:confused3 Northern Illinois, Cincinnati, BGSU???? :confused3 no real teams ...Texas is the only REAL team on their schedule this season... ;)

(saying that with the utmost affection as a BG alumna... :lmao: )

Yes, we can't even count the state up north as a REAL team. They never have been. Why start now???????

Btw, kickoff of football season has started. I can't say that profane word until mid-November sometime. :)

I thought this was amusing. BGSU's season tickets $65 - seats with backs $75. First 250 season ticket purchasers also got the right to purchase 2 OSU BG tickets for $120...Just a small indication OSU is waaayyy out of our league...

I talked to Mom tonight. Dad did NOT call the oncologist after I talked to him the other day. She said he still "isn't ready".......:sad2:

Stacey :grouphug: prayers and pixie dust, too!

Stacey, get the Downy Wrinkle Release. I bought it when someone on this thread suggested it. I never ironed on our cruise!!! It was great. Thanks to whomever was the first to recommend it.

Ang

You're welcome. Only problem now is that its useless if I'm only doing a carryon for a quick overnight meeting or whatever... that 'no liquids' thing is really gonna stink! Thankfully, my next two meetings (Seattle in Sept, Vegas in Nov) are long enough to justify checking a bag.

LOVE Downy Wrinkle Release!!!!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc (And it smells better than Fabreze (ick) for making clothes not smell like the suitcase, too.)

KikiKaren.....

Check out www.pediacast.com/podcast for today's upload.....one of the topics is "proper fit of football helmets." :) :) :)

I'll have to check it out. Ray is a stickler for proper fitting, well-maintained equipment.

I'm footballed out today. Yesterday's games were in Melbourne... so we were out of the house at 7AM to be at the field for 8:30 weigh in... Christopher played at 10... Ray & Elizabeth's game didn't start til 3:30, then we had almost an hour lightning delay in the 3rd quarter... by the time we got back home, it was 8... just in time to watch the ND game.

Christopher's team won, 12-0. They played great! Ray's team, on the other hand... played hard but lost.... makes for a long, quiet ride home.

Probably off to the beach today... if Elizabeth ever wakes up. We've reached the age of 'maximum sleep capacity'.

Thanks for the reminder of why I am glad Lisa and Matt are not doing PopWarner. It was terrible! The schedule was always all day long in the Florida heat!

Happy Sunday!

I'm up early this morning but boy am I tired. We were out late last night at the neighborhood festival out in Schaumburg where our friends live. We went with them to see Gary Sinise and his band (the Lt. Dan Band). I was expecting a festival akin to what our town throws but this had to be 10 to 20 times that. Mobs of people. Still we had a good time, the band was good, and we got to spend time with friends. This is a couple we met through the DIS boards. We did DVC Member Homecoming with them, sailed on last Member Cruise with them and will be sailing with them again in 7 weeks. Good people. Now I just have to comvince them to go with all of us in 2008. :)

That sounds like so much fun! I'd fight just about ANY crowd to see Gary Sinise.

And thank you for the hugs. I didn't sleep much last night.

We KNOW it's not you... you'd KNOW the answer to that question!!!!!!!!

Also had found this on the internet (it's interesting when you google yourself). It was part of a very long trip report on Mouse Planet:

After my moment of weakness, DD3 and I headed for the bus stop. We waited, and waited, and waited...a long time. Dad and DD5 got to the bus stop in time to get on the same bus we had waited so long for. We got back to the BW at about 1:00 for lunch and a rest. My altered plan for today was to hit Stormalong Bay for a nice long swim. We did that from 3:45 - 5:45. That's where we met OhioMinnie from the DIS who was so kind to take a digital picture of DD5 being buried in the sand. I didn't know she was on the DIS when we met; we mostly talked about being new DVC members and such. Thanks Minnie for the picture!

Pretty

We had Mike and Joan over for dinner tonight.....hot dogs in the driveway! :cool1:

Yes, we built a fire in a waterheater pan in the drive way, cooked hot dogs. They brought shrimp to go with the hot dogs. What a great meal!

Even had camp fire pies for desert. Thought of OM while cooking them. :lmao:

Our own Red Neck cookout!!

Good Morning and Happy Labor Day to all who are working today. Strange that a holiday that started out as a working man's day off now has transitioned to benefit the office worker at the expense of the blue collar worker.

Did everyone have a good weekend thus far? Most of the time was spent cleaning Mother's home in anticipation of the visit from her great-nieces and great-great nephew......Unfortunately I will be out of town when they come....Long story, I wish they had called me - oh well!!!!! C'est la vie!

So is John still around? It's not as much fun as threatening Kevin with setting his wife up for dangerous excursions......

Okay, so here's the question. I have the Canon PowerShot Pro1....what setting do I need to use to get "action" shots of Jordan dancing? Is it an aperture setting, or what? (please don't laugh at me)

Well, if it were film, I would know - high speed film, so that you can use the smallest aperture and quickest time setting.....Now digital?????? :confused3

Edited to say - NEVERMIND - already answered....
