I just had an e-mail from DCL. They love me. Nah....it was an online survey about cell phones, PDA's, in-room video games, in-room internet, and various access to things like activities, shopping, checking your statement..on your room television.

I hope this means that they are thinking of some inhancements!

I did say "No" to adult movies in the rooms.

Just kidding...wanted to see if anyone was paying attention!! :hmghost:

The little iRoast. It does work pretty well. I have it programmed to a roasting profile that suits.

Big boys and their toys.....ha. And they think we women are bad.

We don't think so........ We KNOW SO!! :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Instead of checking "yes" for the in-room shopping onboard, maybe I should have suggested "in-room roasting". :coffee: ::yes::

T.O.P. !!

Gotta go, the guys are waiting for their paychecks. Long story, but I had to wait a while to go.

I know Mary set up a WISH thread for the SSMC06 ppl. And I saw there was a thread for the Double Scoop cruise (the november one)

Maybe we should set up a May Double Scoop thread as a place we can all go and support each other's efforts.

????

I saw that November thread. It just says "Double Scoop" so I was going to try butting in. But yeah, start a thread, I'm in!

Okay.....(she says reluctantly...) but we'll really have to go into overdrive!

Now I really am out of here. See you all after dinner...if I survive the cheerleaders this afternoon. :cheer2:

Mr. Scuba...

The guy that nearly scammed us out of $$$$ on ebay for Michigan tickets was caught right around the corner from you.....

Shh...it almost worked. We figured OSU people would be pretty easy to scam. Guess I need to hide for a while longer. :smokin:

Ain't NO WAY I'm telling anyone how much I really weigh! That would leave me wide open to the blackmailers on this thread.

Oh wait....Diana says I'M the blackmailer....never mind.....

Just post it in the middle of the night. I'm sure no one will find it with as many posts as there are and I won't tell anyone.

I'm thinking maybe we can bribe the Palo chef with some fresh roast...... :woohoo:

It might not be the taste, it might be the atmosphere. On the Cruise, Mickey does all the work, esp. for room service.

At home, well, it never tastes as good when you have to get up, make it, wait, pour it, and then slip back into bed to sip it.....

Or perhaps some of us are coffee snobs...(insert pouty smilie here)

I DO have room service at home - that's part of the coffee snob in me - by the time my alarm goes off in the a.m. - my freshly ground mocha made with beans which were roasted the night before is waiting beside...I'm spoiled, I know!

doth my eyes deceive me?

It's been over 7 months, but MickeyMo'sBo is back!!

HEY!! :welcome: BACK!

That'll teach me not to fly through the posts to catch up - I missed it and had to go back - methinks he lurks more than he lets on - and posts occasionally just to keep me on my toes...

luv ya, John!

Oh Monica ... question for Ms. Pilates Instructor ... what the difference between yoga & pilates with regards to what's offered at the Y? I think I saw that our Y also has a water pilates class offered. Any insight???

Ang
We interrupt our regularly scheduled DISing for some exercise advice...and you've hit the jackpot - aqua instructor, pilates instructor, and a long-time YMCA employee including 5 years as a full-time YMCA aquatic director in Chicago. :thumbsup2

if you are at the Ed Issakson YMCA - I just looked at their classes on their website- I want to join your Y...oh my, an aqua instructors dream!!! o.k. Anything in the water, will more than likely get a green-light from your dr. and a good place to return to exercise especially after back surgery - extremely gentle - low or non impact and it doesn't have to be a granny workout... (I've been known to wipe smirks off of a few men's faces by the end of class - they can't believe the "old ladies" are still going...) With your Ys schedule - you can get all your fitness needs stretch, flexibility, toning, and cardio- a great variety. If you are comfortable in deep water, it's awesome!

The National YMCA requires aqua instructors to be well certified with water safety and an aquatic specific instructor certification - so, you'll (hopefully) be in good hands.

Now, Pilates vs Yoga on land - don't know much about Yoga but, given your surgery - I'd be very leary doing Pilates in a group setting even if your dr says o.k. - (unless it's a well qualified instructor - you might get an instructor with a quickie certification - who doesn't know about making modifications based on body type or your specific needs -) and it's also difficult to take the time during a group exercise setting...

Somewhere I have checklists for finding a good aquatic instructor and also one for a pilates instructor - I'll have to look for them.

Back to our regulary scheduled fluff...

while the smell of freshly brewed coffee is wonderful - the aroma of freshly roasting beans if HORRIBLE!!! - think burnt popcorn in the microwave but, worse...
