Thanks for welcome back. It has been a chore. Lots of memories to sort thru. But looking forward to new ones with another cruise. Name is on list for when 2008 dates are released.

I think this thread will get mighty busy again when the dates are released!! Can't come soon enough for me! :yay:

Have a good night. I've had a LONG day - off to bed! :cloud9:

:tinker:Good morning cruisers :tinker:

Happy Sunday!

Welcome back Debbie - we missed you. I know how hard it is to go through everything. Did it 9 years ago with my mom. The blessing for me was she had only moved into her condo three years before so had already gotten rid of a lot and he condo was just a little over a mile from us. Still it is hard work both physically and mentally. :grouphug:

I agree with Laura - once the actual dates come out and we are booked on a specific cruise I think the thread will pick up again. Hopefully we'll even be adding some new people which will be fun as well.

Well what do you a know - an early morning UTOP with Debbie and Laura!

Good Morning All......Sorry I did not check in last night.....We went out to grab some late lunch and then crashed. Three trips to Home Depot and we ae almost done with what was supposed to be an easy project, replacing the bathroon vanity and sink...Let me see, what went wrong...no easier to say what went right - Ready...

Got it...

The new vanity did nt fit over the pipes, that required cutting and angeling the hot water line, the new sink stopper did not fit nto the old drain, the new vanity did not fit against the wall, cause the wall is not straight. And where is the paint to paint the places where the new one did cover the old one?

Sam did a superb job, it looks great.....we only have a teeny, tiny leak.....

As I said we were both very tired, and took a long nap -- woke to watch the strangest movie on PBS - "Gormenghast"

From the PBS Site "The ancient family of Groan has been incarcerated for centuries in the vast crumbling castle of Gormenghast. The dynasty is threatened by the charismatic Steerpike who escapes his destiny as a kitchen boy. As Steerpike charms and outwits the eccentric inhabitants into submission, including the beautiful Fuchsia, only Titus, stands in his way. The Young Earl and his pretender fight a bloody duel against the fantastic backdrop of the disintegrating castle. Who will emerge the victor and what secrets will they discover?"

As I said, very strange......

I think every Disney fan should visit Disneyland at least once. As Stacey said the thing that is most important to me is that Walt walked those streets, he sat on that balcony and looked out on the rivers of America, he held a party on the riverboat. It's a Small World is so beautiful out in Disneyland. POC and Haunted Mansion are both different from their counterparts at WDW. Plus you have unique rides like Matterhorn and Storybook Land boats.

I love WDW and since we own DVC we will be making many more trips there, but Disneyland holds a very special place in my heart.

OK - We promise - Someday, Honest!!!!!

We have made it home to Florida. Don't know about Matt since he has not called. Maybe some day he will figure out to call his mother when he is flying by himself. :rotfl:

The flights were great and coming back was not as bad as I thought. The time change really worked in our favor, but of course we are all still tired.

We will post about the trip, but first have to get the unpacking started.

Welcome Home - thanks for the on-line trip reports. And we want to see Grandpa's album summaries....

But it's a DRY heat!

Actually, now that we've hit our "monsoon" season, the humidity is up to 15 or 20%.....a pretty noticable difference for us.

One of my trips to HD yesterday was punctuated by a downpour of epic proportions - It seemed like 3 inches in 10 minutes, complee with lighenin and thunder.....

......

Thanks for the story as I head off to HD after church.

As we were walking out the door to the airport for Alaska I noticed some water on the floor. The garbage disposal had cracked and we were running the dishwasher. I put a bucket under it, put some tape across the sink so the dog sitter would not use it, and left.

Thank goodness it happened 30 minutes before we left!

Since we need to do some dishes I guess I should change it out. Hopefully it will be one of those easy projects. :lmao:

Good morning all. Have been really busy and unable to check in this week. Ashley has a 3 day swim meet this weekend and today is the last day. She has done well, but not as good as she would like. Friday night she came in 5th place in the 200 IM, yesterday, she got 3rd in the 50 Breast and the 200 Breast and 2nd in the 50 Fly. She was really unhappy with her 100 backstroke, as she added time and came in 8th place, which means she didn't receive any points toward the high point awards.

