Not really. It was amusing to me, I was trying to have a conversation, but you were busy replying to posts four pages prior...... :rotfl2:

I'd love to have one.

We know the inventor (Dean Kamen) through our former 'political campaign volunteer' life back in NH. He's rather eccentric, but probably the most brilliant person I'll ever meet.

He also invented the portable dialysis machine, and lots of other really cool stuff... and has revitalized the old millyards in Manchester NH, opening a neat science museum there, too, which is the birthplace of the "US First" robotics competition that has become a big deal in schools across the country.

When the Segway was first unveiled, the hype up there was unbelievable!!!

Yes, pork recipe please.
I won't fuddle with Creme Brulee here. If I want it, I'll just book another cruise! :earseek:

Decided to post rather than PM in case someone else is interested. This is from Southern Living Easy Weeknight Favorites cookbook.

Molasses-Grilled Pork Tenderloin

Prep: 5 minutes
Marinate: 8 hours
Grill: 20 minutes

1/2 cup molasses
1/4 cup coarse-grained Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar or white vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
4 (3/4-pound) pork tenderloins
Vegetable cooking spray

Combine first 4 ingredients; brush half of mixture over pork. Cover and chill 8 hours. Chill remaining molasses glaze.

Coat grill rack with cooking spray; place on grill over medium-hot coals (350-400 degrees). Place pork on rack; grill, covered with grill lid, 18-20 minutes or until a meat thermometer inserted into thickest portion registers 160 degrees, turning once and basting with reserved molasses glaze during last 8 minutes.

Yield: 8 servings

Serve this darkly glazed grilled pork to company. Pair it with grilled vegetables and a spicy red wine.

Looking for a shortcut? Grill the tenderloins as soon as you've glazed them. You don't have to marinate them.

You know if we lived in FL, or AZ, or NM I could see it, but not around here. For one thing there are just so many months during the year you could use it. For another the drivers up here are nuts and we'd get run over and you can use any type of motor driven machines on the bike paths.

Besides the Member Cruise is our anniversary present to each other.

A question for the lurkers on the thread - please post an answer to this if you will.

Now this isn't for those of us who post all the time, rather for those who I think might be lurking and not posting. Simple question - why?

I see people on the main cruise board who have this cruise booked. In checking out their profile I see that they have posted on this thread once or twice but then not again. So I'm wondering why?

I would hope that those of us who post a lot and have gotten to know each other through posting would agree that it makes the cruise experience even better. So I'm curious why others wouldn't post.

The floor (and thread) are open. We'd love to hear from you even if it is to say that posting just isn't your thing.

Hi, Mary & All,

I am one of the lurkers who originally posted on this board shortly after we booked our Double Scoop cruise last September, and then didn't get back to the board until just recently.

My name is Susie and will be cruising with my DS Andy who will be 17 and just graduated from high school at the time of the cruise - it is his graduation gift! We have cruised twice before on the Wonder, and have another 4-day booked for this October during his fall break from school. So our May 2006 cruise will be our first 7-day, and (hopefully) not our last.

As to why I haven't posted more, there is no real reason. But, I am going to stop in on this "meets" board much more often and try toget to know everyone!

Thanks,Mary, for your post.

There will be others on board approximately your son's age, maybe they will like hanging out together.

Come on back and post more!!

Ok, what was I saying?

Oh yeah...Virgil...spoke with my sister...her August looks like my July....a couple of free days here and there. We *may* go down to her place starting the weekend of August 13th if she decides not to jet off to LA the following week. We also *may* start down on the 20th or 21st....

What's it look like for you on either the 13th, 14th or 20th or 21st?

Of course, these are very tenative right now...

Do you even READ this thread anymore? Maybe I should PM you instead!?!?!?

Some of us 10 dayers purchased, through Shirley, a Spode Christmas tree complete with lights and ornaments. It added a nice Christmasy touch to the stateroom.

Weelllll......SOME people were FLYING home and had NO way to get their beloved tree home. SOME people were DRIVING home and had extra room to haul other people's trees home! :)

We were glad we could do it.....now, if we could just plan a time to meet. My basement is a WRECK and I'm thinking if I could *just* get this tree out of there it'd look SOOOOOOOO much better (it's 2 feet tall!) ;)

I know I know - it takes up sooooo much space.... and is sooooo tacky looking....

Susie - great to hear from you! I hope you do come back often. Also if you want to be included in the photo gallery (click the 5/27 link below to see it) we'd love to have you. Just send me the info and picture to marygums@monorailgreen.info Please be sure and put the May 27th cruise in the subject as I'm doing photo galleries for two cruises at the moment.

I'm so happy that my post brought you out of lurking!

Oh, just joshin' ya, Virgil. If you saw my basement you'd know one little Christmas tree isn't what's making it a wreck!

Off to bed for me. Camp meeting went well. I'm planning on sneaking large amounts of Benadryl and hard liquor into camp so I'll at least feel really good. If that doesn't work, I'll give it to the kids so they sleep.

of course, just kiddin! :)

Hi,

My name is Maria and I'm not a TRUE lurker, but sometimes I feel like one. Especially after reading 7 pages from yesturday. WWWhhheeewww!!! You guys can type. I guess I just have to check out the boards more than once a day.

My DS, A.J. had a travel baseball game tonight and we won. Like how I said "WE". Sometimes I feel I put as much into these games as the kids do. With packing the cooler, driving to the game to be on time, the yelling and encouragement...it's enough to make a parent crazy. Or drink heavily. When you get to know me, you'll find out that I'm NOT a big drinker. Anyway, I'm exhausted from the game tonight but wanted to post a little something.

I just can't believe that in 11 months, we will be cruising together. A lot of you guys get to go on numerous cruises, WDW vacations and it makes me jealous. Being in NY doesn't help when most of you live close enough to WDW to drive there. That must be a great feeling. When I first starting posting or lurking on these boards, I couldn't get over how many times a year some people visited WDW or cruised. I thought how the he** do they afford that? Then I learned about the AP and living in close proximaty(?) to Florida. Anyway, I'm glad I started to post and I'm REALLY glad there was a Cruise Meet board for this cruise. And very glad to have "met" all you nice people. Can't wait to meet you face to face.

OK, I will be signing off for the evening now. Carry on all you blabbermouths....:) and I say that in the nicest way possible.

TTFN,
Maria :flower:

Maria, I really miss your postings! I wish you would check in more often, but I certainly understand with everything you have going on with the house! Doon't feel bad, I get jealous too! Believe me, if I did not live 400 miles away from WDW I would not be able to get there, at all probably.....as far as cruising goes, unfortunately I am a wee bit addicted. It has gotten to the point that I have decided I like cruising as a family, better than WDW as a family. It is just so much more relaxing.
