It's over. We fly home in the morning and Matt flys to Michigan in the afternoon.

Today we visited a wild life refuge, took a train ride, visited a glacier, rafted, and then had a family meeting. Even Sharon would consider this type of trip over a DCL. More details will be coming.

Now it's time to pack!!

Glad you had a great time...can't wait for the trip report and pictures!

Safe travels home...tell Matt not to get lost on his way to - where was it? Michigan?

I'm home...for about a half an hour. The guy called about my car. Said they found some other stuff that needs to be done to it, of course. I told him "Thanks for the advice. When can I come get it?". :teeth:

I've seen stories about people going to Mexico (and other countries) to get things done. I don't think I could do that. Besides, my dentist is cute (and a nice guy!):
MarkPeck.jpg
Makes it a lot less painful!

Glad everything went well, Diana! Sorry about Sephora! I never have too much trouble when it's just Jordan, but the last time, when I had Megan with me too.....THAT was trouble!

Irene....can't believe you've never been to the ORIGINAL! If you ever decide to go, I want to go and be your tour guide!!

Will you have one of those little flags?

We never really conisdered going to DL...it is sooo far away. We've been to the west coast on several trips but normally we were camping -- we have a life time goal to visit all the National parks....And have made a pretty good size dent in the list....We also have never taken a wine county tour in Calf.

See lots still to do......

It is just sooo far from Fla. to Calf. while WDW is a nip and tuck down the road.....and you cannot beat the Fla. Residency rates......

Still, with DVC points, maybe some time.....soon??????

Well, not this year although yesterday I did check out the SW Vacation Packages....

:woohoo: Got my postcard today from DCL that they received my request and I'm wait-listed for when the 2008 dates are released!! Makes it seem more real!!! :woohoo:

On the other hand, I still haven't received my shore survival kit - probably never will. :confused3

:yay:

We receive an advert. from the Nov. cuise - It has been almost a year since your last cruise etc etc....The gimmack was a small package of sunscreen.....OK DCL marketing, this is cute, IF, you are living up north AND it is the middle of winter.....This is not cute IF it is SUMMER, you are up North and it is 100 or you are living in south florida where your make-up and moisterizer has SPF in it already!!!!!

LAst year we had one and it was a small envelope of sand......cuter!!!!

SERIOUS NW, I am committed.....(ok - I could stop there)....as I was saying, I am committed to completing the November 2005 Cruise Album, you remember, the one project I was to complete BEFORE the 2006 cruise.....I have collected a series of photos as we did not have a camera for our dive in St. Thomas.....printer ran out of ink.....must buy ink and restart the project....

Off to do morning chores.....no pretty sunrise this morning....The computer room faces east, a nice perk!

Have a Good Day!!!!!

Morning has broken, like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for the springing fresh from the world

Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dewfall, on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass

Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, Eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God's recreation of the new day

:tinker:Good morning cruisers :tinker:

Happy Friday!

Very glad to have the weekend almost here.

Can't believe how fast that went. Of course the week always goes faster when you are on vacation than working. Have a safe trip home. Can't wait to hear all the details and see pictures.

Cool - a UTOP with the Scuba's!

We probably won't ever go to DL unless we're out there for some other reason. Would like to go see the USS Midway museum b/c my dad was on it. But need OTHER reasons to go out there besides those two things.

It would be VERY helpful if our WDW AP would at least get us DISCOUNTED tickets to DL. Seems silly to me that they wouldn't. I mean, after all, how many ppl go REGULARLY to BOTH places??????

Anyone notice anything.....uh.....DIFFERENT about me?

Guess that's what happen when you hang on the Community board a bit!!!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Not sure I want to tell Mike about this!!!!!

Jim, glad the Alaska trip was a success. If Sharon liked it, must have been really nice! Can't wait to hear more.

No word from the scuba divers. Might not hear from them until Saturday night when they get off the boat.

Irene, now that I've done it (gone to DL), I think you should too! Go during school, spend about four days at DL/CA,then head up to San Francisco and the Napa Valley. You guys would love that, Kevin and I did wine tours some years ago. Yes, a lot of the attractions are almost the same, but yet different. That's what makes it fun. Of course, POC is different, they've added Jack Sparrow and others, but even Haunted Mansion is a little bit different. There's a "bride room", very cool. If you go at Halloween, they really do it up. The only attraction that was exactly the same was Soarin'. So it was fun to go and see the differences. And get lost a few times (they sort of switched Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder)! The parades are different, the shows are new, even the fireworks are different. They started and ended with Wishes, but the middle was all new to me.

And something to look into, if you book a package with AAA, you get unlimited Fast Passes. Not sure how it works since we didn't do it. It might involve showing a pass at the ride entrance, or going to each Fast Pass distribution and collecting them, but still a nice perk. I'm pretty sure it's only DL that offers this.

Diana - thanks for the insight - we shall have to think about a DL trip, it is just sooo far away for 4 days....but then as I said, SW had some great rates...still, not this year. We have a week dive trip planned for St. Thomas in November.....now, if I did not have to work....I'd have lots of time...no money, but lots of time :teeth:
