Not a whole lot going on around here lately, just trying to stay cool. Today wasn't bad actually, it was only 102°.

That's about what we're getting here. I thought Albuquerque is supposed to be cooler.

I know that smiley is supposed to be "scared", but that's about how I look mid-afternoon.

akkkkk!!!! In a brainless flurry of activity a few weeks ago when we were taking advantage of southwest's deals and changed our flights. I accidently made my flight to Chicago for tomorrow and the kids' flights for Thursday....

Flights are sold out - scrambling to check frequent flyer miles w/ continental and find a place for the kids. John's in meetings all day today and tomorrow - and I'm doing a safety audit for a Y. Fun times!!!

Maggie and Mike just may get their wish to fly without me... I hate to inconvenience my parents with two trips to Midway....

Hi All, we have been really busy and I haven't been on the boards in a while. We went to Austin before the 4th for a swim meet. and then when we got back, I was in charge of a 4 day swim meet here. Now that is over, and I have my first free weekend this weekend. Dale leaves next Wednesday for Canada and we leave the same day for Austin for the State Swimming Championships. When we get back from that on July 22, we will have just a little over a week before leaving for Houston (July 31) for the Southern Zone Championships. Ashley is really excited that she got selected to swim.

Monica -- we will be staying at the Embassy Suites at the Galleria and the swimming takes place at the UofH Campus Recreation Center. Is that part of town hard to get around in? Also, I will be flying into Austin and driving through College Station (college visit) before driving on to Houston. I hope this isn't too difficult. Never been to Houston before.

I think I've finally reached the "heighth of laziness".....I just requested an appointment with a doctor...online..... too darn lazy to pick up the phone and call !

The appointment is with an orthopedic doc for my heels. I can't stand it any longer.
Kind of nice, though, it's a huge office with several specialists. Like one-stop shopping. After I get my feet taken care of, I can have someone check out all my nasty "old-folk" joints.

Relatively new community - relatively young community....growing like crazy...never stayed there so not sure what it has to offer via attractions, shopping, resturants...???

Easy to get to, not close (really) to ocean. But closer than you are....It may be a commuter town?????


Never heard of anything bad or problems. Folks that live there like it..

Well, ssshhhh....don't tell anyone.....but I've been looking at houses in Florida. The ones there are quite affordable. But I'm guessing that it's smack in hurricane territory...??...but then, isn't ALL of Florida?

Since the SLR and DSLR have many different lens options, they can sell the camera without the lens, hence "Body Only". Most of the manufactures also sell some models, mostly the move up versions, not the pro models with a lens included. Those are usually called a "kit lens"

If you are looking in Florida....come north. Most people are trying to get out of anything south of I-4, except Sam and Irene.

It's just getting to be way to many people and it sure is a lot hotter.
