Friday Funny....

Little Zachary was doing very badly in math.
His parents had tried everything... Tutors,
Mentors, flash cards,
Special learning centers. In short, everything
They could think of to help his math.

Finally, in a last ditch effort, they took
Zachary down and enrolled him
in the local Catholic school. After the first
day, little Zachary came home with a very
serious look on his face. He
didn't even kiss his mother Hello.
Instead, he went straight to his room and
started studying. Books and papers were spread
out all over the room and little Zachary was hard at work.
His mother was amazed. She called him down to dinner.

To her shock, the minute he was done, he marched back
to his room without a word, and in no time, he was back
hitting the books as hard as before. This went on
for some time, day after day, while the mother
tried to understand what made all the difference.
Finally, little Zachary brought home his report
card. He quietly laid it on the table, went up to his
room and hit the books. With great trepidation,
his Mom looked at it and to her great surprise,
little Zachary got an "A" in math. She could no
longer hold her curiosity.
She went to his room and said, "Son, what was it?
Was it the nuns?" Little Zachary looked at her and
shook his head, no. "Well, then," she replied,
Was it the books, the discipline, the structure, the
uniforms? "WHAT WAS IT ALREADY?"

Little Zachary looked at her and said, "Well, on
the first day of school when I saw that guy nailed to
the plus sign, I knew they weren't fooling around."

Hmm...that's interesting. The bad news seems to be going around lately. I just received some bad news this morning. A Michigan fan will be infiltrating our state this fall. I'll call the National Guard and have them on high alert.

:lmao:

So, seriously, which 36 hours and do you want to have a meet?

I don't know my schedule yet, but will try to work something in.

Although, if he's coming here for work, that means he'll be busy.....(or at least will have to ACT busy) so our time may be limited......that's IF he even wants to meet at all! :lmao:

You know me so well!:rotfl:

:teeth: I wonder if that would work for my kids?

Going to try to post that picture of the sky again. I need something pretty to look at.

We got some bad news this afternoon. The doctors got the results of my Dad's CT scan and it appears that his cancer has spread to his lungs. More prayers and Pixie Dust, please!

Now let's see if this comes out right...

Beautiful picture, Stacey.

So sorry to hear about your Dad. :grouphug: He will be in my family's prayers -- as will you.

Stay strong. :tinker: pixiedust:

Good morning Cruisers

We sail in 93 weeks*!

*DISclaimer. This is based on a sail date of June 7, 2008. This can of course change once the 2008 dates come out if DCL has anything special planned.

BTW speaking of special cruises - anyone see the thread on the main board about a rumor that DCL would go to Alaska in 2008? I, for one, would book that in a heartbeat!

Just got back from taking Jordan to the doctor. She'd landed on her foot wrong at dance early in the week, and was also complaining of a sore throat. She was up all night last night and had a fever this morning of 103°. Her rapid strep test came back positive, so she's got antibiotics for that, and then he sent us to get an xray of her foot. He thinks it's ligaments....which is worse for her than if she'd broken something.
Back home now, ate some soup, took a pill and going to lay down. Just once I wish I could stay home and rest when I need to! Oh well, I signed on for the Mom job. :)

Had to 4 wheel it to get through the mounds of mud and yuck. Not going to go back out for the rest of the weekend!

Where is that good luck fairy - I think she needs to pay you a visit.....
