sigh, I'm whining tonight...

John left for Chicago today, he'll be bringing the kids home Tuesday night. I don't think I've ever been home by myself alone for this long. It hasn't even been a day, and it's waaayyy too quiet... I'm bored... My friends can't play... It's raining...

I'm tired of doing these safety audits - had to pull more staff from duty today...I'm finding that 50% of the facilities aren't passing the safety audit.

Another aquatic director is spreading rumors, I forced her staff to complete the audit in thunder and lightning...

Can't see HP #5 until the kids come home, saving Hairspray for Sunday and a girls' night... I missed Pirates of the Caribbean tonight- maybe I'll do that tomorrow night... Any other movie suggestions for this weekend?

I have the movie "Night Listener" upstairs - guess I'll get in my comfy jammies and pop that in... And after that - finish the first season of Boston Legal

I know the feeling - Frances and Lauren are all moved - I'm living in the old house - I have a sofa bed, a tv and the internet. It's been 5 days and it's killing me.... I have until the end of August......

Forgot to post the good news - We sold the house!!! Well - at least we have it un der contract and they don't think that there are going to be any issues....

It works out great too, they need possession on August 29th with closing on August 30th... My last day of work is August 27th.

Just back from school shopping with Christopher... which is soooo much easier than school shopping with Elizabeth... 90 minutes and we were all done, including supplies! He walks over to the shirts, says I'll take this one and this one and this one and this one... same for shorts, socks, underwear, (too hot for pants til at least December)... if only girls were this easy!!!!

(I know... school doesn't start for almost a month... but FOOTBALL starts Monday and is 5 nights a week until September... so its now or never.)

At least my kids are not as picky b/c of "fashion trends!" No peers to tell them their off brand jeans are queer.

If my kids were homeschooled, I'd have a hard time getting them to wear anything but pajamas!!!!

As of Monday, Ray is instituting the "no one sleeps past 9AM rule"... THAT'S gonna go over big!! Thank God I am not a SAHM... it's going to be a battle!

That was the rule growing up!!! If we were up and watching TV, it had to go off at 9:00, too....

Didn't matter if we were out late... Mom always said, if we didn't want to sleep at night, we weren't sleeping during the day.... Church or Y lock-ins, didn't matter...9:00 No afternoon naps after lock-ins, either. Even after I graduated from college and before I got married, I even had a curfew and a wake time....Can't function at a full time job with a lack of sleep

Actually, I am surprised that he has let them sleep in all summer... they only thing I can figure is that because he works from home, at least if they are sleeping, he can get work done in peace... once they are awake and arguing, its harder to concentrate! They are SOOOOOO ready to go back to school... before they kill each other!

hee hee hee You are correct - what a great memory! We took a refresher in September of 2005 - after not diving since the late 70's.

As you said, took the plunge.

Hi everyone! I hope everyone is doing good and has had a great summer! I havent been around much as we have had a busy few months. In April,We decided it was finally time to sell our house, we listed it and got an offer 10 days later! After we accepted the offer on May2nd, we had to agree to closing in the 30th, we had to fins a house, pack our belongings and take our year long planned 2 week vacation to WDW!! It has been busy busy around here! We are getting settled in, we have a pool now and we love love love it!I dont spend nearly as much time on the PC as I used to!
