Warning....Thread hijack for diving discussion.

Kevin, I talked to teacher. We are going to let Matt out of school 12/16. Grades have to be in by then so it should be a blow off day.

I talked to Red. We are going to wait until next week to book something. We want to make sure Key Largo is still there.

Now back to your regular fluff! :rotfl:

Hey Karen (OM) do you realize that if we hadn't booked the Member Cruise we'd be sailing this weekend? I think you had the 10/22 cruise already booked and we were going to book it while on the 10 day. Of course the Member Cruise came and we booked that! :)

I have a feeling I'm going to be seeing my boss next week. She's supposed to be on a cruise that leaves from Miami on Monday. :confused3

Wow. No, I hadn't thought of that! We booked for October b/c we thought if the kids got parts in plays, rehearsals wouldn't start until just after we were back (more than likely).....

Rehearsals started two days ago....they go 3-4 times a week from now until show time in December....glad we aren't cruising next week!

hey....which means....SOMEONE is celebrating an anniversary here soon!!!

Cool, Alicia had the same "blow off day" on Friday too.

Sounds reasonable, I wasn't going to get real excited until the end of the month anyway! Thanks for the update.

Sitting at the pizza place with Jared & our employee, Bill...waiting for Jay. Jordan is upstairs at dance. She had just gotten home from cheer & I just got back from the doctor. Time for a break.....I wish!

Keep us posted, not sure you want novices along but what the heck.....perhaps, if all the shopping, wrapping, decorating is done????

Even Stac is asleep tonight - geeez - must go and "be good" and do more cleaning for the hurricane - bless it's little, where is it going - heart!@

Not sleepin'.....we just got home from the restaurant. I have about 20 minutes of Survivor to watch before I go get Jordan. I have no idea where Jay went. We all left the restaurant at the same time, and he isn't home. :confused3 If he was going back to the shop, I wish he'd told me....I would have sent HIM to get Jordan!! :sunny:

Darn those guys! They tend to wonder off, never thinking we might get worried. Is Jay the only family member without a cel phone?

I watched Survivor tonight too. Pretty entertaining tonight.

Worry, is that what that is??? Looks like Mad to me....... :rotfl2:

He has a cell phone....but Bill told me tonight that he broke it today. (Bill did, not Jay). Anyway....he remembered as he left the restaurant that there was a town meeting that he needed to go to. He did apoligize for not being able to call me. I figured he couldn't have gone too far. And yeah....I thought of the Mother Ship. LOL

Kevin...your sea fan reminds me of a funny thing in Bonaire. You'll have to ask Jordan about the "Pretty Purple Coral". :confused3

Good Morning Cruisers - Another Day of waiting and wondering. Make that two days - the storm is slowing and instead of all of this being over and donw eith Sunday - it is now Tuesday - But, I hope the good news is this means a less intense storm......We have not completed any preparation - as it is such a disruptive mess.

Some cleaning is being accompished, which is good....We need to do this anyway before our trip.

Am tempted to check the weather for diving if the storm will not be here until Late Monday night but that may be a bit too self-indulgent....

The lack of productivity if unreal....It really affects businesses - ecept for grocery stores. GAS panic is beginning.....But I don't think it is in the Orlando area for those of you goingt o WDW. Many of our stations were empty last night....I was spotting for a friend on my way home so she would know where to go - open, shut, shut, open, ??? shut.....

Anyone heard from Fran????? Our West Coast Office is closing at noon today. Which is good for the staff - and we had to make a decision, but as it seems we could have stayed open....Oh well, Maybe I'll go to the Mall.....Oh wait, I am working today.....

Later... :wave2:

Back to the Food and Wine Saga

I never finished our trip report - Day 3 and since I am tired of watching hurricane coverage here goes....That evening was Festival of the Senses, so we needed to conserve our capacity for food and drink - How to start - with
Fairy Tale at the welcome center. The Peanut and Bee exhibits are always a must stop for us, so we wandered there waiting for The World Showcase to open.

Then the Australia walk-about, of course. We rememered some of the servers from last year,,,,that was a hoot....The wines were not outstanding, but it was cool and a fun time.

I had decided to chow down on the vegetable entrees and after the wine tasting, I needed some food. Sam stopped at Itlay for the Sicilian Pizza with Olive Crust and I nibbled at the crust, with a glass of the Placido Pinto Grigio. A quick trip to Morocco for the Hummus with Pita and Lemon Chicken with Yellow Rice, which we shared, with a Casa Beer on the side, and then back to USA for the 10th Anniversary Festival Beer. We were treated to the Pipe and Drum Review while I sipped my beer and DH had the BBQ beef with Cornbread.

Because it was so good, we stopped at India for another order of the Chicken Curry and I tried the Kingfisher Beer.....yummy.

Regretfully, the Spanish Omlette which sounded so good at 9:00 am, was not appealing in the heat of the day, so it was bypassed.

No Soarin', lines were too long. Instead back to the hotel Pool Bar for a quick Maragita, just because and then a long nap before the Main Event.....

OK - back to productive times.....

:flower: Good morning cruisers! :flower:
