Oh Great Wise One....Why do women like to shop?

I have it on good authority, or the horse's mouth, that YOUR WIFE does NOT like to shop! So take that back!

DD and her DH were thinking about applying for a job at the dairy part there.

You mean at Youngs? Great ppl there. Mike sees one of the son's kids.

He has stool hanging from his butt....

Ok, Ok, I can't leave you with that without explaining. One day, a few years ago, we went to Youngs and watched them milk the cows....and Jay Young had this cool contraption which strapped around his waist...it was a small stool with just one leg...and when he sat down, that leg and his two real legs made a tripod so he was able to milk the cows and take his little seat with him all the time....

fast forward a few weeks and we're eating ice cream at Graeters (mmmmmmm) and Mike is trying to tell the kids that Jay Young's wife just had a baby and that he is the pediatrician. The kids cannot remember who "Jay Young" is so Mike is explaining and it went something like this....
"You know, Jay Young....the guy who milks the cows at Youngs Jersey Dairy"
(blank stares)
"You know, the guy we saw a few weeks ago milking the cows at Youngs."
(blank stares)
"You know, the guy with the stool hanging from his butt."

(BURST OUT LAUGHING HERE AND HAVE ICE CREAM COME OUT YOUR NOSE)
Of course everyone else in the place wondered why we couldn't breath and we turned 18 shades of red!!!

I have to go. My DD, who is never ready when WE want to go anywhere, is telling me that I'm keeping her waiting. We're going to go see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

I'm hanging out at the library...no, not to get the new HP book. Kids are in acting and it's a 1/2 day b/c they have their performance at noon. So no use in me driving 30 minutes home just to spend a couple hours there and then come back. I'm excited for this performance. They are doing Seussical! Should be fun.

Librarians here all seem pretty calm even with the impending HP release. They are all wearing riot gear though...that's the only difference.

Our libraries are pretty calm - the holds on HP are over 700 - so, no one will be trying to check it out...

Yep, that's the place. She, her DH and kids went to visit SIL in Cinci and found out about this place. She sent me the website. She's trying to talk her boss into turning his dairy in Eastern Illinois into something like that. . They already give out Prairie Farms ice cream to the school tour groups.

Our library director was just informed by the post office that the library copies of the HP books are there, but can't be picked up until the post office opens tomorrow morning . No early release perks for this one.

I'm sorry, but this made me LOL....poor kitty.....
Megan used to blow up like a balloon around cats....then we got Spice, and after a while (not long, really) she built up immunities to her. Oddly, other cats would still make her swell up, but no Spice. And now she has two cats of her own. I hope this holds true for Nick.

Now that is unfortunate!! Meagan is allergic to spices!!

Eating wouldn't be the same.......

We opened Sound of Music last night to the largest crowd the theatre group has ever had on an opening night...Still can't figure out how nuns could stand wearing the full habit...

Mickeymo, happy to find someone else who is also into theatre. My DW has played Mother Abbess twice for different community theater groups. The first time, I played keyboard in the orchestra and the second time I conducted the orchestra. It was thrilling to hold my hand out and have a stage full of voices and eleven intrumentalists join in making music together. We both loved doing this stuff, but haven't done much since DD5 came along. DW has been involved in either acting, singing, musical directing or directing over 40 shows since college, mostly musicals.

What do you do for your theatre group?

The same reason that you MEN can get online, check out lots of neat, EXPENSIVE gadgets almost EXACTLY like the ones you already have, and pay too much for them, only to find they are obsolete before the car/truck/jeep is back in the driveway!!!!!!

Different methods, same expensive outcome.

I thought it was to contribute to the ecomony!!
