Dunno. I finally even have internet on my desk, but really havn't had much to say, been busy at work.

However, I find myself in need of asking someone a favor.

I want to get this: http://www.blueman.com/music/livevenetian.shtml

But, I don't have itunes. There are personal reasons I won't install it either, no offense meant.

IF someone would be willing to help who does use that service, and you'll have to burn me a cd from it, please PM me and we'll sort it out.

I think Stacey should just go to the show and tape the whole thing for you! :cool1:

Mark- have you seen BlueMan before? They are great! I've seen them several times in Boston- great old theatre, perfect 'industrial' atmosphere for such an odd but interesting show.

We have the CD from the show... if you don't have it, and want it, I can burn it and send it to you.

I have all their available cd's and the dvd.. except this cd as it's an itunes 'exclusive'. But thanks for the offer. :) Being a mechanical engineer their music appeals to me in a way that probably doesn't for everyone. Plus that show was just amazing. No I havn't seen them in person, might next year as the industry show for me is in Vegas, don't know yet if I'll go or not.

Now they do have a static show here in Chicago, but the only parking anyplace near it are these sleazy valet parking places, that, honestly, I just plain don't trust after a bad experience there.

They are on tour again, the nearest they get is they're downstate the day we're driving to Fla. http://www.blueman.com/tour/tourdates.shtml

Karen -- great news that the kids got call-backs. Can't wait to hear how they did.

Stacey -- I think you made the right decision to wear the boot. Don't want to do anything to permanently damage your foot. Have a great time on the cruise.

We got great news today. Dale made the El Paso Youth Orchestra. We had been waiting since the auditions to hear something and we found out early this morning. He is thrilled. About 5 of his friends made it. They will have practices every Sunday afternoon and then 4 concerts during the year. One of the concerts will be played with the Full El Paso Symphony, so this is great experience for him.

They had some really talented kids there. KT did well....but her size may get her in the end.....the character is a 12 yr old (which means she'd need to be a good bit bigger than the person playing the 4 yr old) Not sure that'll work.

Nick was more tentative tonight and had a huge paragraph of lines to read. His slow reading stumped him up a bit, but he at least was expressive near the ends of his lines. Hopefully the director saw that and can see the potential....plus his resume shows he has had decent roles.

The last time this theater had callbacks they said they'd call that night if the kids got in. This time the director wants until Thursday at 6pm. ARGH!!!

Thanks for the wellwishes everyone!!!

WTG, Dale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2:

Mark,
did you know this "Blue Man Group" has a free podcast??

Have to say I haven't had a desire to see Blue Man Group. Something about having food, water, and who knows what thrown at me just doesn't appeal to me.
But everyone I know that has gone has loved it.

Dad saw the oncologist today. The doctor said he "highly doubts" that the cancer has spread to his lungs. He thinks it may be a virus....the type that is found in the dirt and dust in some areas of the country. The type that we have here we call "Valley Fever" and almost everyone who has ever lived here has it in some form or another.
So the first thing the doctor did was to take blood to see if Dad has the virus. If that isn't it, then they will do a biopsy. But Dad and Mom were both encouraged by this news.
Thank you, everyone, for your prayers!
