We made to Charleston last night with no problems.

Lisa competes at 1 PM so we are having slow morning. Hanging around in a hotel is just not the same as haning on DCL.

Safe travels home Mary and Mark (and Bear)...It does not seem like your week has come to an end already.. The good news, is that you will be home to post more travel reports and pictures!!!!

Thanks for all the PD today. The surgery is set for the 7th....let us pray that it will be routine and minor.

Whoa!!! See what happens when I don't come out to play!!!

Congrats on the D200!! I've really been enjoying mine! The 18-200mm lens is a very nice lens for trips. Does a good job at a large focal length and is light enough, but offers decent balance for the D200.

The D200 is a fairly complicated camera with lots of options and controls, but if you can operate a human, then you can operate that camera!!!

Good Morning All!

Late night last night - Mike's 9:15 basketball game did not start until 10:00. John was up and out of the house early to shoot a 5k race. Hopefully the kids will sleep in.

Busy afternoon, Maggie's last game MIke's end of season party and then the Rockets game. For now, all is quiet.

Mother's tests cambe back postive for squamish cell cancer - the procedure is minor but it could take all day and be unpleasant and she is so scared. Her consultation with the surgeon is this morning, so I must get dressed and on the road......procedure is set for the 7th....

Angie, have you talked to your friend that moved here? I dont recall where she ended moving, but if it was out in midland or ellerslie like she had told me they were considering, I know they got the bad weather as well.

Amanda, glad to hear that y'all are ok too. I've been so busy with work that I haven't had time to check in. My friend Caryn & family are safe. They did move to Midland. She said that she, the kids & the dogs huddled in the bathtub. Her husband was at work. I didn't realize that neighborhoods got hit in your area. Caryn only mentioned shopping areas. Anyway, glad to hear that everyone is safe!

Do your kids go to the same elem. as hers? She mentioned that the principal passed away this week. SAD!

Kevin - I forgot how much I missed my SLR. I played around with the D200 last night - and was stunned at the pictures it took. Even Frances said - "wow" - and these were just candid shots of her and Lauren. I ordered Thom Hogan's eBook. I really like the lens - like the VR (vibration reduction) - and got a great deal with discounts I had. It's going to take a little getting used to - as it is big for my small hands.

Unfortunately I caught some kind of bug and have been coughing my brains out since late Wednesday. Not enough to stop the enjoyment of our last couple of days, but enought that when I tried to lay down this morning I just kept coughing. So I've taken something and hopefully it will kick in soon. I'll be back later with a fuller report.

Checking in from Charleston, SC. Lisa competed yesterday and had a very good meet. She was 9th on the Vault, 3rd on the Bars, 2nd on the Beam and 2nd on the Floor. Overall, she was 1st on the all around. Bugs (her friend who went with us at Christmas time on the Wonder) was 2nd. They were very happy.

Well, I see we are at another milestone.

Sharon and I are sitting here eating breakfast and planning the day.

Lisa stayed with Bugs last night.

Today Bugs is coming home with us so I will be driving 3 Miss Daisys.

We have to stop by a wine shop because Lisa won me a 20 year old Port. I just love when she does well at meets.

One the way home we are going to stop by Disney HH. We have never been there and figured it would be a good place for lunch.

I pinged Matt this morning and he is someone south of Orlando at a JROTC event crawling in the mud and having fun.

It not any fun going after a milestone by myself so I won't sit here and post 8 more times. I want to earn it....not steal it.
