Hey everyone, just wanted to let everyone know that after 24 hours in the car with 5 kids and a DH we made it to Colorado Springs safely, and with allehee 5 kids till intact, I might add!!teehee

Glad to hear that you made it safely and that you still have all 5 kids! ;) How long are you staying? I'm sure you mentioned but don't remember. Enjoy yourself (as much as you can - we all know parents drive us crazy sometime!)

I am surprised that they sent her home as "sleepy" as they did. The ER physician in me wonders what they gave her - I would've used Ketamine for something like this - and she should have been awake prior to discharge.....

Virgil,

I looked on the papers. They gave Emily "TYL CODEINE 1 1/2 TSP" and 'NASAL VERSED PRN 8 MG". She weighs 16.4 kg (36 lbs.).

My favorite drug. I prefer mine IV, of course. I've had it a couple of times for procedures and it sure does make me loopy...and seeing double....and unable to sit and stand....but I haven't a care in the world!!! :)

Hmmmm - don't necessarily agree......

If it was teaching program - you might end up with an intern or resident who was "on-call" for plastics.....

Good, good point.

And I only made the medical comment to see if I could get you out of the woodwork, don't ya know??

and now to see if someone will pirate: the top!

ARRRRGGGGHHHHH! ;)

Need help from Scuba family.....

I know you'll know this....

We just realized we'd be at WDW for the Night of Joy concerts. We were wondering what's involved with them....

are the rides operating? all or just some?
do they broadcast the music throughout the park or do you have to be in tomorrowland to hear it? (the stage is in tomorrowland, right?)
is one night ok, or is two nights better?
TIA!!!!

Ok there is a high probolbility that I will be there too with my church group, we go every year. Yes all of the rides are open (some lines are longer then others but overall the lines are shorther than normal), they have live bands playing through out the whole park not just tomorrowland. Both night will be diffrent because there are diffrent bands each night. I don't knbow if you know this or not but the bands are all christian rock, but are still very good.

Doin' the doc dance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DHL brought them this afternoon. This is for our Bermuda cruise in August. I love cruising from Baltimore(just wish it could be Magic and with my Dis friends).

Thanks, Matt! I knew you went every year....that's why I figured I'd ask the Scuba family. Maybe the whole family needs to come this year....drag Lisa along and she can hang with KT for the evening! :)

I think lisa is coming this year because she is now old enough for our churchs youth group, wich goes from middle school to high school. :cool1:

Really good news! We are going to the Performing Arts HS in the morning to register Alicia for 9th grade! There's an opening, we got the call today. Long summer of uncertainty, but it finally paid off. I'm so relieved. So tomorrow will be registration, hair appointments, shopping for school supplies. Got to get ready now, school starts two days after she returns from the dive trip.

It is a separate 'ticketed' event though, correct??? We are going at least one night, and probably hitting Universal one night (I'll probably be chaperoning our youth group there)... Karen- didn't know you would be back in town then... maybe we'll get to meet you guys??

No, your eyes aren't deceiving you... I AM actually on at 12:31AM... just getting back to my room... I'm in West Palm on business... if you can really call it that. (Though we DID give our parent company a good deal of business tonight.) I would have liked to eat at Schula's tonight, but we were 'hosting' the reception, so it was catered 'BBQ' food... really not bad though. Now I'm just catching up on everything that I missed today (yesterday)... like stitches, demon kitties, and an uneventful ride to Colorado.

We literally ran into a rather large gator today... out walking on a 1/2 hour break before dinner... some of my counterparts and I walked over this 'picturesque' bridge on the golf course, to come face to face with a 7 ft gator, mouth wide open. He eventually decided to go back into the water hole that he came from, thank goodness!! (All I could think of was Little Red Riding Hood... Grandma, what big teeth you have!)

Time for me to get some sleep before I am so rudely awakened by breakfast in the AM... oh wait... it is the AM....

Yes it is a separate ticketed event but I'm not sure if annual or seasonal pass holders can get in for free. :confused3

:flower1: Good morning cruisers! :flower1:

Happy Tuesday!

Amanda - glad to hear you made it out safely. Enjoy!

Diana - congrats to Alicia on getting in the performing arts school.

No...I don't think they can. I think Mike told me that AP holders get a discount ...uh...$31 a night possibly. (?)

We'll definitely be there the 2nd night b/c the newsboys are performing....

when the toast is burning, all the milk has turned and captain crunch is waving farewell.....when the big one finds you let this song remind you that they don't serve breakfast in hell..... :)

Congratulations, Alicia!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WAY TO GO!!! :cool1:  :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :bounce: :jumping1: :rockband: :jumping3: :jumping2: :thewave: :dancer:

(had to pass 40 seconds SOMEHOW!!!)
