Pam, great job on hitting 21000...........

On our cruise in September DD met some other 'tween' girls and we hardly saw them, they hung out and when they weren't out they were calling each other, they really had fun and enjoyed the freedom.

DL sounds great, we have been to WDW so many times but never gone to DL, the few times we have been in CA have been for cruises or vacations and just never had the urge to go, would love to go to Hong Kong etc - anyone been to the parks there???

We're a family of three, scuba diver husband (and General Contractor)

That confused me. I thought scuba_diver was SHARON'S husband.

Too many rehearsals. Too many performances. Brain is fried. Poor Nick has had meltdown both last night and tonight. The boy is fried. And I think after the adrenaline rush he crashes.

And now KT wants to audition for "Little Women" (sigh)
And then after that, Nick wants into "Holes" (sigh again)

JUSTMESTACE - thanks for the welcome, we are looking forward to the cruise, one great thing about booking late is less of a countdown.

Yeah...no fair! The Pirates may have to come up with an "initiation"! pirate:

Pam...Congrats on 21,000! Sorry about the meltdown...everyone's entitled now and then. Poor Ashley! You did a great job at making it better, though. Sometimes it's okay to break the rules and I bet she felt pretty special with makeup!

Julia...guess I could introduce myself...I'm Stacey, DH is Jay, DD Jordan will be 16 on the cruise, and DS Jared will still be 12. He'll turn 13 in late June. We're the snorkelers.....trying to hit as many spots as we can. We met the most wonderful couple many years ago in Belize...they had just opened their own resort in the jungle. She was/is American, and he was from South Africa. He passed away a couple of years ago, but she and her kids are still running the resort....duPlooy's.

Mary...I'm gonna cry reading your report. I can't wait to get back there!
No more dancing waters....bummer. So many changes! Remember way back when, the Monorail Cafe? I still have some cups from there. Now you can't even tell where it was. I always wanted to stay in one of the garden bungalows over there, and by the time we could afford them, they were gone.

You have reminded me that I need to make a payment on our March trip for the cheer competition...(that's my excuse, anyway!)....
I have a package that gives me spending money for in the parks or at DTD...and I have a bunch of money on my Disney Visa rewards card...and NOW I know that if I use my Visa, I can get 10% off also! Whoo hoo!! Thank you...we're gonna make out like bandits.

I'm going to have to go back to the Aladdin show. When we went, I saw some of it...but I fell asleep! Can you imagine, with all that going on??? :faint:

Well, I at least managed to accomplish something tonight...I packed all of the toiletries and the extra junk like extension cords.
I have a few magnetic Christmas decorations, and a page of window clings. I'm also trying some of those new "gel" decorations, they look kind of cute. Not having a tree, or taking the stockings & gifts like we did on DCL last year. We'll do gifts a day or so before we leave, with Megan and Pete.

Hey Kevin...(the scuba diver/contractor/handy man/camera man)....what speed of film should I get for the underwater camera? 200...400? I'm looking at it from a "lighting" standpoint. Maybe it won't matter, I plan on taking the strobe this time.

I replaced the white light bulbs in our driveway lights with green ones today, and no one noticed! I wonder if I should have used red?? LOL It would look like a house of Ill Repute.

All alone, talking to myself. This west-coast thing can really be a drag.

Guess I'll go to bed. 'Night, everyone!

Good Morning Jim! ;)

We had our DIS mini-meet last night with KikiPug. Great time, but it sure would have been fun to talk about the cruise. The next time we get together, after christmas, we will be able to finally talk about it.

The food was great and there was a lot of beer, amazing. I liked the wine with the cork floating in it!

We left early as I have not been feeling well for the last couple of days. The group that was just arriving were looking for a good time so I'm sure it was a late night for Karen.

