Emily made it safely from school to after-care (at day care where she's been going since she was 10 weeks old). The director gave me a call at work when she arrived and let me speak with her briefly. It helps to have become friends with the director over the past few year. Her DD and Emily were best friends for the past 5 years - too bad they live in another county so she & Emily did not get to attend the same elem. school).

Emily said that she had a great day and made lots of new friends. Now I'm relieved. I can't wait to hear about her day when I pick her up this afternoon.

I am so totally loving it being quiet today!! Getting a lot done, so that's nice.

PUBLIC APOLOGY to Ohiominnie for the Cat-napping of Mowana! I deleted some pictures on my Photobucket site...the dog, some of the kids, and poor Mowana. I had no idea that would make him disappear from her sig. She paid the ransom and he is back.
Kevin...someone....can you help her put him back on here so that I can quit feeling so cat-gone guilty??? aw: aw: aw: (As opposed to doggone guilty!)

Just one of those things. Do a little house keeping and the world falls apart. You'll need to reload it to the same spot, OR, give Karen the new link location and she can change it on her siggie.

I know, it's way to early for all you travelers to figure out where you're staying the night(s) before. I'm just a compulsive planner and need to have things buttoned up already.

NO WAY! I figured that I'd better book early since it will be Memorial Day weekend. I have 4 nights booked in a studio cottage at Tropical Palms Resort. It's just down the road from Wide World of Sports complex. We thought about staying at Cocoa Beach on Friday night, but decided we can just drive to the port Saturday morning and not have to pack/unpack again for one night. I'm afraid to tell you that I'm the obsessive/compulsive planner, here.

Went into town for some errands this morning. Gas was $2.49/gallon. Headed back home 4 hours later and it had gone up to $2.75/gallon! DD in Kentucky said theirs went up to $2.70. But, hey, we've been getting rain for the last 3 days...

Well, back on DH 'puter - and the ole dial up connection. DSL modem is fried, toast, and capute....Had to drag the heavy duty extension cord out to the telephone box and hook up the modem to verify it's terminal condition....

Now we need to wait for new one....oh well....

I want a fall disney catalog (welcome back Mowana - where are you by the way).

Thanks for the heads up for booking a room. I have not done so and will cogitate on where I would like to stay....We've done the Radisson, and we be at Best Western for November...maybe Ron Jon's????

Good evening everyone! I did some work today, but I also spent time doing some Sudoku puzzles. DD brought one home from school on Friday, and I'm hooked. The hard ones take too long though.

The new school seems to be going alright. Alicia hasn't found a group of 9th grade friends yet, been eating lunch with a Senior girl, but I hope that will come. She is starting to read Grapes of Wrath by Steinbeck, that's one heavy duty book! She is also one of two girls that will get to take two hours of Pilates every day this week, since there are only two taking both Advanced Jazz and Ballet, and that's what the teacher is doing to get them in shape. Add to that 6 hours of rehearsals at her studio, and I think she might sleep well! So far, she thinks Chemistry is pretty easy. We'll see how long that lasts. I get to go play librarian tomorrow afternoon. Small charter school, doesn't have a librarian on staff. Actually, they don't have much of a library!
