'd take Lisa there... (Oh wait... we ARE leaving the kids home tonight... guess we aren't nice either)

I forgot to ask Ray about it when he got home, but if there had been injuries, I'm sure he would have told me... the only injury I heard about was his... he spent some time in the 'infield care center' after turning his thumb into a science dissection project...
