Lisa had a birthday party at the beach today. It was about three miles from JB's so Sharon, Laura (our flower girl) and I spent some time eating rock shrimp and have a few drinks. They were all good. :cool1:

I've heard that!! :rotfl2: Congrats on Irene's Milestone quest!!

Thanks for the monkey thought! Where did you

Got another one for you!

We had Family House Cleaning Day today. I am amazed at how well the kids worked. Pretty pleased with them right now.
Jay had gone to work this morning, and walked in just as we finished, so he escaped helping. But he was pretty surprised and pleased that the kids had done such a good job too.
:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Now I think I'll do my Easter baking. Jared wants Key Lime Bars.

Can you send the kids over? With John and the kids off yesterday, the house blew up. I spent a cold and rainy morning volunteering with the kids at our church's Easter Eggstravaganza. Mike has to put in 2 hrs of community service with his family for confirmation, so the eggstraveganza was easy to meat the requirement. John escaped because he was taking photos at a 5k/duathalon. Mike and I manned a moonwalk - Maggie and another 4th grader stayed inside nice and warm in the gym supervising a bean bag toss.

Thursday, it was 85 degrees - today 50 brrrr.... I spent the afternoon curled up with a book and a nap - it was a good day!

John has the mixer going making my grandmother's yeast rolls - they've become a favorite tradition with his cousins. We are having Easter with his Aunt, Uncle, Cousins and their neighbors. Lots of great food - the neighbor is from Poland - so, we also have the traditional Polish Easter dishes. Plus a few from his aunts czech heritage. yum!!! (for some strange reason my apostrophe isnt working...)

COLD here today. We've holed up inside. Kids did a little bit of school since they just took another week off to visit Grandma and Grandpa. We played a good bit of Wii. Now we are getting ready to watch a bit more of the "From the Earth to the Moon" series. :) It's 27 here today! Brrrrr. The only time I went out was to get the mail and we took Jack's Birthday bear to him. :) He looks good....a bit subdued, but he's got a lot of resting up to do! :)

Megan is up there in Ohio somewhere, and probably freezing to death! I should have sent some of the Key Lime bars with her...she could have delivered them to you.

Glad to hear that Jack is doing so well. :thumbsup2

Sounds like you're going to have some good "eats"....maybe I should send myself over!

HAPPY EASTER!!

We are off to the beach for Sunrise Service. It's 46 degrees and we are dressed like it is winter in Ohio.

For being Sunday morning, cold, and dark, Sharon is being very civil. She has already announced there will be a nap this afternoon.

Have a great Easter. We are off to see the sunrise over the ocean and then have breakfast at the pier.

Good morning everyone!
Happy Easter!

Good morning everyone!
Happy Easter!

Woke up to 38 degrees and rain - came out of church at 9:00 and the sun was shining! 45 degrees - still cold - but, beautiful. Proud mom moment, Mike was an candle bearer at the 8:00 service - his first time. He sat behind the altar during the service in full view of the entire congregation - no slouching, no fidgeting. Then post service, he spilled the beans and told me Dad fed him cookies for breakfast. :scared1: Talk about tempting fate when he needed to sit still...

Happy Easter, Double Dippers!

Beautiful day here, we spent a good bit of it outdoors. Went to the zoo, it had been many years and it's really changed! I think I got sunburned.
