I almost forgot! I tasted both Banfi and the Cuvee........hmmm.......I wonder which one I liked best ;-p

WHAT - no FAIRY TALE???

Letting the side down.........or saving the extra-special champagne for OUR cruise???

Are you keeping us in suspense, or are you really not sure? Maybe some more tastings are in order! Stop at the chocolate booth in Italy during F&W. They have Banfi!

And FAIRY TALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone see the preview for the new Harry Potter movie?

I glanced at it last night - it looks like it will be fun!!!!!

Good Luck Jim, I think it is our DNA - at least mine.....I love the sunrise - but wish it came at 2:00 pm.....

Sounds like a move to Alaska is in order. Course, there are those months where the sun doesn't rise at all! :(

I thought the Cuvee WAS the Fairy Tale Cuvee. Am I mistaken?

Haven't yet. We are now 1/2 way through reading Prisoner of Azkaban. Once we finish that, we'll watch that movie, then try to tackle Goblet of Fire before and finish it before the movie releases in November. Is it going ot be a late November (Thanksgiving) movie?

I believe the release date is 11/22 but i could be wrong.

edited to add - Mark just looked it up and it says the 18th on Fandango.

Cool. Thanks. Better get reading. We do at least 3 chapters a day, but I know Goblet of Fire is much bigger. Of course, my sore throat is back from reading so much. :)

If Florida girls can't live without then sun, then surely they don't want to move to Ohio!!

Oh, I am bad....and you are right.....I slipped into the conversational terms that DH and I use....how is that for very bad.....so, very, sorry Amanda.

DH and I have always used the term Cuvee to reference the french Champagne, that is also served at F&W bythe way, Piper Heidsieck Champagne or Moet...

And Fairy Tale to describe Iron Horse Vineyards.....

Now I am expecting Disboards to use the same shorthand as DH????

Oh boy    Big Public Apologies in Order.

AMANDA - THE NEXT GLASS IS ON ME....OK, THE NEXT BOTTLE IS ON ME, then we can share!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually we usually watch at least one movie on each cruise. While we don't always have time for it at home we do on vacation.

On the Member Cruise it was Sky High (ok I didn't finish it, but Mark did).

On the 10 day it was The Incredibles (which helped me win the trivia contest later in the cruise).

Good morning all!

Amanda, glad you're back!

Kevin, congrats on the pictures!

Monica, hope y'all stay somewhat dry. Where are you again? In Natchitoches? If so, I guess you'll be in for a lot of rain.

I talked to my best friend yesterday. She was relocated to Houston after Katrina. She left yesterday morning at 3:30 AM CT. She made it Lake Charles, LA around 1:30 PM CT. That's unreal! They got off of I-10 and headed west on LA Hwy. 90 and made pretty good time after that. She went back to her mom's house in Metairie, LA (NO 'burb). I'll be keeping a close eye on Rita today. My parents and brother are staying put once again. As long as she stays on her current course, they should be fine. This morning I made them promise that they'd pack up essentials now just in case they need to jump in the car to evacuate.

Hope everyone has a good Fri. I know that I'm ready for the weekend!
Angie

Nope. Won't be on your November cruise if it's DCL. They only show Disney first runs.

We actually watched 2 movies on the member cruise. I thought, going in, we wouldn't watch any b/c it was only 4 days. But we watched an 11:00 showing of Sky High and caught Herbie Fully Loaded on CC day instead of doing the end kids program (per the kids' request)

Nick didn't make it either. Wish I would have thought to bring a pillow for him to lay up against. But at least I did make the kids go to the Walt Disney theater in their PJ's! :)

That way I would have at least one woman in the house that won't complain about waking up.

Face it... women do NOT like to get up in the morning... especially in my house!!! Not even Gretchen, my dog, likes to get up in the morning. (Now, don't get me wrong... sleeping til 8 is 'late' for me... but I still don't LIKE it!!!)

Actually I LOVE getting up in the morning. It is my favorite time of day. Got to watch the sun come up twice on the Member Cruise and it was awesome!
