Kids are off to school!! Angie, I'm sure Emily will be fine!!!

My baby girl is in 3rd grade!!! Time goes by so fast!!! Maggie was upset last night because she didn't have an alarm clock and she was afraid she'd oversleep. She was the first one up at 6:15.

The house seems so quiet! I had forgotten what the the sound of silence is like...

Angie...I sympathize with you on the first day of kindergarten. What I told my son when he told me he was nervous and scared was that the teacher could be nervous and scared, too. SHE didn't know any of you yet either. So, maybe the teacher is just as nervous as you are. It helped him out and he felt sorry for the teacher that she was scared, too. Took his mind off himself.

Seahorse Catamaran Snorkel Adventure - Anyone been on this? I will post a new thread on the main board. I can't decide to try this in November - or just relax..........It takes 4 hours away from CC relaxing (and tiki bar) activities, so I think....perhaps I will cancel the reservation....Oh decisions, decisions......

Mary's alternative plan sounds like a winner too --- snorkle in Lagoon and retreat to S. Bay and snorkle in adult beach area....

We've got Brighthouse... cable is fine, cable internet is fine, phone shows "in use" on the modem... this is the 2nd modem that has gotten fried in 2 months due to weather... they're coming to replace it AGAIN today. (It's there expense, not mine, but it's still a PITA!) Once we move, we are going back to traditional phone service... digital phone isn't all its cracked up to be!!!!

Yes, I think our modem might be fried, but DSL service says it is the phone line, which works for transitting voices, just not data....ho hum.....

PALO RESERVATIONS UPDATE - from our November Cruise....

One of our cruisers wanted to book a table for Palo brunch for 6 people, there are 2 in his cabin for a ladies day out for some of the ladies in our group. It was a nice thought, and I did not restate some of our issues on fairness......BUT, Disney will not let you do that....They have fixed the system and will only let you book the number that are in the cabin....at least by the sample of one attempt......

Just an FYI...

Wow,that is exactly what I suggested in the email I sent them. I also suggested that they allow the ability to 'link' reservations like in main dining so a larger group could still dine together without abusing the policy there.

Maria, that was a great idea. I wish I had thought of that last night. We did tell Emily that most of the kids would be nervous since it was new for everyone.

It never fails... as soon as I try to plan something fun for myself, work gets in the way. Didn't look close enough at the calendar... Ray will be working all weekend, leaving me with 'kid duty', football games, etc... AND I just found out this morning that I need to attend a 4-day meeting the 16th-19th in Sarasota... so I guess its another one of those 'divide-and-conquer' weeks for us... no WDW fun for me. (Tho' the R-C in Sarasota can't be TOO bad... )

Hi All,

Just booked at my timeshare, Marriott Grande Vista in Orlando, for the 2 nights before our cruise, May 25th and 26th. BUT, if there's a group of us staying at one of the closer hotels the night before, we can be swayed to change plans. I know, it's way to early for all you travelers to figure out where you're staying the night(s) before. I'm just a compulsive planner and need to have things buttoned up already. I think I'm going to need some kind of medication as this cruise gets closer. I am WAY too excited 9 months out. HELP!!!

Believe it or not...I'm still in my PJs. I love these kinds of days. Do things around the house, but taking my time getting showered, etc. Going to a minor league baseball game tonight. It's a farm team for Tampa Bay they're called the Hudson Valley Renegades. The boys are all excited, me too.

Talk to you guys later....maybe it's time to shower. The EPA just called my house.

Maria sent me some great pictures of the boys with Scoopie - they are going to be heartbreakers in a few years! I'll try to get them up tomorrow when I have a bit more time.

Tonight, it's the Astros vs Cubs in the REALLY good seats!!! We're going with friends in their company seats...12 row inbetween home plate and the start of the visitor's dugout....I'm soo excited!!! We've gone before at the last minute but, this is the first time we've gone when the Cubs are playing the Astros. My friends are even allowing me to wear my Cubs jersey but, I have to sit on the end so they can pretend they don't know me I'm threatening to bring my "Hi, Dad" sign since my dad will be watching the game at home in Chicago - figured that sign would be more appropriate than the "Help, I'm surrounded by Astros fans"

This is sooo weird the house is too quiet. I may have to turn on the radio for some noise...I actually miss the kids...(I think it's more that I miss the excuse excuse to not get the laundry done and the house clean)

PUBLIC APOLOGY to Ohiominnie for the Cat-napping of Mowana! I deleted some pictures on my Photobucket site...the dog, some of the kids, and poor Mowana. I had no idea that would make him disappear from her sig. She paid the ransom and he is back.
Kevin...someone....can you help her put him back on here so that I can quit feeling so cat-gone guilty??? aw: aw: aw: (As opposed to doggone guilty!)
