Congrats Kiki on your Nascar picks this past weekend! You won!

Thanks... I'll need more than one win to pull my average up from the basement... this week's win just negates last week's near-last place finish!! No race this week... what to do, what to do? Maybe the heat will let up and we can spend the day at WDW???

Sorry, Stacey, I don't have anything else. Wouldn't want to get you over-excited.

A red dust storm from Africa, all the way across the Atlantic? How is that possible?

Here you go - a satellite view -- from the story on CNN.

For all of you Banfi drinkers ... when I went to Kroger last night, I passed by the bakery case. Above all of fancy desserts, there were bottles of Banfi with a sale price of $19.99. I was tempted to buy a bottle but I'd be the only one to drink it.

Ang

So what is the problem with that? :confused3

One more reason to procrastinate on washing my car this week... supposed to be here on Wednesday or so.

No talk of impact on the shuttle launch is there? :wave2:

Don't know... but the weather guy did say that this dirt cloud is keeping the hurricanes away... I guess African dirt IS good for SOMETHING!!!

Sorry I wasn't able to catch up with you when I was in WPB last week... our time was 'booked' for us. We did have a great dinner at Panama Hattie's... reminds me a lot of my favorite place here...

Mr. Scuba...
I'm going to attempt your prime rib recipe this week....actually MATT'S recipe...

Had a time finding the right cut of meat. Asked the guy at Giant Eagle and he cut me one special. Had NO idea how much to get so I said "it's for 4 ppl" and he cut me a 2 1/4 pound piece. Of course, it was $$$!

I also have some italian seasonings in a grinder. Think that will work for the rub? Just grind and apply very generously, right?

If there is a party, Stacey is THERE!! or was that Jay???? :rotfl2:

Oh, yeah....Jay's the LIFE of the party! :rolleyes2

Hey! I got my car washed for FREE today! Inside and out. All I had to do was park it outside the office and leave the windows down! :umbrella: :umbrella: I guess next time they say it's going to rain, I'll believe them! :confused3

Sure italian seasongs will work. I normally add a little black pepper, garlic salt and rosemary. You don't have to grind them up. Just rub them on.

Well -- Just finished reading the 15 or more pages I was behind on since last weekend. Things have just been so crazy. A week ago Monday, my MIL fell in her driveway, breaking her arm and her hip. We have all been taking turns staying with her. Friday, Saturday and Sunday was the Border Long Course Swimming Championships here in town.

Ashley did very well. Swam on 2 relays and they both won. She had 10 individual events. She won 7 golds, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals and won the high point award for her age group. As soon as we finished swim meet yesterday, she wanted to go to a swim party hosted by our church. She never seems to get tired of the water.

Hopefully, I can stay caught up now for a while anyway

Someone posted about the spouses.

Mine's name is Charley. We met 19 years ago tomorrow (my 25th birthday) and were married 1 1/2 years later. He is an agriculture specialist with Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection. He is like the guy at the cruise port asking you if you have any fruits and vegetables on you. He works all different kinds of schedules, but is usually home with the kids in the summer for most of the day and tries to work nights. He loves to play golf (although he doesn't get to do it enough) and is wonderful around the house. Loves to cook, does the laundry and all that good stuff when I am not around. Lots of times when is going to work at night, he will cook us dinner before he leaves for work. Everyone loves him because he is such a nice friendly guy.

He loves all things Disney as I do. On the cruise, not sure what he will want to do. Definitely the things we didnt' make last time.

Oh, not me! Company policy states that our cars are to be washed & vacuumed weekly... I got my new car on May 24, and I haven't done it yet. (sssshhh) :ssst: It does REALLY need it now, but the light blue metallic color hides most of the dirt pretty well. No sense washing it til after the sandstorm passes.

Pam,

Sorry to hear about your MIL. Will be keeping you and her in our prayers.

Ok, Diana called and she has given me homework! (gotta love that)

Anyway, she wanted to know what time the shuttle launch is scheduled and which way to look from Beach Club Villas. She didn't believe me when I said toward Canaveral.......

Anybody in the know??

Ok, from my mapping software, I'd say go out to the pier (get out from behind the building) and look between the Ball and the Eiffel Tower. If the room view overlooks Epcot, it should be right in front of them. Scheduled is 10am eastern.
