I have always been jealous of sisters that have a close relationship. My Mom had three sisters, they always stayed really close. I just got brothers.

Just spoke to Kevin. He said it's probably the pump, and told me which one to buy at the Mother Ship. He said the neighbor would be glad to put it in for me. In other words, he wants it to be cool when he gets home.

No sisters here, either. Just the two older brothers. I never felt that I missed anything until I got older. I sure did have a lot of girlfriends growing up, though. LOL Onc they found out that I was Mark or Scott's little sister, they were all over me! Needless to say, they weren't very good friendships!
None of you gals know my brothers, do you??? I might get suspicious of our friendship!

They were cute when they were younger. Now they look just like all the other 50+ year old men. Except THEY got the skinny gene!!

My sister and I are 6 years apart (she's older)... she mothered me to death when I was a kid, and we fought like crazy, but we were inseperable. Even when she was in high school, she took me everywhere with her... willingly! We have lived FAR apart since 1984 (except for the 6 months that her family lived with Ray and I in 1991), but we talk almost daily, and cherish the few times a year that we're together. (And make total idiots of ourselves the whole time too... to the point that our DH's just shake their heads and slowly back away.)

My brother and I are close too... he's 7 years older than me... he's more insane than his 2 little sis' combined!!!!

Hey, Sharon, did you get a call yesterday from the guys? Just wondering if your family lets you know when they get back from scary dives.

Matt called and said "We're alive and doing stuff with people". He called again today to say they would be home by 8 or so. I think they had a good time. I'll know more later this evening. I'm off to church for the youth group meeting to plan the youth's annual trip to WDW for "Night of Joy".

Is Lisa excited about tomorrow? Elizabeth's clothes are out, her bag is packed, and she is READY TO GO!!! (And driving me crazy)!!

The backpack is packed, the clothes are layed out, "Packed Dinner" before gym is made, and she is ready to go. (If only every other night of the year I could post the same facts!!!)

Have fun at the Duff concert. My daughter would love to go to one of her concerts. Of course she is not 14 and almost 11. We just got through cleaning out her closet. She can't wear one pair of the jeans she wore last year. She has shot up this summer. Of course she hasn't gotten any bigger around the middle, so clothes are hard to find. I did find her some nice pants at the Gap in a line called Long and Lean, plus a slim as well, with the buttons on the inside they can take in. I think those will work nicely. The skorts at Old Navy also came in slim sizes with the buttons around the waist to take them in.

Sharon, did you ever find Lisa clothes to fit. I had to buy Ashley's capris and shorts in a size 7. The 6x would have fit, but I really didn't want to send her to Middle School in a 6X. Our first day is this Friday and she is really excited. We rented her a Clarinet to play in Band on Friday. Now she thinks she is all set.

Sharon, did you ever find Lisa clothes to fit. I had to buy Ashley's capris and shorts in a size 7. The 6x would have fit, but I really didn't want to send her to Middle School in a 6X. Our first day is this Friday and she is really excited. We rented her a Clarinet to play in Band on Friday. Now she thinks she is all set.

Well, Lisa will be going to Middle School in a 6X (or 7 slim in some cases). I had to buy Lisa a pair of boys paints, dress shirt & tie this summer for a "talent show number" with her teammates at gymnastics camp this summer - those items fit her better than the clothes in the girls section. I have shrunk Lisa's Gym Clothes as much as possible. She tried them on again today. If she tucks in her Gym Shirt and double rolls her shorts (which she does all the time anyways), it's not "too" bad. If she's ok with it, so am I.

Lisa has her flute ready for intermediate Band this year.

We'll have to do some last minute shopping before school starts on Thursday. Jared only needs a new backpack, we got all of his other supplies before we left for WDW.

Jordan is claiming she needs new clothes, but she got some before the cruise and some before WDW....so she's out of luck. We do still have to go to school and buy her books and get a supply list.

No more cruising for me! I just paid the July electric bill The highest one we've had since the year 2000. Yes, I keep track......all the way back to 1987 when we bought the house. Maybe we should just leave town for the entire month of July next year. It's too expensive to cool the house when we're home.
OR.....here's an idea we could turn the air up during the day, and spend all day at the mall!! I wonder if that would be cheaper??

Caleb will start band this year. He's been flip-flopping on what instrument he wants to play. Last time I asked it was the trumpet. I feel for you having a hard time to get clothes to fit an almost 11 year-old. Unfortunately I have the opposite problem. Caleb is a big boy. I can't even shop in the boy's department anymore. He's be 11 on the 11th next month and is in men's medium. The problem I'll have is with jeans/pants. I don't think I'll be able to find a men's 32 waist with a short enough length. And I was just looking at pics from our WDW vacation 3 years ago when he was wearing 10 slim! We only need to find some cheap gym shoes and he'll be set for next week.

Well, that would work for me. Our mall doesn't have much to choose from, and I'm not that much of a shopper...too depressing trying on those clothes after all of mine from last year 'shrunk'.
