Here a little something for your amusement:

Recently I received a warning about the use of this politically incorrect term, so please note: We all need to be more sensitive in our choice of words.

I have been informed the Islamic terrorists, who hate our guts and want to kill us, do not like to be called "Towel Heads" since the item they wear on their heads is not actually a towel, but in fact, a small folded sheet.

Therefore, from this point forward, please refer to them as "Little Sheet Heads."

Thank you for your support and compliance on this delicate matter.

Yes sir!

Mickeymo, your group sounds great. Please say hello to John for me. I am (almost) never an onstage person myself, either, although I do sing bass in my church choir. In theater, I either worked lights, sound, conducted or played keyboard in the orchestra. Small world! Maybe we can meet up on the cruise to talk about theatre stuff sometime.

chip&dale&fun, what connection do you have to theater?

kikipug, glad to know another 2nd deck neighbor.

Long story - hum...short version....hum....nope needs long version....ok I have stood in line for HP tonight and no version is forthcoming - connection is via lifeline to long tme adopted borthers, friends and a bit of dabbling myself....longeer version on board. :wizard:

:ssst: OK, I'll come clean, too. We anti-HP also. Saw one of the movies with the boys, probably the first one, and never asked to see another. Or the books. Couldn't care less. Doesn't thrill us either.

So, I won't have to wonder why everyone is busy this weekend. More room in the pool....:cool1:

TTFN,
Maria

insert smilie of a rasberry - but we love you anyway!

Gunka, you beat me to the movie review. Alicia had to audition for her dance team tonight, just a formality.

We liked it too. We saw it with a full house, and nobody else was laughing much, guess they thought it was a drama. I was surprised that they used the Willy Wonka theme song, since it wasn't supposed to be a "remake", but not the Oompa Loompa song (which I missed). Johnny Depp is a chameleon, isn't he?

Saw it too,- It wasn't as dark as I expected it to be (for a Tim Burton movie) - it was good. I was suprised, because I wasn't expecting to like it too much since I am a huge fan of the original. From what I remember of the book, it held pretty close to the book. The Oompa Loompa songs were from the book, I do remember - and Dahl got the lyric credit for those.

Good Morning, Cruisers!!!

:rotfl: I beat Mary for once!!! :rotfl: - or does college rules apply? - the next day doesn't start until after you've fallen asleep regardless of what time the clock says...

For newcomers and all other fellow cruisers: The web page has been updated with all the basics for the cruise. If there is anything else you would like to see there please don't hesitate to contact me.

Enjoy!

Good morning Cruisers!
We sail in 47 weeks!

Woo Hoo - Another week closer to cruising! Since Monica has already said Good Morning and it is now Saturday where I am I might as well do the weekly countdown!

Have a great day everyone!

Has anyone here ever participated in the Friday night cruise chat mentioned in the sticky at the top of the main DCL board? I actually have the house to myself tonight and was thinking of joining in for the first time. What do you guys think?

Thomprod, what part of MI are you from?

DW and I both grew up and spent 35 years in MI.

I like it too.

Last night I had some Sandman Tawny Port while sitting in Key West at Gaylord Palms.

I have never meet a port that I did not like.

Have you tried Bin 27?

The family is home. My summer vacation is over. I ended by having dinner with the Neighbors at Gaylord Palms. Nothing like sitting in the Boat at Key West with some drinks and food.

DS announced that he might not have time to get his chores done today because he wants to get on line and take his drivers test for his permit.

Please keep us in your prayers!

Jim,

Glad to hear everyone is home! When does Lisa leave for gymnastics camp? You are one busy family!

Good luck to Matt (and you and Sharon) with the driving.

We're all up this morning. Bruce has already left for his long run this morning & won't be home until 10 or 10:30.

We had a very bad thunderstorm yesterday afternoon. So, I turned off the "good" computer. You know, the one with all of our pictures, movies, etc. on it. After the t'storm passed, I turned it back on and we went out to dinner. This morning I went to get on it & NOTHING!!! AAAACK!!! The girls have a birthday party to go to this afternoon. Bruce thought he'd come too but now will probably be home working on getting the darn thing to boot! I don't even want to ask when was the last time he burned pics to a CD.

Off to see what the girls want to have for breakfast this morning. I guess all of you HP fans are reading by now.

We live in Waterford, northwest of Detroit, in the south eastern lower peninsula for those who are geographically challenged (that's a mouthful) ;) . I was born in Burbank, CA but my family moved here when I was 7. DW grew up north of Port Huron in the "thumb" of the mit. Where did you live?
