Last day of the work week for me! Making a solo trip to CT for the weekend to attend my niece's college graduation... then she's flying back here with me for 10 days to soak up some FL before trying to figure out what she's going to do with her life.

I know most of you have already gone to bed, but it is still early here in Mountain Standard Time. We are taking my dad in early tomorrow morning (leaving house at 5:30 a.m.) for his tests at the hospital. They are doing the angiogram to determine how bad the blockages are. For everyone who believes, please say a little prayer. I am hoping and praying that this won't be as serious as 9 years ago when he had to have quintuple bypass.

I will post when I know more tomorrow.

It was already 74 on my drive into work this morning.... so 70's for a HIGH is NOT warm!!! (I've become a cold-weather wuss in 23 short months!!)

I was born and raised in Meriden, which is 1/2way between Hartford and New Haven.

It will be a crazy short trip this time, but I am looking forward to a few days with my sister! I also looked up an old friend that I haven't seen since 1985- we're having lunch Friday. Friday night, my younger niece is in a concert, and my nephew has a one-man art show (thankfully both at the same school), so I've got to do the 'equal time to all 3 kids' deal.

Having just spent 2 1/2 weeks in the beautiful FL sunshine and coming back to 70's, I'd say go ahead and !! I miss the feeling of going outside and feeling the heat penetrate to my bones. Now I put on a sweatshirt and am still a bit chilly!

Don't remind me... Saturday morning coffee by the pool will DEFINITELY be out of the question this weekend. (Especially because Mom's pool still has a cover on it... I think the ice has melted, though!).

Hi everyone. Just came home from the hospital. My dad's procedure went very well this morning. Stints had to be placed in two the arteries they had grafted (??) 8 years ago when he had bypass. Another stint in a new arterie, but he is doing well. They will keep him in CCU tonight and hopefully if all goes well, he will come home tomorrow. Of course, they don't want him traveling for at least 2 weeks, so my parents 1 week visit will now turn into 5 weeks. Looks like they will be leaving the week before we go to disney.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I am just so thankful that he didn't have to have by-pass surgery again and he recognized the signs early on. Two arteries were almost completely blocked, so luckily they fixed him up before he had a heart attack.

I came home to get the kids from school. DS has his band banquet at 6:00 p.m. and DD is going to a middle school band concert with friends so that I can go back up to the hospital and stay a while before bringing my mom back to the house tonight.

Don't you live in Georgia ?? My DH is down there near someplace called Glencoe(??) not sure of the spelling. He said it is very hot and humid. Told him that he is preparing for our 9 days at WDW.
