John - you are fitting in just fine with this crazy group!

Just a quick hello to everyone from the "first ever 10 day Christmas Cruise"

I heard some of you were hanging out here, and was quite surprised to see how many of you are cruising together again. ( Thanks Mary for your Double Scoop Group list )
Quite the reunion......Hello all...........

OK.....It's got me motivated to check on availability.......I got in trouble the last time for booking without consulting the boss first.

My dive buddies are going as well.

Jim and Kevin, Matt and Alicia ....are you diving a Cenote in Costa Maya???????????

Hi Mark, Diana, Karen, Mike, Sharon, Lisa, Stacey, Jay, Virgil and Frances.

I think Andy is even on this one.......he wrote the postcards to the kids.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Gus and Family ( wishing we can go )

Well, then....come on, Gus!! Join us!

Hi everybody! Home from Las Vegas. Turned out to be a pretty interesting trip. Ended up going to see David Spade, even though I didn't think I'd like him, and he was really funny. Pretty different than what I'd thought.
I was involved in an incident in the casino at the Mirage where Security ended up hunting a guy down and kicking him out (he was staying at the hotel, too). Very scary and I hope it never happens to me again.

Spent today doing laundry (of course) and tomorrow....back to work.

Thanks for the great poem, Mary. I loved that!

Will try to catch up on posts in the morning....too blasted tired right now.

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

I just went back and read about "Scoopie". Darn, I wish I had known....Scoopie could have cruised the Mexican Riviera with us!! Can he be FedEx'ed overnight??

A shared T.O.P. with Stacey and Scoopie!!!

Wish you were going. Yes, we are diving where ever we can. Of course Kevin is the dive master for that trip. I just finished dive mastering our trip to Fort Lauderdale and am working on one for this weekend. He can make the arrangments for the cruise.

Shouldn't that have stayed in Vegas???? ;)

:flower1:Good morning cruisers!:flower1:

Happy Tuesday!

Hi Gus :wave2: nice to see you over here - wish you were cruising with us!

Stacey - welcome home. Scoopie is on his way to Sue's house. She's taking him on an Alaskan cruise! That lucky little Scoopie is going on a lot of cruises in the coming year!

Wishing you could go, too! I've got a few pins to trade with Jessica. Oh, heck, I never did trade with her....something about her just made me want to GIVE her pins!! :)

Good morning Karen! Usually don't see you on this early. Getting in some DIS time before the kdis get up?

its pouring here now... with thunder and lightning to match... it won't last though- just our usual post-90-degree pop up t-storm.

OK... so I lied... its now 10 hours later and STILL pouring, and darker than dark out!!!!! I think I passed Noah :boat: on the way to work this morning... major road flooding all the way; and my new car is much lower to the ground than my pickup was... thought for a minute there I'd float away!

Sorry to the Tink's who must be somewhere in the World during this crummy weather!:umbrella: (Hopefully this is the last of it for the week!) I've got everything lined up to surprise the kids with our mini-vacation on Thursday... now if I can just keep my mouth shut long enough!!!! So is anyone still planning on meeting this weekend, or did that not work out? :confused3

:scared1: Wow- Scoopie sure is HUGE!!!!!:rotfl2: I thought he might like a ride in the pace car at Daytona, but I don't think he'll fit... that Corvette is pretty small!!!

Well- its off to get some work done... or at least pretend... only 1 more work day after today

Good morning everyone. Seems like Monday here with DH having to get up at 5:15 am again after having 5 days off. We had beautiful weather here most of our long weekend, also. We did come home from a graduation party on Sunday to find our road blocked off. Our neighbor's farm implement business had burned to the ground. I had worked there part-time for a while, so it was very sad to see. To top it off, we had just taken our lawn tractor down there on Saturday because one of the blades had been falling off. Let's just say that we won't be mowing our lawn for awhile. Time for me to get going for my exciting job at the local library. Welcome John. I loved the pic of Scoopie at CC.

Just updating y'all on Scoopie's itinerary...Scoopie is pretty well booked for the summer - I'm trying to allow a week travel time just in case of delays...mid September through mid December are wide open...

Hey Mickeymo - Would Scoopie like to join Hedgie and DH for our cruise in November? I'm reading posts backwards, still trying to figure out how to PM you.....Anyway, let us know.

:sunny: This is the Sun.

:umbrella: This will not help in Florida.

:sad2: This is me after this morning's hurricane forecast. :confused3

Monica, can you pencil us in to have Scoopie the weekend on Feb. 17-20 (President's Day weekend). Hopefully I can convince DH to make the road trip to New Orleans for Mardi Gras time.

Angie

Irene - go to a post by Monica and right-click on her user name. In the upper left hand corner of her post. That will bring up a series of options one of which is to send a private message. Click on that - write your message - hit send!

Irene - what was the forecast this morning? Mark and I are on the Member Cruise that sails September 4-8th. We are driving down and hope to visit WDW one day before and two days after the cruise. I read somewhere on the board that the Farmer's Almanac said a hurricane would hit between September 1-7. Needless to say I'm hoping that isn't accurate.

Drug my sad (fat) butt out of bed today and went to Curves. :)

Do any of you have recommendations for don't miss restaurants at WDW. I purchased the DDE card and would like to eat at some different places while we are there. Let's hear what you guys think are the best sit down places.

Thanks,
Pam

Pam - might be a newbie on cruises but on DDE - we were year one members! OK - here goes.....

Resorts - #1 = Artiste Point - northwestern cuisine and wines $$$$ but worth every bite.
#2 = Boma - buffet style - Try everything you cannot pronounce - very unusual and wonderful and to walk it off, take a mid-night stroll and see all the animals!!!!

Epcot - MANY - Almost All!!!! Canada - Morroco - England - and if you go inside to the pub bar, instead of outside, they take the DDE for beers!!! Living Seas takes it but the aquarium needs major maintenance at the moment.

Animal Kingdom - Is it Bawaii Bar - use DDE for food, order African beer at bar, and sit and enjoy.
Remember also the Food Courts, where there is no sit - down resturant takes the card.

Kingdom - Liberty Tree TAvern and Castle.....

And Hoop De Doo Review - a Hoot....

#****** Victoria and Alberts, and piece de resistence, Chef's Table, although I heard they stopped taking DDE for V/S Chef's talbe. This is a trip in itself, and rarely for Dkids.
