Actually, we cannot go. It was a fantasy for a few minutes, since I had to go check it out. We have too many other trips to pay for.

At our family summer planning meeting Matt and I both voted diving Speigel Grove in Key Largo as our Number 1 item. And here Kevin is going and not even telling me about it.

Diana, You are right "No Banfi for Kevin" I was going to take some to Fort Lauderdale with us, but have to rethink that now. It sure would have been nice to sit on the beach and drink Banfi.

My internet connection was down all day - so, I no choice but to get work done around the house...now, I know I'm addicted to DIS- I kept plugging and unplugging the connection, turning on and off the computer - but, still no luck - it was driving me crazy!!!

Our local dive shop is putting a trip on to Key Largo for the first week end before school starts again. I am going to lead the trip. I was SURE you might be interested, but since I might have to babysit (depending on who goes) I didn't want to get up hopes without knowing who is going.

Besides, I figured we would talk about it in a couple of weeks anyway.

Wow you just never know what little twists a day can bring. The new employee we hired about 5 weeks ago quit yesterday with 3 hours notice. This isn't some kid either, but a woman with 20 some years in the business. Oh well at least we aren't crazy busy like a month ago. Never a dull moment!

My parents are coming down for Christmas next year - and there's a possibility that my brother's family and also my best friend are coming too...no ship for us - only a 2000 sq foot house...2 bathrooms and 10 people...1st time in over 5 years...only the 2nd in 15 years we've all been together...Now, if we can manage not to kill each other THAT will be priceless - given the last two Christmas gatherings - I'm not holding my breath...

I know I'm a little late with this reply but.....isn't it nice to hear from someone other than a family member that you are doing a good job with your kids? It's makes it worth while that all that time that you put into your job as a parent is paying off slowly but surely. And, when someone tells you that your child is well behaved, curtious and respectful. That also makes me proud. See, they are listening to us. They just don't want us to know about it.


Have a great day everyone. I'm packing up my kitchen and clearing out the garage, which will be our new makeshift "kitchen". OMG If I could make it through this one, I could do ANYTHING!!!!

Maria, when we remodeled, I spent MONTHS with only the barbeque grill, the microwave in the family room, and the fridge in the dining room.....see if we ever "trade out" work again! Took twice (maybe 3 times) as long as it should have! I feel for ya!

The most we've stuffed into our 2500 sq ft 2 bath house is 10. And it's lucky we survived that. I can't believe I've been in AZ for 20 years and not once has the whole family decided to descend on us at the same time. (maybe they don't like me? LOL) THAT'S priceless!

Since we are the only ones here, we are always all alone at Christmas. And it just doesn't feel like Christmas to me, in Arizona. Sure, we could go to "Cold Country".....but no thanks. The Caribbean is much more appealing.

And boy, am I glad I'm not the only one with the brother!! Don't tell, but he's my favorite.

He's my favorite brother... oh wait- he's my ONLY brother. So I have a FAVORITE brother & a FAVORITE sister!

He is absolutely insane... never grew out of his class-clown role- and he's 44... no kids, so he gets to keep being one. I only see him a few times a year- he's the least reliable when it comes to family functions, but also the most fun when he IS there!! (Tho' I STILL haven't forgiven him for missing my graduation from Grad School 4 years ago today... but who's counting.)

He still plays hockey in the "under-30" league, because he says that the league ages should be based on how you feel... (BTW, he had his first-ever back-injury last week, and has learned that his brain might feel 17, but his back is somewhere around 72.)

Well, I'll be spoiled a little. Our Kitchen is being redirected to the garage. So, I'll have a 5 ft. piece of coutertop, refrig, stove and microwave. Real puuurrrtty. Livin' a little redneck for a while.


CONSTRUCTION UPDATE:

Roof is on back part of addition. The remaining roof is over new MBSuite. The lumber yard sent the wrong floor joists, so they will deliver the new ones tomorrow. Roofer is coming to shingle the new roof tomorrow and excavators to backfill around foundation. Then my husband, who works Full Time as a Union Plumber can catch up to these guys on the weekend. He needs to dig the footings for the new front porch so the carpenters can keep going.

Kitchens are the hardest room in the house to remodel. Since we use it every day of the year (except when we're cruisin'). The first thing to go is the sink, and the last thing to get put back in is the sink. We "use" the sink!!!