I will just be glad when today is over. We were there all day yesterday and didn't get home until 4:30. We actually won't start practices back up until the last week of August.

School starts here in 3 weeks. Summer is gone it seems like.

We also received our waitlist cards this week. Will wait to see what happens with that.

Take care all,

Good Morning All!

Final day of the show and then we're striking the set, turning back into a gym...Long day. We had a nice visit with my parents and they were very enthusiastic about the performance and not just because their grandkids were in the show. ;) My mom is quick to criticise and not so generous with her compliments, so her enthusiasm was high praise indeed!

want too join mine ???????????????????????

gaRRy
Garry,

We love you but we don't want to be on that waitlist.

It is amazing when a home maintenance project actually goes the way it is suspose to. No extra trips to HD, all the parts fit, no leaks.

Today was the day I really wanted the project, changing the garbage disposal, to go correctly. I found the exact same model, bought it. I fought the urge to upgrade, get the biggest thing out there. I just wanted "plug and play".

It did. Now on to the next chores, more pictures, laundy, video....

I think it sounds like she did great, and is being awfully hard on herself! Did she swim the backstroke last?? She was probably exhausted!
Congrats to Ashley for doing so well!!

Hi guys,

Missed all of you with no internet where I was in WV unless I went to the mall. It was really hot and stormy up there. Tried to meet up with Virgil but see he is in NY. Spent last 2 weeks trying to get mother's estate probate underway. Talk about pack rats. She still had the dress I wore to high school graduation 33 years ago. I guess one good thing have dropped two sizes and 30 lbs since the cruise. Lots of memories and hard to do on my own. Will have to make a couple more trips. Finally caught up on the pages I missed and ready for another cruise.

Debb, before you donate all the clothes, call up someone who deals in vintage clothing. Sounds like they would have a field day at your Mom's.

Stacey's in a smiley mood this morning!

Monica, nice to see you posting. You too, Pam!

I heard from the scuba divers. The trip was "awesome". Alicia told me they saw whales, seals, dolphins, and lots of kelp. I don't think they were in the water with the whales and dolphins, not sure about the seals. I'm sure Kevin will have a more detailed report. They get back at 12:15 today. I was glad to hear from them.

Hi all! I'm exhausted today! I hope I can get a nap in today.

Diana, it sounds like y'all had a great time at DL. I've never been there either.

Theresa, all I can say is YUCK! I hope your weekend is going better.

Glad the Scubas had a good time.

We took the day off Fri. & hit Six Flags. All I can say is EX-PEN-SIVE!!! I much rather be at WDW. I felt like we didn't do much. I think the girls liked the water play area the best. I didn't want to stay late since a girlfriend of mine was coming in town. She was coming in town to look at Columbus, GA. Her husband accepted a job there contingent on her liking the area. We drove to Columbus late Fri. night, spent the night then drove around looking at different areas yesterday. I thought we'd get to meet up with Amanda but we didn't. We drove back here last night. So, I'm exhausted today. Of course, I've got kids that wake up at 6:00 AM so there is no sleeping in for us. Trying to get the house cleaned today ... yuck!

Oh ... and I think I lost Ashley's Lands End swimsuit. I'm just sick over that. We got to the water play area at Six Flags & went to change in to our suits. I couldn't find hers so thought I left it at home. Got home & couldn't find it. All I can figure out is that it fell out of the bag somehow. Maybe I need to go search under the seat in the car. She wound up playing in the water in her clothes. I had a pair of dry undies for her so we changed her in to those & I let her wear my tank top as a dress for the ride home. I just wore my swimsuit top home.

That's what the cat and dog said too. I'm not sure if they missed me or enjoyed the break!!

We saw Molly in her usual spot on your porch last night when we were out bike riding... of course she couldn't even be bothered to pick her head up and look at us when we said hello. (Elizabeth asked me if she was real or fake....). Guess she's lost her 'mean dog' title... but then again, we weren't in the yard - just riding by.
