Plan to get there when the park opens... there's lots to do, and if you want to see it all, it really does take the whole day. Before the rope drop, they play the Star-Spangled Banner to start the day.

If you are roller coaster fans, DEFINITELY hit Kraaken first... that is my favorite coaster anywhere... I love the theming on Journey to Atlantis (same type of ride as Splash Mountain), but having been there so many times, I tend to skip it if I really don't feel like getting wet.

The shows really ARE all great... I've never been to the cat & dog show... just can't seem to justify watching housepets... but that's just me. Oddysea is GREAT for the heat of the afternoon... cool and air conditioned- really neat circque du soliel type show... even my son LOVED it... and I thought he'd be bored. Obviously, Shamu & Blue Horizons are must-see, too... don't miss them!

In terms of where to eat, our favorite is Voyagers Wood Fire Grill in the Waterfront area. Great brick oven pizza, fresh fruit, salads and other good stuff. Not burgers and dogs. (You'll find very few burgers and dogs at Sea World... even if you're looking for them!).

Be sure to check out the dolphin nursery, too... its off the beaten path, and a lot of people don't know it exists... its at the back of the waterfront area... its on the map, but most people miss it. Not sure if there are any new ones there right now, but there might be by the time you go. I haven't been since early February, and there weren't any new ones then.

You forgot to mention Beer School!!! :yay:

I passed you on Airport Road yesterday, and saw Jim running a few days ago... doesn't that count as a mini-meet?:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hmm... slow down... I wish! But your right... we do need to get together!

Hey... have you tried the new Italian restaurant that the guy who owns the Garlic (can't think of his name) opened... its on Ridgewood in South Daytona... called Fresh... we ate there Saturday night... very good!

We were going to Fresh last Saturday night, but ended up at JB's instead. I know, they are very close!

I have heard great things about Fresh. Maybe this weekend.

Looks like any day here that Jim is driving the Jeep... maybe that's why we have a fire warning now... Matt drives the jeep this summer...

That must be the reason for no rain. Matt is driving the Jeep instead of me.

When he is gone this Summer I'll drive it a few days so we can have some rain. ;)

Tonight Matt and I went and ordered his Tux for the Prom. He came away proud to be a guy because it only took 10 minutes unlike his date who is still looking for a dress.

I like that about Matt!! He can feel that way with absolutely NOTHING going one!!

You forgot to mention Beer School!!! :yay:

And they have changed it in the past year... its now more of a beer & food pairing session... which I think is a whole lot more practical knowledge for the general public than how the beechwood is shaved into curls to insure more surface area, blah, blah, blah... (see... all that stuff everyone learns at beer school, we actually get TESTED on!)

Hey Laura, are you lurking? Y'all ever fly to WDW? If so, is it worth it - time saved vs. money spent? Spirit Air is having a sale right now & the 4 of us can fly for $500. Just not sure how much time we'll actually save if do fly & take Disney's Magical Express.

I have been trying all morning to get my portable keyboard and the Palm to work so that I can still DIS from my Moms next week! Looks like I finally got it all sync'd. Stupid thing. What a waste of a morning...but if I can DIS, I'll be a much happier camper.

Now Matt drives the Jeep everyday to school:banana: . No more dropping off or picking him up. However, I think Jim will be driving the Jeep some this summer while Matt is probably in Michigan working at a camp (he is still waiting to hear).

Hi Angie! Yes, I prefer to fly to Orlando. $500 for all 4 of you is a great price! It doesn't save many hours, but it's a much easier day to leave the driving to someone else plus you're not stuck in a car for 8 hours.

I've had the BEST luck with DME - never waited more than 10 minutes once I got to MCO and checked in at the DME desk; and it's a very relaxing 30 minute drive to your resort. :thumbsup2

I haven't flown Spirit yet, but one of these days my dates will coincide with one of their sales (I hope!).

When are you going?

We'll be there June 9-15 at Pop Century. On the 15th we'll head over to my sister's for a couple of days ... hopefully they'll have their pool finished by then.

Mary, I thought of you the other day. I saw a license plate with WDWLUVR on it. Not quite the same as your screen name, but close.

Good morning all!

Darn, Monica! I didn't check the boards until this morning. Oh well. Don't think I could make it. Soccer games at 10:00 & 11:30. Birthday parties at noon & 5:30. Today is a day of running! Have fun at your crawfish boil. We boiled a sack the weekend before Easter. We'll probably all get cancer! For some reason they tasted like tar/oil to me. After we were all done & I said something, my dad did say that he saw a "film" on top of the water when they were purging them. Wonder where those crawfish came from!
