So, how is the weather over in Daytona these days?? Have you seen the sun??

No sun over the weekend. Cloundy with just a little rain. We were to far east of the storm to get the big bands of rain.

Today it is back to normal sunny skies.

I am off to Fort Lauderdale for a quick trip. No diving on this one. The water will be pretty stirred up because of all the wind.

Back to work for me. I've got lots of laundry to do this week too as I didn't do as much with company over.

I never thought I'd say this, but I'm almost glad the weekend's over. Let's see... we listed the house, and its officially online this morning. (Not sure I'm liking that... starting to have second thoughts... but we'll see- we have a couple of offers out on other houses- I'll feel better once I have an idea where exactly we're going).

Spent the whole weekend with some nasty stomach-funk. Went to a surprise brunch yesterday, with the intent of coming home and finishing the cleanup that wasn't done while I was too busy being sick. I get halfway home, my cellphone rings... it's Ray... we've got our first showing in less than an HOUR!!!!!! (the sign hadn't even been up for a day yet). Mad dash home, hide every remaining ounce of mess ANYWHERE, throw the dog and the kids in the truck, and take off, driving around aimlessly with nothing to do... hard to do much with a 75 lb dog in the truck. (Only to find out later that the woman takes 2 steps into the house, says "They're all the same" and leaves. Whatever???!!!!)

So, Monday morning at the office might prove to be peace and quiet!!!

I absolutely HATE moving (I even have my own truck, or two)!!! The amount of stuff that we accumulate during a few years is amazing to me. Having to have the house,white glove clean the entire time it's on the market is stressful too.

I need to get cleaning today, but have to hang out at the library even though it's closed. I put the library as my delivery address for my new computer, thinking that the odds were that I'd be there working instead of at home. So what does UPS delivery date say? Today, of course, when no one will be there to sign for it...We camped in our pop-up most of last week. Now I know why we had our 24 foot travel trailer. I've come to the conclusion that even though I camped in a pop-up 10 years ago, doesn't mean that I can do it now. We've only had it out once and are already trying to decide between a fifth-wheel or a class C motorhome. I miss my own bathroom around 2:30 in the morning.

DH had to go back to work today after taking vacation last week. That alarm at 5 a.m. sure was rude. At least we're supposed to get rain for the next 3 days from the leftovers of Dennis. Hope everyone has a great week. KikiKaren, I know what you're going through with showing your house. We had ours on the market a couple of years ago for about 6 months (until our kitchen flooded) and had several showings, but not one offer. Housing market in our area is really slow. We've decided to stay put at least until DS leaves for college. We really have too much house for us (4 bedrooms) and we've accumulated lots of STUFF. Youngest DD still has stuff here, too, since she's in a small 1 bed apt.

Hi Folks - back after a very sombering weekend - at the hospital with friend and her dad. On the trip home I saw convoy after convoy of emergency vehicles for Hurricane Dennis relief efforts. They say the storm was not as bad as feared. Let's hope not.

Anyway, lots of posts to catch up on and after this weekend, I am looking forward to mindless Fluff, so I hope you all were busy and do not disappoint.

On a 'puter note - DH ordered DSL line for the home - I guess too many half-downloaded pictures of Scoopie scared him.

HI all!!!!

Looks like everyone was busy this past weekend. Me included. Lots of construction going on. DH making holes all over for the plumbing. CAC(central A/C) guy was here and we're all set. Bad news...we can't turn on the CAC until after we paint which might as well be wintertime. DH says maybe late August. So, we may get the benefit of CAC this season for a short time. Order cabinets (oh, I told you that already), ordered appliances. Went with the 25 cu.ft. French door Amana refrigerator. Got an awesome price at a hardware store that a friend of mine referred me to. Come to find out that the salesman is the OWNER of the store. Yiipppeee for me. The cabinets are scheduled to be delivered on July 21st which we are going to have to push back. (Gotta remind myself to call and reschedule) We should be ready to have framing inspection and then insulation and sheet rock within the month?? Let's see how close we actually get to that. Don't forget, we're going to Niagara falls/Toronto in the beginning of August. LET'S GO YANKEES!!

Anyway, love to chat wil y'all but I have to pick up the kids from camp and then we're going to the town pool with a bunch of friends. Wish you guys could join us. Soon enough!!!!

DH will be wearing a Tux, presently debating hauling one from home or renting on board. I was interested in the comment about the traditional Japanese dresses as I love that style. Doesn't fit as DH can attest to after spending hours with me in China at Epcot. The pattern search is still on....We will see. Cajun girl, I'm not spending $200! Your dress is gorgeous, wish I had it! But please tell me it is "forma". Looks formal to me....
