Now who asked what do they do for Varicose veins, Kevin? From what Augie said, they put this long thin wire in his vein and cauterize it. He couldn't actually SEE what they were doing, but he could feel the pressure in his leg. Sorry if that's too graffic. I don't enjoy it either. He's braver than I.

I'm off work today! So what am I doing up so early. Woke up and couldn't go back to sleep. The good thing is I can go back and not worry about getting up and going to work. Going to start the undecorating process today.

Today is our traditonal Boxing Day Party for the "locals". Those who all grew up in the area. We used to spend Crhistmas Day traveling to each other's homes and no one saw anyone 'cause we were all out traveling. The group is smaller now than in past years, but we will have fun. Sam is grilling a turkey and I'm making the side dishes. Yes, presents too....Santa may even come - but he wears Mickey ears. This is a Disney loving group....

Glad that Augie managed his walk and I can't imagine that he must go through it 2wice again. Perhaps after he is healed he will agree it was worth it.

Stace - sounds like fun - I will wait for the full report. I am very interested in the ruins come May....

Ang - no car yet - maybe today?

Fran - Hi - perhaps we can get Augie to take an informal survey with his walks about what people wear at the malls?

Maria, I'm glad to hear that Auggie is doing ok. But, I know what he means about not wanting to do surgery again! There's no way I'd put myself through this hell again.

No car yet. This is stressful! I guess DH & I are somewhat of tight-wads and what we want is soooo expensive! The GMC dealership did call last night and said that they got in a previously owned '05 loaded Yukon with 11K miles in from Sarasota, FL. We'll go take a look at it this morning. We also want to check out the Chevy Tahoes. We both like the Toyota Sequoia but it's probably out of our price range. Anyone ever buy a car through Costco or Sam's before? Just wondering how much of a discount you can get.

yikes, KT, Augie, Pam - Hope all is better. Two Happy Bdays, and Ang I have had 4x SUV's for years. Got a Toyota Sienna and really like it. Actually has more passenger AND cargo than the Excursion. The seats are more comfy also. I never thought I would like a mini van but now I would recommend trying one out.

Going to start the undecorating process today.​

I was off today too, and spent the entire AM undecorating... spent the afternoon at a funeral for the 'significant-other' of a co-worker... do you have any idea how SLOW a funeral procession goes when its being led by an antique John Deere pulling a trailer with the casket in it. (Insert redneck joke here.) He was an avid antique tractor fanatic and restorer, and was granted his last wish. It was actually a really nice touch, and very fitting.​
