Just bought a belated Christmas present yesterday - 5 of Fred Astaire and Ginger Roger's movies are released into a box set...I'm so excited!

Oh, will have to look for that. We haven't screened many Hollywood musicals for Alicia (though she loved American in Paris), and those are the best! The problem with getting them off Netflix, we have to go buy some of them later because we like them so much! Whoever thought that "Mermaids" with Cher and Winona Ryder would be a current teenager's "favorite movie ever"?

Hey there! Not a lot of time to post. I'm not on the unlimited plan and, although I like you guys, I don't want to eat up my stateroom credit talking to you! ;)

Here's the scoop so far....
getting a number at the terminal and boarding by group was painless. We were there fairly early and got a number 4. we didn't feel like we lost out on any time because of the new system...esp with online booking for palo, etc.

last night, sail away was delayed by an hour and fifteen minutes b/c we waited for a family whose plane was late getting into MCO.

seas were a bit high last night (jet stream?) and now we are doing a steady rock, but the sun is shining and it *looks* beautiful. in actuality, it is pretty chilly and we are bundled in sweatshirts and/or jeans when out on deck.

staggered dining times seems to be alright. we got the 5:30 time. gives us more time to eat and then get to the show. since we have no excursions planned, we're not going to have to hustle back to get to dinner.

rich purpura was the comedian last night. good show. :)

HORRIBLE neighbors (not my parents....on the *other* side) they got home for the night last night just as i was going to bed. and then they proceeded to laugh and giggle and talk really loud and bang things around...every once in awhile i heard a kid scream....i fully thought it would be a room of teens (you know, with the parents in another room kinda thing) but today hanging over the verandah next door was a 40 something guy and his wife and they were talking and giggling with the same annoying giggles. grrrrrr.

today we were heading to st. maarten and diverted to nassau for a medical evacuation. pilot boat pulled up and some guy with oxygen stepped off the magic and onto the pilot boat. then we turned and are now kicking butt to get go st. maarten on time.

the other "emergency" is that my dad didn't pack any pants other than his jeans. yes. he set out all of his pants, but didn't pack them (probably the first time my mom didn't totally pack for him) so last night he went to dinner in jeans. for tonight, formal night, he tried to borrow a pair of mike's pants but they were too small. oh well. LOTS of ppl at dinner last night in jeans, shorts, sweatshirts and otherwise very very casual, so I don't think anyone will care.

that's it in a nutshell. i'd ask if there are any questions, but i probably won't actually READ the thread until i get home....

have fun everyone!! i know i am!!!

That's the one nice thing about the "other" cruise lines. And I wish Disney would do this also. The "other" lines have "real" stores, where you can even buy underwear if you need them.

They have dress pants and shirts in Treasure Ketch. I'm pretty sure they have pants. I know they have ties and dress shirts because we had to buy them for Mark on the Member Cruise when we were invited to Palo for dinner and hadn't planned or packed for it.

I forgot about the guy's stuff! I guess I was thinking more in the lines of my Pooh-sized clothing. Sorry..... :guilty:

You are right there Stacey. They had nothing for me. In fact I also looked in Key West that day and found nothing. I ended up wearing my long sleeveless Disney dress that I had worn the night before. I figured since I had only worn it to dinner and was dining with all different people no one would notice. :)

And I bet no one did.
Jordan wore the same skirt that she had worn for Christmas dinner (this year) to the Captain's Reception. We hadn't taken anything incredibly formal, but I wanted us to at least look presentable. She wasn't too happy about wearing the same thing twice (gasp!) but she wore it. She went straight to the room after the reception to change her clothes. God forbid someone she knew might see her! :rotfl:

Hey, Monica....you're on your own with John.

Mary and I don't nag....do we, Mary??? :teeth:

You know...when I got up this morning, I had a couple of "cruise related" questions for everyone. But before I even finished my first cup of coffee, I had to throw some clothes on and go over to our apartment, and now I forgot what I was going to ask.

I hate when that happens.

Maybe tonight I'll wake up in the middle of the night, remember them, and post with Jim. It would be one way of keeping LISA off the boards! ;)

I think one of them had to do with the bags we are talking about ordering.

Are they coolers? If so, it sounds like that would be great for our Tulum tour. I read that it gets warm walking around there, so I'm going to take water. I'm also going to take one of those spray-bottle fans with me. I could carry that in the bag, too. Or have the pack mule carry it for me...since he won't be dragging the snorkel bag. :teeth:

I get the feeling that I am talking to myself..........:bored:

I could say something nasty....but instead I'll just say:

A T.O.P. with MYSELF!!

Speaking from experience?

I won't need that because I don't wear any......:scared1:

Photo Gallery Update
Well since Stacey was nagging me :rotfl2: I decided to put up the picture of her and Monica from their December meeting.

Also Julia I owe you an apology. You had sent your info to us while we were in Disneyland and it went into the notebook. Mark forwarded it to me when we got home and I forgot about it. Only thing missing is your cabin number. We'll need that if you want buttons for you and your family.

Is that because you need room in the luggage for the carafe?
