We're having a real THUNDER-BOOMER! The dog hates it.

I've been researching Guatemala. Our Norwegian cruise has a stop in Santo Tomas de Castilla, Guatemala. Geesh, if you thought Costa Maya was primitive, you should see this place!

If you need any info, my SIL is Guatemalan - she may be able to give you some insight - It is sounds like it is a very beautiful country.

We've been to inland Guatemala...we were at Tikal, which was astounding. And the surrounding countryside was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. I had no idea they had such beautiful lakes.
The port that we're going to is pretty ....what's the word?....remote? Undeveloped. That's it. It's Santo Tomas de Castilla.
:confused3

SOMEBODY needs to keep an eye on you!!

I know....when we moved into this house, I'd moved five times in under two years. I swore I'd never leave this house unless I was on a stretcher or in a body bag. And I still feel that way.
We've been here for almost 19 years....I wouldn't want to have to pack up 19 years worth of junk.

You do have a great group. What you need to do, is to convince THEM to cruise with US in 2008!

:rotfl2: Can you imagine having Squid, John and gaRry all on the same cruise???:scared1:

I think it would be awesome!

I've been cleaning out our junk closet. I promise myself I will never use it as a junk closet again. If it's junk, it gets thrown out.

I found a bag shoved way back in the corner with some old newspapers in it. Date on the paper, October 14, 1987. And this was inside:

The picture had been taken at a friend's wedding, a month or so before ours.
Ugly '80s style dress or not, I DO wish I could still fit into it!!

We are back after another weekend at WDW. We spent last night at Shades of Green because that is where the Funai Golf Classic is. Nice place.

We had dinner at V&A with the neighbors. The kids went to there favorite restaurant.....Official AllStar Cafe, the sports bar. They managed to take advantage of the Funai courtesy cars.

This morning we went finish on the golf course. It was a picture perfect morning with a beautiful sunrise. Everyone caught a fish. We saw deer and turkeys on the course. There is a lot of wild life on WDW property.

Today was spent at F&W. The big surprise find was a new white wine. Cru from Kludge Estate in Charlottesville, Virginia. It was part of the American wine tasting. It is a chardonnay that is fortified with brandy. Excellant. I bought one bottle and will be hunting some more down.

Virgil, have you heard of this one?

Hey Mary Have fun packing I know I'm not. Way too much stuff to still pack. I wish I were packing for a cruise that would be more fun. 20 years worth of "stuff" is an awful lot when you start seeing it in boxes. (still have lots to throw out too)
We got the keys to the house yesterday, now we get to clean and paint then start moving all of the boxes we have packed.

Time to get moving - literally.

Hope everyone has a safe and wonderful weekend.

Vicki
Good luck with moving and all that sorting and pitching!! Moving is SOOO hard!!!! :cheer2:

Good Morning All - We had a very productive weekend, a good time overall, except that team lost - Bad---- rally lost....an we went to the neighbors to watch the game. The first game I watched all the way and team lost.... :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: But we had a nice visit with the new Baby.

We attacked the jungle Saturday morning - more overrowth than there was time. Once more the pile of trash is huge so we stopped. I feltI earned Fish and Chips and a Smitwicks....before heading to mother's for chores at her house etc.

Sunday was beautiful here - perfect weather --- Church, grocery shopping, decorating for Halloween. Dinner was chilean sea bs - yummy!!!! Perfect from the grill with vegies and yellow rice.....

And how was your weekend?????

So, what's the present???? Did you or did you not punch the button? Inquiring minds want to know!

Christmas Shopping, the earlier the better!

HAve not yet punched the button - I was thinking of a Fontantini (sp?) Nativity - but then I was delivered the Lennox catalogue and now I cannot decide....

Due to the bad influence of folks on this thread we will need to get all shopping and Christmas completed early this year. My goal is for all to be done (wrapping as well) before we dive St. Thomas.....
