MIKE, on the other hand, is an A+....

I thought something smelled funny outside...

Why not just use the grill like NORMAL people? (Oh wait... that would require NORMALCY)...

We did BBQ chicken last night... (On the GRILL... not in a waterheater pan)... then went out on the bike for a few hours (thankfully, the rain that was headed our way disappeared)... we're saving the shrimp for the FSU/Miami game tonight.

I'm working today... BORING!!! The St. Louis mothership is closed, all of the people who I deal with are off today... so... I might have to lurk on the CB today- its always good for a laugh.

Hey, I should be offended by that....but I'm not. It was a great night to sit outside by a fire. Beautiful sunset.

Since we were already there why not just cook dinner? Besides, it makes the kids appreciate the tuna, salmon, and prime rib that are set out for this week.

Not quite!
I didn't know what they were either, so I had to google it. From what I can tell, Jim is a total redneck!!!!

Water heater pans sit under the heater and collect water from leaks or overflows caused by excess pressure in the tank. The pan has an opening in the side for a drain hose to carry away any overflow water.

Great. A U TOP with Irene (which is ok) and my redneck friend! Who, btw, STILL hasn't told me when he'll be in Columbus---I'll take that as a sign! :lmao:

Don't be so sensative! I have not booked the trip yet. It is going to be the last part of Oct. I have to book a trip to Philly first.

I'm like Mike A+, but I have another bottle of wine to finish before I'm done with my liver!:rotfl2:

Matt and I had two great dives today. I did not take my camera so we would see something really cool.

We did.

The first dive was covered with bait fish. There were so many on the wreck that it was dark. We had to swim through them the whole dive. It's the most I have ever seen.

On the second dive we saw an octupus sleeping in a whole. He just slept away while we shinned our lights on him.

There were also so Goluith Groupers on the second wreck. They were just covered in the bait fish. It was just a cloud of bait fish swimming around the wreck. We followed them through the wreck and came up on the outside where they were. Looked in the port hole and there the big one was. 12 inches from the port hole with it's mouth open. Must have stayed there for 30 seconds just letting us look down it's insides. It would have been a perfect picture, for a dentist!

Water temp was 82 on top and then we went through the termocline. The water was shimmering.....70 degrees below the termocline. Cold dives. At least the safety stops were above the termocline.

And that is today's dive report.

I think garRy was saying he wanted Steve Irwin's liver..........

I get the whole ambiance thing... but why a water heater pan???? Hope it was a new one! Maybe I need to lend you my copper fire bowl???? (Wasn't it you that was watching the kids burn toothpicks in it at our Christmas party??)

Last year I had to replace the old wash tub that rusted out so I upgraded to this nice water heater pan. :Pinkbounc

It's low maintenance, stores outside, costs $4. For a couple of times a year it works great! And it makes Sharon so proud. :rotfl:

Hey Jim (and Kevin) I need some fashion advice.

Black or Green. And the correct answer is:
Superstretch or Titanium?
3 or 5 or 2.5, 3.5 or 5?

And can you teach Sam how to hold a tape measure? :teeth:

I think we shall have to mail order after all.....the birth of the grandchild has taken them out of state....

PS - Stacey - you can play too......

Hello everyone. We went north this weekend - sort of northeast I guess. We have friends with a cabin in the pines. It was nice to get out of the heat. Alan was out of town with his brother. The traffic was absolutely horrible Friday! It took us 6 hours to drive about 160 miles. We didn't come across anything in particular to cause such a back up. Our caravan consisted of a big RV (the cabin was full so they had to bring their own bed :)), a van, and me in my Expidition pulling a trailer for the first time. Actually, we lost close to an hour due to the van having a dead battery at the rest stop. We used cables and the engine wouldn't turn over. Finally, their 16 year old speaks up and says he thinks he remembers the cables being bad. I got my cables out and sure enough it worked. Fortunately we still had one more Wal-Mart ahead so we were able to get a new battery. The boys rode dirt bikes around all weekend. They had a great time - there were 5 of them. We nicknamed the Power Rangers 'cause there was a yellow helmet, orange, red, blue and white! No pink :teeth:

We ate well too. One of the mom's loves cooking. She made turduckin for dinner one night. Do you know it? It was a lot of work. You de-bone a turkey, a duck and chicken per certain instructions. Then lay the turkey flat, put a layer of stuffing, lay the duck (I think) and another layer of stuffing and then lay the chicken out. I don't remember if there was more stuffing. Of course she made two different spruced up stuffings. Then you close it up, tie it, and it actually looks like a turkey. I was impressed - but it doesn't take much........ :goodvibes I took pictures - haven't downloaded them yet. It was pretty good and I don't particularly care for poultry.

Our drive home was great - I left first, about 9:15am to beat traffic. The drive only took 2.5 hours!

Alan comes back today. He was off helping his brother work on his house so he can put it on the market. This has been an ongoing thing...........

Have a great day all!
Sherry

Well, we are under water again. We have had so much rain already and there is no place for the water to go. The streets are completely flooded in my neighborhood. I barely made itout this morning for work. Charley hasn't made it out yet. He made some calls and shifted his schedule around because his car won't make it out. He is starting to regret giving up his jimmy for a car. KFOX came and interviewed him last night for the news.

The city is not responding at all to come in and pump out the streets. School buses can't even go through the water and they are having to back up onthe streets, etc. What a mess. I just got off the phone with our county commissioner. He is a friend and i am hoping he can do something to get at least the pump trucks back in there.

see ya'll later
