Speaking of transportation to and from the port. Mike has put me in charge of getting from MCO to the port. I'm leaning town car (FL town car) but thought wouldn't they be surprised if a LIMO pulled up to get us?? We only need it one way.....after the cruise we're getting a one way rental car and visiting Gma Lightbulb.

Btw, this is for the cruise coming up THIS week!!!

Any suggestions on limo companies?

I think we used Southern Elegance last December, it went well. If you venture over to the transportation board, they talk about limos quite often. We shared with Ken, Shari & Stacy, and the girls were quite thrilled.

So what's everyone up to tonight? I'm sure I'll be snoozing before midnight.
We're having pizza for dinner tonight. We live an EXCITING life!!! :rotfl:

Oh ... no new vehicle for us. We decided that we'll just drive what we have a little while longer. We'll take both cars & get them detailed so that they'll feel a little newer. I think now we're deciding to still get rid of the 10 year old Accord but look around for a smaller SUV or sedan that will be cheaper in price & gas.

9.....just about the time I'm ready to put my p.j.'s on. (OK...yes I'm usually in bed by 10!)

I'm with ya on that one!

If anyone is going out & about, be SAFE!

Ya, you and me both!!

Actually, we are making shrimp scampi tonight, with a fresh Caesar salad, topped off with chocolate fudge cake with Banfi!!

 :cheer2: Happy New Year!! :cheer2: :earseek:

We rented movies too. Right now, Valiant is on. A Disney movie we missed at the theatres. Having fun guessing who's doing the voices. I've guessed about 50% correctly.

Yes, big night at the Eddy house.

Scoopy arrived today, in good shape but looking a little loved. Will be freshening him up with my super duper fresher-upper stuff (baby wipes). Has Scoopy been practicing Voodoo? The first thing Alicia noticed was a pin stuck in his head!

yep, 10:30 midwest time and the pj's are going on - once again made it to New Year's in New Brunswick...We went to a party but, then left early - foggy on the roads and don't like to be driving tonight anyway. It's amazing how many people are ignoring the state-wide ban on fireworks..,

I've used FLTours several times, and I think they are great! Our driver is always right out front, ready and waiting...and waiting right at the bottom of the escalator by baggage claim when we get off the plane.
We'll use them for May also....and since our return flight is later, we'll get a day room at the Hyatt...it's nice to have a place to stretch out.

Diana...you can use Disney's transportation, no matter what airline you use.
The port doesn't have a baggage check-in for Southwest, I don't think. I think they had Delta, United, American and America West. But I'd rather have my bags on the bus with us anyway. I don't know what the cost is.

So, yes....we're home. Our flight was actually 25 minutes EARLY! Came home and crashed on the couch for a while, went and got something to eat, and are heading for bed soon. Happy New Year!! Big doings in our house! ;)

LOTS of Ohio State and Notre Dame fans at our airport. We saw a guy with a shirt that said:
CHOKE
The official soft drink of Michigan State

And the "Choke" was in the same print that Coke uses. :rotfl2:

Since it is already past midnight in the east...
Good morning cruisers!

But the point is, I don't WANT to handle the luggage. I want them to check it for us, do you think that's possible? I know when we left in August, and I went to the airport with Alicia, they wouldn't let me check my luggage because my flight was many hours away. So I changed to an earlier flight that had a stopover because I wanted to go through security with her. That was when she was going to Ft. Lauderdale to meet Kevin, and I was going home.

Guess I will have to call DCL and ask about this.

Glad you made it back safely and quickly, Stacey. Naps are always good!

Not likely to make it to midnight here, Kevin is already gone.

Happy New Year, DIS friends!

Ouch!

Happy New Years!!!

Sharon and I made it to 10 PM. I'm not sure about the kids because they are still in bed.

The neighbors came back from their Christmas trip several days early so they came over for dinner last night. Matt made prime rib. We tried a new desert kit, Lava Cake, and it was easy and excellant with Banfi.

Happy New Year to all of the fellow DISers!!!

Getting ready to finish up here at work and start the drive to Atlanta!

LET'S GO MOUNTAINEERS!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

GO 'EERS!!!!!!!!!!!! (a little late)

Jeanne and I went to neighbors for dinner and a few rousing hands of cards. Didn't make it for the new year. Home, in bed and watching the football game by 10.

Angie,

Great minds think alike! We had pizza last night too. Actually, Chef-boy-r-dee homemade! :) mmmm....

Then we started watching Lord of the Rings (not impressed, kids didn't like it) so we decided to watch the Harry Potter movies in order. Started with #1...stayed awake. Began #2....paused for the Dick Clark ball drop and then shortly after fell asleep. The kids made it all the way through #2. Mike fizzled out near the end....it was almost 2:00 am!!!

Well, booked the limo from the airport to the port. Used FL tours b/c #1, they are a DIS sponsor, #2, they had the best online reservation booking system (Southern Elegance's wouldn't even let me in) and #3, Stacey recommended them from past experience and I figure if they can deal with Stacey..... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Love ya, Stacey....welcome home! We missed you!

LOVE the CHOKE tee-shirt!! Should be a good game tomorrow night. Of course, Mike is on call, so we won't be starting to watch the game (Tivo) until it's actually over. Let's hope I can make it to the end of that! :)

Have a great day everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! (today is the day I go and write 2006 on the next 10 checks in my checkbook so I don't goof up the date!) ;)

Should be time for a TOP!

Can't believe I noticed that. Usually I'm so good at setting up the TOP for the next person!!!

We are now all undocoreated inside and outside. The house is also clean.....just in time to go back to work on Tuesday. :guilty: I felt there was NO reason to clean while on vacation. Anyone second that motion! :confused3

Me, me!!! (But then again, with Mom & Dad here, they do it before I even get a chance to...)

We are headed to Tampa tomorrow... going to the BNL New Year's Eve concert at the Forum, and to the Outback Bowl on Monday... go IOWA!!! (Not particularly a Hawkeye fan, but can't bring myself to root for those god-awful Gators!!) This will be a kid-free weekend... guess we should pack the Banfi!

Oh and one more thing -- Goooooooooooooo GATORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tonight was yesterday --- we had such a GREAT party on Friday night that I spent the entire day being lazy - slept late, read a book, did not clean the house....Last night Sam made a patio fire and we watched the neighbors fireworks, let off a few ourselves....Hope everyone had a good time as well.

Off to see friends today and football - miss the Rose Parade though.

Um, can you please remove the pin....I think if was left over from when he was wearing a hat on the cruise - sorry about that! And we wondered why the cone had a headache!
