My profound statement..............

It was really wonderful to spend time with my oldest daughter on a cruise, for the first time since her wedding cruise...and with my parents. It was also really great to spend time with Garry.
Always a pleasure to be with Vicki and Virgil and Frances and the kids.

BUT....... and you had to know there was a BUT in there..........

I missed you guys. I missed walking through the ship and almost constantly seeing a friendly face. I missed going up on deck and finding friends playing cards. I missed seeing everyone in their pirate outfits, and tropical gear. I missed seeing the little girls in their Princess dresses.
I missed Ohminnie's quick wit.
I missed Mary's shining face.
I missed Jim and Kevin's sarcasm.
I missed Monica's quick laughter.
I missed Irene's warm smile.
I missed Bear and Hedgie....just because....

And if I missed you on the list....I just flat-out missed you...period.

And I can't wait for our next Blabbermouth Cruise!!!

More New Orleans.......we went to Jackson Square and found a guy who was playing his "water harmonica".......a treat that our DIS kids learned to do on the ship many moons ago. He asked Jordan to come help him, and she was being shy and wouldn't do it. He asked nicely a few times and then finally (jokingly) hollered at her "Get over here!" so she did:

Last....for now....this blew me away......we had a lighted, decorated, full-size tree in our room!
For a second there, the evil LISA wanted to say "That's really a lovely tree, but we're Jewish".................... Stacey wouldn't let her!!!

Some of you really took that Blabbermouth title to heart! Just teasing. Without you, we'd be just another cruise thread.

So our kids were supposed to go back to school today. I was kind of looking forward to seeing my daughter wear something besides pajamas. But they have cancelled school until Monday the 8th. They don't have enough equipment to get all the parking lots cleared. Good thing we didn't book a cruise for when school lets out!

Yea!! Happy dance! I actually have the house to myself. Jay & Jared are at the shop, Jordan just left with Paul and Mom & Dad just headed back to the apartment so that Dad could take a nap. Off with the TV, off with the stereo..... might be lights out for me, too!!

Much better than it was. I can pretty much do anything with it that I want to, it's just a matter now of having it be a little more sore if I over-do it. So the good news is that I don't think the doc will "punish" me with a cast, but most likely another couple of weeks with the brace and I should be okay.
I'm still surprised though, at how sore it can get if I use it too much w/o the brace. Go figure. Never had this type of injury before.
