Monica, I sent you a pm before I read up on these posts. We will gladly take scoopie twice. Hopefully over the 4th of July we will be in Austin and we can get a great picture of him at the one and only "University of Texas" campus in Austin.

Do any of you have recommendations for don't miss restaurants at WDW. I purchased the DDE card and would like to eat at some different places while we are there. Let's hear what you guys think are the best sit down places.

In Magic Kindgom Liberty Tree Tavern is our favorite. Dinner is an all you can eat character meal - very good. Lunch is off the menu and also very good.

In Epcot our favorite has always been LeCellier. We did Coral Reef for the first time this December and really liked it (and will be doing it again in June). Rose and Crown is also good (and also on the plan for June).

At the Yacht Club (which is a short walk from Epcot) there is also Yachtsman Steakhouse - one of my all time favorites!

Started laying out clothes yesterday for our trip. Need to get some major planning done for leaving next week. Kids still don't know, so it is a little difficult packing for them without them figuring out where we are going.

That's not hard around here. I just do laundry and don't put all of it away. It's never a stretch for them to believe that mom hasn't put away the laundry for a week!

Ditto on the Liberty Tree Tavern - I had lunch there last year as part of our Keys to the Kingdom Tour - the Grilled Chicken Salad was wonderful!

actually, this is one of our favorite places. we LOVE their skillet breakfast!!

50's prime time diner (MGM)
Cinderella's royal table (MK)
Teppenyaki (Epcot)
Hoop-de-do (Campground--DDE only works for late show)
Chef Mickey's (Contemporary)
Boma for Breakfast (Animal Kingdom Lodge)
Garden Grill (Epcot)---they have a new Dessert Fondue....save yourself time...order TWO right from the get go.

OH MY!! Monica and I are *nearly* related!!!

She went to school with a lady who lives in my town. This lady's daughter took ballet with MY daughter!!! They were in the recent recital together. KT was pirate king, her daughter was a policeman! (Pirates of Penzance)

Wow. It truly is a small world!!!!

Does anyone have a copy of the prototype of our Double Scoop logo stored on the computer ? There's too many pages to flip back through on the thread. If you've got it handy just post it on the thread - and I'll add it on Scoopie's website...

Other than that it's finished!!! - Well, it will always be a work in progress with Scoopie's travel journal...Now it's John's turn to figure out how to launch it...

Oh...yeah, forgot about LeCellier. Mmmmmm steaks. And a GREAT atmosphere. We weren't impressed with Coral Reef. Could have been since we were as far from the tank as you could get and our service stunk. Did Rose and Crown for the first time this last trip and LOVED it. Of course, KT with her British accent had fun there speaking with the CM's!

We used our DDE card on our recent trip and saved over $150 in meals!!
Btw, forgot...Teppenyaki doesn't honor the DDE--but if you go, go for lunch. Still a TON of food and much cheaper!!

Lady???!!!! Lady???!!! Oh great - Julia and I are the same age -I'm not old enough be associated with a Lady!!!! It's the same feeling as when I figured out that I was the same age when the original 1st Star Wars (#4 or "A New Hope" for the newer generation) as ds is now - sigh!!!

Also like the restaurant on the top of the Contemporary - Can't remember the name - the former "Top of the World" - love sitting at the counter in front of the sushi bar - they'll slip you samples or ends off of the sushi rolls. One of the sushi chefs even swiped a HUGE scallop off of the grill so John could try his hot sauce...

Sitting in front of the dessert counter is fun to watch the prep work. They usually are too busy to talk, though. But, you get a great view of the kitchen and the chefs at work.

The food is outstanding! I had the grilled tuna last year with creme brulee for dessert - had to call John to rub it in (it was a girl's weekend at the world...)
