Thanks....maybe this time it will actually WORK!! ;) :rotfl2: <----that's me exercising....does it count?

So the kitchen is closed after 7:30... does that mean I can still raid the freezer in the garage, or the beer fridge in the laundry room?

I need to get my butt in gear... we are down to the wire here!!

I just ordered a gown for a black tie banquet that I have to attend in April (and will recycle for formal night on the cruise)... hope it fits when it gets here.(Nothing like ordering online... no idea HOW it will fit!!!) Actually, I almost hope that it *doesn't* quite fit... maybe it will be incentive to finally lose a few lbs.

I know Mary set up a WISH thread for the SSMC06 ppl. And I saw there was a thread for the Double Scoop cruise (the november one)

Maybe we should set up a May Double Scoop thread as a place we can all go and support each other's efforts.

As long as I can join for just getting back in to shape. I'm trying to get myself motivated to get to the Y for 7:00 PM or get in to work an hour earlier so I can go to the Y for 10:15 AM for yoga class. The surgeon suggested that I take a class to get my flexibility back. I'm hoping that would work for toning my abs muscles too ... Emily has mentioned twice now that I look like I'm going to have a baby.

Maybe I need to get myself to try on the dresses, shorts & swimsuits. That may be MY motivation. I really don't want to have to buy a whole new wardrobe! A few pieces - yes; a whole new wardrobe - no thanks!

Oh Monica ... question for Ms. Pilates Instructor ... what the difference between yoga & pilates with regards to what's offered at the Y? I think I saw that our Y also has a water pilates class offered. Any insight???

Ain't NO WAY I'm telling anyone how much I really weigh! That would leave me wide open to the blackmailers on this thread.

Oh wait....Diana says I'M the blackmailer....never mind.....

Karen - yes you book Palo on the time you want and it doesn't have to be the same time as your rotation. In fact some like to do what is called the Disney Double Dip. Going to your regular early rotation with the kids and having a little something before heading off to Palo for your full dinner.
Isn't that known as: "The Matt Method"??

Except he just does two full dinners.....

NEVER on the WISH board does anyone have to disclose their weight. Ever. And, really, WISH isn't all about losing weight....it's about being healthy in general....exercise, good food choices, drinking more water, whatever it may be :)

You don't have to say what you weigh. You just have to say what your goal is. For me on the SSMC06 it is to lose 35-40 lbs. before we cruise in October. That is just under a pound a week so very doable. So if someone wants to start up one for this group I would use the same criteria and say 15 lbs. before the May cruise.

There are the other fun challenges over there as well. I've signed up for the lose 5 in February, Stay out of the kitchen after 7:00 pm (you set your own time) and the exercise challenge (my mark is 600 as well). I'm just not putting the logos in my signature since I already have two special ones I want to keep.

In the meantime, I think Diana has a pretty good "grass skirt" picture that we could use to replace your picture. :earseek:
Isn't the skirt supposed to be around your waist, NOT your head.......

Guess I'm not a coffee snob b/c I LOVE cruise coffee. In fact, when I get home and try to drink coffee I always say "ugh, this isn't cruise coffee."

Hmmm....wonder what I'm missing.
Fresh roasted beans?

We do grind our own from a specialty coffee shop, but it's not the same.
Freshly roasted Tanzania peaberry beans. Roasted to a Full City roast profile and ground freshly every morning. Brewed with filtered water at no more than 205° brewing temps.

It could be. Just get small bags, and buy every few days. Probably easier to roast at home though.
Sure!! Especially when you get it served in bed!!

I guess I'm not the coffee snob that I thought I was. Yes, I have to have my Louisiana brand of coffee that I grew up on (Community Coffee dark roast) but it's vacuum packed (GASP!). I'm sure some of you wouldn't approve of the way I like my coffee either ... it's more like cafe au lait ... there's no way I could stand coffee without milk/half & half & sugar.

Oh, you're one of those that make "pudding" out of your coffee!! :rotfl2:

Ya'know,

I do have that self-contained electric vacuum brewer that could be stashed in a suitcase.... :teeth:

What are you roasting with?

The little iRoast. It does work pretty well. I have it programmed to a roasting profile that suits.