Thanks Karen. :goodvibes

Congrats to Pam on post #21000

Congrats to Julia on reply #21000

Julia - just to bring you in the loop we like to celebrate things like the top of a page (which we call a TOP = Top Of Page). We also celebrate the milestone posts and replies and you got one on your first day.

BTW - we are only 3000 posts away from where we were the day the 10 day sailed. I think we are going to blow that record out of the water!

Good morning cruisers!

Happy Sunday!

To answer Pam's question - the weather out here has been great. 50's in the early mornings and evenings getting up to 70's in the day. Many like us are in t-shirts while others are in coats and we saw one group in parka's yesterday!

Glad you and Sharon could make it! Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well... It wasn't TOO late of a night... everyone was out the door and all the dishes washed by 12:30AM... my Dad was the usual one-man cleanup crew.

We have SOOOOOOOOO much extra food... Ray, being your typical Italian, can't cook for a crowd of less than 100!!! At around 10:30, we invited all the boys in (Ray's football players had been playing in the street while their parents were inside...)... they made more of a dent in the food, but we still need Matt's help. I think I'll be sending quite a bit to our church youth group 'progressive dinner party' tonight!

Yeah... the cork in the wine... at least the cork was in one piece!!! And that WASN'T me, I'll have you know!!! Never got around to opening the Banfi (thanks again... I'll no longer be a Banfi virgin...)... just too much food, and too much punch.

Two more weeks, and we can talk cruise all you want!!!!

Sounds like you had a great party last night Karen.

We need to start getting around so we can make church this morning.

I have all the iron ons to do for my mom and dad's anniversary. When I went to Austin last week I found some cute shirts at the Disney outlet for only $5.00 each. They are royal blue and have a Mickey in the middle with stars and like fireworks going off. I am going to iron -on a transfer on the back with the golden Mickey ears and says something about my mom and dad''s 50 magical years. Anyway, I have 8 of them to do today. My mom would love to be selected to ride in the car at the front of the parade. Hoping that the matching shirts will attract a little attention. Here's hoping for a little pixie dust.

Hey guys I know it is a long shot but I need help finding a christmas gift. It is one of the hot toys this year, but I am looking for Dance Dance Revolution Mario Remix for the gamecube. If any of you happen by this game please please please snatch it up for me and I will pay you for it.

That's how we tell the "natives" from the tourists. Those of us who have lived in this climate for a while are freezing, wearing coats...and the people from the midwest and east are in shorts and t-shirts! LOL

HEY! A T.O.P. with Mary!

Kevin,Jim and Irene....a word of advice

Pass gas in a wetsuit!

I saw this on another board I go to and I had to share with you all!

Hi everyone! Hope you're enjoying your Sunday.

Pam, sorry about your bad day yesterday. I hope the big post made up for it!

We all made it to Mass this morning. I think we may have turned a corner with Ashley. She's actually being quiet and can sit through without pitching a fit to go home. YEAH! I'm hoping by cruise time, she will be grown up enough not to embarrass us too much.

Came home and got the girls changed into Christmas clothes then off to the mall to take pics with Santa. Somehow we finally convinced Ashley that Santa wasn't so bad (she's been terrified). She agreed to sit on his lap if she could do it with her sister. She even practiced her smile! The line was awful when we got there. They were handing out pagers and were told that it would be an hour before we were beeped. So, off we went to the other side of the mall to the food court. You would know that as I was ordering food, the beeper went off. It wasn't an hour ... more like 15 minutes! So, it was back across the mall to see Santa. Ashley got scared when it was their turn. She didn't cry but had a pout on her face. Every time Santa went to put his hand on her, she looked down at his hand with a look of "What is your hand doing on me?!" So, we have a picture of a happy Emily and a pouting Ashley. But, it's still cute.

Don't worry about your kids embarrassing you....they all do it to us at one point or another. Even the teenagers. But I'm getting my revenge, I have a refridgerator magnet that says "I was put on this planet to embarrass my teenagers in front of their friends" Paybacks! :teeth:
