Just a quick note and a bit of advice...

John just went to fill up our gas tanks. There are several major gas producing refineries in the path of the hurricane, so the price per barrel cost is starting to rise...Gas prices should starting jumping up tomorrow, especially in the gulf coast/southern states....

That would be the obvious choice. However, I would LOVE to go down to Akumal-Tulum Mexico and dive some of the Cenotes!!! One of the guys doing the DIR fundies courses here dives down there with some guys. Sounds absolutely marvelous!!!!

I filled up this afternoon also, even though I just filled up on Thursday. Had been doing a lot of running around, so I wanted to top off before starting the work week. I was shocked that my price at Costco had gone down 5 cents since Thursday.

Yes they are gone just like last month. I assume it is a bandwith issue and they will be back on 9/1.

Tomorrow I morning I fly to Scottsdale, AZ for two days of meetings. I happened to plan my flights well enough that Stacey and I are going to have lunch on Monday. Another pre-cruise meet for me, assuming they let her out of Vegas tonight.

I just realized that even if BIL and wife come home and their sale goes through on Thurs., they may not (actually, probably will not) have a place to live. Their plan was to move in to her family's camp on Lake Ponchatrain until their new home is complete in Jan. I've never seen the camp but know the street that it is on and what type of camps are there. If Katrina does hit New Orleans, there is going to be nothing left of it.

Please continue to keep everyone in your prayers. I still can't believe that my parents aren't leaving. They left for Andrew but aren't leaving for this one.

Waiting to hear you and your family are ok. The storm hit just before I logged on...we escaped Andrew but I worked the aftermath - maybe your folks would have left since time has elapsed while I was out of town....

I'm taking extra DVDs so I have something to do in the Delta's Crown Room while waiting out the delays. This week is not the week to be traveling from the east coast to the west coast, and back.

So true, DH's flight out of West Palm Beach was cancelled - even though Ft. L. and Miami had re-opened for traffic????

the most special place I can think of is "Victoria and Albert's", but it will be very expensive.

What about dinner at the castle during the firework show, it is awsome. You'll need to stop at Contemporary for your champagne toast.

O'hana's is fun - Artiste Point is another favourtie....When is the big event again?
